2.Description

Aluminium is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleable metal with appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surface roughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easily ignite. A fresh film of aluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately 92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (as much as 98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strength of pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa, while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from 200 MPa to 600 MPa.Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.

Aluminium atoms are arranged in a face-centered cubic (fcc) structure. Aluminium has a stacking-fault energy of approximately 200 mJ/m2.

Aluminium is a good thermal and electrical conductor, having 59% the conductivity of copper, both thermal and electrical, while having only 30% of copper's density. Aluminium is capable of being a superconductor, with a superconducting critical temperature of 1.2 Kelvin and a critical magnetic field of about 100 gauss (10 milliteslas).

5.FAQ

1)what is aluminum?

Aluminium (or aluminum; see spelling differences) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.

Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite.

2)What's kind of payment term we can supply?

CIF,CFR, FOB and other.

Q:I'm just wondering how well aluminum can hold up.Ever since I discovered that fighter jets are made outof aluminum I've been wondering just how powerful the metal can truly be.
YesI would sprinkle a bit of flour on the pan also.
Q:What are 7 ways to use AluminumPLease i need tyhs for my project!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aluminium is facinating and very useful in many ways1It can be made into sheets and smashed into cans2It can be powdered and added to rocket fuel or fireworksFor power and special effects3It is lightweight and easy to formSo it makes good airplane parts4It can be spun like spun sugar to make many round things5It can be cut easier than steel, with machine tools to make almost any part for a machine6It can be melted and poured into a mold and made into a lot of objectsThis is useful for intricate things7It can be chemically altered and heat treatedIt can be very strong but brittleor very soft and gummyStrong and brittle might be used for Car Wheels and soft and gummy might be used for extruded bars of odd shape.
Q:I have everything I need, except that, and I don't want to bug my mom to going to Safeway again.
I heard once that you can use a brown paper bag from the grocery store, and if you are doing a meringue or something, spray or rub it with oilBut I await other answersInteresting question! (I've used wax paper with some success.)
Q:I have to scramble four dozen eggs for a breakfast buffet at the schoolAll I can think of that I have on hand to keep them hot is a big thermos that we use for lemonade during the summer. We don't have a way to heat or cook them at the school, but once I get there they will be put in a commercial hot food carrier to keep them hotHas anyone ever used a cold beverage thermos for hot food before? Did it work?
Flattening Irons are basically just 2 hot pieces of metal burning your hair to make it straightIf you can do cartwheels or handstands if you put your hair down and do he tricks then it's supposed to make your hair grow a bit faster, but I don't knowI'm no beautition, but I would give it a couple weeks to a monthHope I helped :) Best of luck!
Q:An aluminum plate is made according to the following dimensionsThe outer radius is 10 inches and the inner radius is 3 inches(See diagram below) Use p 3.14 as an approximate value(a) How many square inches in area is the aluminum plate (the shaded region)? (b) If the cost to construct the plate is $7.50 per square inch, what is the construction cost?
In addition to the other answersWhat causes ice damming is heat from your house is able to get to the roof, this melts snow, the water runs down your roofWhen it gets to your eves it there is no heat under the eves so it refreezesThis happens a couple times and you end up with water just sitting against your heated roof with no where to go because of the ice built up on the eveOne way to combat this is to have a properly vented roof, in this instance cold air is pulled up from the eve's, along the underside of your roof (keeping it cold and keeping the snow from melting) and out near the peakIf your roof is even venting it is pulling the hot air from your dryer up against the underside of the roof which is only melting the snow fasterIt sounds like there is more than one cause to the ice damming (shallow pitch to the roof, not enough insulation, poor venting, inadequate ice and water shield under the shingles, etc) Until you can tackle any or all of the contributing factors I would suggest clearing your roof of snow as often as you can and getting heating coils for your eves to keep the water that runs down from turning to ice.
Q:The aluminum in a package containing 75ft^2(2 is for square) of kitchen foil weighs approximately 12 ouncesAluminum has a density of 2.70 g/cm^2What is the approximate thickness of the aluminum foil in millimeters? (1oz 28.4 g.)I'm getting the answer 0.5521mmBut apparently, that's wrong (according to the book)The solution in the answer key is 1.8 x 10^-2mmHere is what I did:I divided the volume by the area; logically, that should give me the thickness:340.8g / 2.70g/cm^3 126.2275ft^2 (100cm^2 / 3.281ft^2)126.22cm^3 / 2285cm^2 0.055221cm0.05521cm x 10mm 0.5521Tell me where I went wrong.
You could raise the walkway area the thickness of the new insulation to get the full benefit of savings to your heating and cooling bills. This isn't easy though, as access to attics is usually tight, and getting lumber up there is difficultThe other factor to consider is the loss of headroom in the storage area if you do thisAlthough this is a lot of work, it is the way I recommend doing itDon't forget to seal off the entry areaA uninsulated hatch or door into the attic is a hole for heat to escape fromWhichever way you choose to go, do not use insulation with a vapor barrier (paper or foil), as there should be one facing down on the existing R-19 nowDon't allow insulation to come in contact with the roof, leave a 2 airspaceDon't cover any recessed ceiling lighting fixtures that are not rated 'IC' In Contact with insulation is okNon IC must have a 3 space on all sides and top to prevent overheating and possible firesLook inside for ceiling 'can' for ratingMake sure you have adequate ventilation in the atticThe best is a continuous ridge vent and soffit vents on both sidesEnjoy your warm homeYou say 'will I still have problems what problems?
Q:so im doing this rollercoaster project and my idea was to make the rollercoaster sliding down part out of foil like foil wrapper (silver) and im going to put it in a shoe box any ideas of how to make it work these are the only things i have
Dont panicGo to your ordinary GP who will examine you as you may simplest have a tear or contamination from the stoolThere is no factor speculating except any person authentic see's you.
Q:precipitation reaction that takes place when a water solution of aluminum nitrate, Al(NO3)3, is added to a water solution of potassium phosphate, K3PO41What is the maximum mass of aluminum phosphate that will precipitate from aolution prepared by adding an excess of an Al(NO3)3 solution to 50.00 mL of 1.525 M K3PO4?
50.00 mL of 1.525 M K3PO4 0.07625 moles K3PO4 0.07625 moles K3PO4 produces an equal number of molae of AlPO4 0.07625 moles AlPO4 find mass using molar mass 0.07625 moles AlPO4 121.9530 g/mol 9.2987 grams of AlPO4 your answer rounded to 4 sig figs is 9.299 grams of AlPO4
Q:Advice on Grand Cayon tour pleasePrice, Package, Company, etc?
Books say between 68-72 but that always feels really cold to me, plus I don't really have any control over the temperature in my daughter's room (we live in an apartment and the people downstairs control the AC)Her room gets up to between 75-78ish and then we have window AC units and ceiling fans to help keep it that wayAs far as sleeping I throw her in a onesie and swaddle her for the night.
