- If the store you deal with does not have the extended displays of this company, look around or contact the company and see if they can aim you at a place that does I worked in a Big hardware store for 9 years and the smallest plated tubing I encountered was 1/2 in lamp parts and some plumbing stuff.

- Ya that is not the right way to do it especially on an aluminum blockOne of the many issues is you have also knocked a bunch of metal into your rings If this is a 'good' engine and you want it to last you should probably tear it the rest of the way down and take it to a shop and have the deck surfaced If you are going to do this before you tear it down you should CC itThis way you can do a compression calculation after the shop lets you know how much they had to take offYou will also need to know how many CC's your heads are.
