Of course, this is just a general rule. Other locomotive features such as number of cylinders or gauge also have an effect on locomotive weight.

- No, you pretty much have to stick with the set up the manufacturer gives you. While I have heard of two different sizes of wheels in a Hi/Lo set up, yours is the first one I have seen using 3 different sizes. The reason you can't successfully change the wheel sizes is that if you do, you throw off the alignment of the wheels, causing one or more of the wheels to lose contact with the floor/surface you are skating on.
