Q: What year did they stop using aluminum wiring in houses? I'd love to update a couple light fixtures but I've heard it's harder with aluminum wiring and I'm not sure what kind of wiring I haveMy house was built in '56 and I can't find anything conclusive in my home inspection papersAny idea if they still used aluminum then?:)
not sure of the year, but they had trouble with it overheating and starting fires

Q: Is it safe and effective to use aluminum foil to wrap fish for cooking?

Yes, you can use aluminum foil to wrap fish for cooking. Aluminum foil is a common and effective way to cook fish as it helps retain moisture and steams the fish, keeping it tender and flavorful. It also prevents the fish from sticking to the cooking surface. Ensure the foil is food-grade and clean. Seal the foil well to create a pouch and cook on medium heat to avoid burning the foil.

Q: Please answer this question aboveNot in too much detail hence the 'briefly' also not too hard as I am only doing GCSE Additional not University! Thanks so much :D

Q: I am a female..and although I'm all for girl power I need a light bike for easy transport. I plan on using it for leisurely cruises and occasional hiking/bike trails. What type of bike should I invest in- the most I'd like to spend is 250- steel or aluminum?
For weight savings, go with Aluminum, it is lighter than the steel, by a significant margin. That being said, steel will give a more supple and more pleasant ride. Aluminum bikes often can have a harsher ride due to the rigidity of the frame, just a characteristic of the metal. So there are trade offs for each variety. Personally, I have a few bikes, and when I go for long rides, steel is by far my preference over Aluminum. I don't think you can go wrong with either, they both just happen to have their own distinct advantages.
Q: To ensure that it's nice and juicy throughout?
Expansion blockLooks like a block of aluminum with a/c lines going to it.
Q: How many moles of:-AlCl3-Aluminium-Chlorinein .374g of AlCl3I know how to find the moles for AlCl3 however, when it comes to Al and Cl I don't know how to do itCould someone please give me a slightly in-depth response which could help me understand how to find them as well as the answers for them please? Thanks so much!
Well, you need to set up an equation(decomposition) 2AlCl3 - 2Al +3Cl2 Then you use the coefficientsSo you start with .374 grams of AlCl3 and stoich to the mole of itThe molar mass is approx133.33g/mole So, (.374g/1)(1mole/133.33g) leaves you with .00281 moles of AlCl3Then just do other basic conversions(.00281moles AlCl3/1)(2molesAl/2molesAlCl3) .00281 moles Al (.00281molesAlCl3/1)(3molesCl/2molesAl .00422 moles Cl2
Q: Is it appropriate to use aluminum foil for storing any kind of food?

Aluminum foil is generally suitable for storing many types of food, especially for wrapping and cooking purposes. It's excellent for sealing in moisture and flavor, and it can be used in cooking and baking. However, it's not recommended for storing acidic foods like tomatoes or citrus fruits, as they can react with the aluminum and potentially leach aluminum into the food. Additionally, foil should not be used with foods that require a long-term, airtight seal, as it can tear or allow air to enter over time. For best results, use aluminum foil as directed and consider the specific needs and properties of the food you're storing.
