Q:I need to weld 2 solid 1 inch thick bars of aluminum together at a 65 degree anglethat is the inside, not outside angleall of the measurements need to be exactWhat I need to figure out is what slant I should cut the ends of both bars on so that they fit together making the inside angle 65 degreesI'm not sure what the math used to figure this out would beI do have access to design programs like auto-cad but i'd prefer to do this simple and on paperI hope I was clear on what i need help with, Let me know if you need more details, any help is appreciated.
The angle with respect to the line along the pipe itself should be 65/2 32.5 degreesMeasuring with respect to a line that cuts the pipe at a normal, right angle would be 90 - 32.5 57.5 degreesNot sure which of these you wantedDrawing a picture on paper and labeling things helps.
Q:What are the advantages and disadvantages of a carbon crank over an aluminum one? Is it stiffer etc...? This is for road cycling by the way. Carbon arms that is.
Dura Ace crank-sets are as light as the carbon cranks. The carbon crank-set will transfer less road vibration to your feet, thus less fatigue.
Q:Aluminum foil or plastic wrap: when wrapping leftover food, which is better and why?
The answer for this depends on what it is and how you are storing itIf you are storing a meat in the freezer neither, it should be wax paper with a label to know what it isIf it is something you are going to fix with in a couple days a plastic wrap would be good so you see it and remember it and don't let it go badIf you are freezing something that will stick use wax paper wrap or if all you have is aluminum foil use itplastic wrap should only be used for temporary wrappingPlastic wrap makes a good short term and fridgerated wrap because it gives a good sealDon't forget, do not refreeze most meats, such as chicken and pork.
Q:i am practicing my coking/baking this summer and i need some nice desert dishes to make but im on a really low budget so no ingredients that are too expensive just pretty simple stuff but i have tons of time
Normal Cat Temperature
Q:1Why is it a good idea to sand the surface of a metal if it is not shiny? 2Al is more reactive than zinc and some people think that Al3+ can cause deleterious health effectsWhy might it be a bad idea to cook acidic food in an aluminum pot? would it be better if the pot is shiny and freshly sccrubbed or if the pot has grown dull while being stored for a few weeks? What in the world does metals being shiny not shiny have to do with anything? someone explain :(
a boat floats by displacing more water than what it weighs, so the wider and longer the more pennies it will hold
Q:How many layers of aluminum foil are equal to a layer of human skin
In what way? In its ability to reflect light; in its ability to be shiny; in its ability to keep food from drying out in the oven; or maybe you mean how thick? Aluminium foil will never be equal to skin
Q:Sand and water2Sugar and water3Oil and water4Sand and gravel5A mixture of heptane (boiling point 98 degrees Celsius) and heptanol (boiling point 176 degress celsius)6A mixture of iodine solid and sodium chloride 7A mixture of lead and aluminum pellets8A mixture of salt and iron filings
1) Drain the water from the sand Or heat the mixture, allowing the water to evaporate and catching the evaporate2) Sugar and waterHeat the mixture, allowing the water to evaporate (same as above) and the steam (iethe water) is collected and allowed to cool forming water once again, leaving the sugar3) Oil and water have different densities thats why u see oil on top of a puddle or if a tanker spills oil in the ocean the oil slick is on topSo to separate them u could skim the surface off the water4) sand and gravelHardmaybe cause gravel is bigger than sand u could use a screen with holes big enough to allow the sand through but not the gravel 5) heptane and heptanol use our old friend evaporation once againheat the heptane to boiling, collect the evaporate6) iodine solid and sodium chloridenot positive, but sodium chloride is just simple table salt, so u could dissolve the mixture in waterhopefully only the sodium chloride dissolves and the iodine remains solid 7) lead and aluminiumLead is much much heavier than aluminumActually i think aluminium might floatso put the mixture in waterthe lead will sink the aluminum will float 8) lol salt and iron filingsyour good friend the magnet can help u separate that mixture :)
Q:I am considering covering the walls in my room with aluminum foil/wrapIs there any reason why I shouldn't do so, in terms of any hazards to myself or objects/devices inside the room? I ask because you know that paper/cardboard are high in acid content and that plastics can deposit oils when heated, so I'm wondering if there were any hazards similar to those involved with aluminum or other metals that I should be aware of?
1mass Mass is the measure of the quantity of matter in an object 2volume is a quantification of how much space an object occupies 3density and specific gravity The specific gravity of a material is defined as the ratio of its density to the density of some standard material, such as water at a specified temperature 4boiling point The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid equals atmospheric pressure or at which the liquid changes to a vapor5melting point The melting point is the temperature at which a solid material becomes a liquid 6specific heat The quantity of heat, expressed in Btu, required to raise the temperature of 1 lb of a substance 1°F hope that helps.my daughter just did this stuff in science class and we studied for her test tomorrow.
Q:I am baking apple slices, which is alot like an apple pie only in a square pan then ices with a thick glaze icing I need it to be in a disposable pan as I am giving to someoneEverything I have read says not to bake a pie in a shiny pan (ie aluminum foil pans)I will take any advice as I would love for it to turn out well.
YES you canIt is done every day.
Q:I would like to know is it easy to recycle aluminium. I have a project and I wold really like your guyz help!!!!!!!:):):):):):):):)
Recycling aluminum cans is fairly simple. Just bag/box them up and haul them in. Other types of aluminum can be a little more of a challenge. Like with aluminum siding or sheets of aluminum. Hope that helps.
