Aluminium is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleablemetalwith appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surfaceroughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easily ignite. A fresh film ofaluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately 92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (asmuch as 98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strengthof pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa, while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from200 MPa to 600 MPa. Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.

Aluminium alloys (or aluminum alloys; see spellingdifferences) are alloysin which aluminium(Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon, tin and zinc. There are twoprincipal classifications, namely casting alloys and wrought alloys, both of which are furthersubdivided into the categories heat-treatableand non-heat-treatable. About 85% of aluminium is used for wrought products, for example rolled plate, foils and extrusions.Cast aluminium alloys yield cost-effective products due to the low meltingpoint, although they generally have lower tensile strengthsthan wrought alloys. The most important cast aluminium alloy system is Al–Si,where the high levels of silicon (4.0–13%) contribute to give good castingcharacteristics. Aluminium alloys are widely used in engineering structures andcomponents where light weight or corrosion resistance is required

Q: Ok, so you know how frozen foods usually have, after taking it out of the box, a plastic bag over it? And also the plastic bag has 2 opposite sides with an extra flap of plastic so you can open it easier? Well, I've bought these same taquiotos before and they were in such packaging, but today, I opened up a box and it was missing the 2 flapsSo um is it safe to eat these taquitos?
here is what I do for any cooked food that I want to freeze: I first put the food into a freezer safe containerThen I allow it to refrigerate until it has lost all heat then I place it in the freezerOnce frozen I remove it from the container I froze it in and either put it in a freezer safe storage bag, or I seal it in a bag using my Food saverWhen I want to cook it again, I will place it back into a plastic container to thaw or if it is soup I will place it ina pot over low heat to slowly thaw and then cook.
Q: So this year I'm going to halloween party with my friend and I have no idea what to be! I want to be something really out-thereLike one year I was a pizza box (my friend was a slice of pizza) and another year I was a dice and then this past year I was roadkillThis year, I have no idea! It has to be something simple to make but really crazy and quot;strangequot; And something that's not.fairy, butterfly, angel or anything girly like thatSomething that would give the little kiddies on the street a good frightXD Aren't I nice? hahaSo thanks! :)
Go as a zipperDirections: Buy some taffeta or other cheap material and make a sheath type dress.long and straight, ankle-length, sleevelessWear a long-sleeved jersey the same color underneathBlack is a good color because it's easy to matchUse duct tape to make the zipper, going all the way up the front For the zipper pull and top, cover a paper bag with aluminum foil, cut out eyeholes, and attach a foil-covered piece of cardboard for the zipper pullOr, if you don't want to wear something on your head, just attach the zipper pull to the top of the zipper at the necklineSorry, it's not scary, but maybe you could do something to make it so.
Q: IF A PIZZA IS A CIRCLE WHY DOES IT COME IN A SQUARE BOX
Pizza packaging probably began in the 1940s after World War IIWith the advent of carry-out pizza, the first pizza package was most likely a combination of paper bag and a chipboard or corrugated squareWith this, the pizza is placed on the square and the entire unit is slid into the bag which is taped or stapled shutSubsequently, a circle replaced the square shape, making it easier to insert into the bagThis package was convenient (no pre-folding needed) and highly economicalBut it lacked stacking strength, heat retention, and product protection capability — three requirements for good pizza packagingSoon the paperboard pizza box appearedIt resembled the structure of bakery cake cartons of the time, in that the four corners of the box were formed by inserting a tab projecting from one wall into a slot in an adjacent wallDue to the thinness of the material, it requires a piece of aluminum foil or a chipboard or corrugated pad in the bottomTo impart rigidity and prevent accidental cover opening, the box is stapled or taped shut on all sidesThis was slightly less convenient than the circle and bag package, but it imparted a measure of heat retention and product protection — two key factors to functional pizza packaging.
Q: Hello,A long shot, but maybe someone can help.We have encountered two instances of seawater-cooled tube-and-shell heat exchangers with severe pitting on the inner surface of the tubes localized at the baffle positionOur findings were confirmed by videoendoscopy. My educated guess would be that the stress at these locations is causing the passivation layer to fail, but one of the exchangers is treated with ferrous sulphate to prevent erosion-corrosion.It's a mystery, and I have been unable to find any such instances in literatureYour comments would be appreciated.
Consult your friendly neighborhood metallurgistDepending on the quality of your endoscope images, someone skilled in seawater corrosion can probably tell a lot just by looking There are many types of corrosion and the causes varyIf it is near a baffle, you might be getting cavitation which damages the corrosion coating or, if there are abrasive particles circulating, it might be wear, if the velocity is low, sediment may settle there and create conditions for bacterial activity that damages the coatingIt is also possible you have poor quality metal and there is a microstructural basisSame as most engineering problems, the issue is determining the trade-offsIs it better to run until corrosion causes failure and replace the failed tubes or change the operating conditions (reduce water velocity maybe) or add cathodic protection? good luck
Q: It's a really nice bike,it's a 1988it's black and pinkIt has a gel Vetta saddle, Shimano SLR brakes, Shimano 105 crank arms, hubs, derailleurs and brake levers, Advent Bear Claw pedals, a Trek Computer, a CR-MO fork (Chrome Molybdenum Fork Tubing), Matrix IsoC wheels, Matrix IsoTech tires and Easton handlebarsIt also say that it is made of heat treated Alcoa aluminum if that means anything.
Your bike is old, not vintageYou may really like it, but that does not mean that others will share your affectionIf the rear hub spacing is not the current 130mm standard, that aluminum frame cannot be respaced, so that further reduces the resale priceEven in good shape, your bike is only worth $100 - $150 if it is in great shape
Q: Hello! So i have 3 chicken breasts that i need to cook in the oven for my boyfriend and im running out of ideas, any tips or advices?
always question my moral fiberThats why im so damn ready to die for iti dont follow anything blindly
Q: What is the best way to start? What tools would I need?Would having a truck or something to haul it over be required? What do scrapers want? What is the current rates in south eastren GA?I currently have a little hoard going, but I want to make more money.so any help would be nice!I collect mostly odds and ends, soda cans, wires, once I found a hunk of aluminum on the side of the road.
I would make Lasagna! That will win her over! I use the wide Lasagna noodles, Mozzarella cheese, Ricotta cheese, and Prego (meat)Layer it, and use lots of the mozzarella, so it well be stringyBeat up a couple of eggs, and spread on top, and than sprinkle Parmesan cheese on topBake on 375 for about 35 or 40 minutes, and the top is a little crispyIf she loves meat, you could always add some cooked up ground hamburger to the sauce French bread, and a ceaser salad , and that should do it! You could even put it together the day before, keep it in the fridge, and cook it the next dayThat will be less work and stress for you on the day she is comingAlso allow some some time to let the lasagna sit after it comes out of the oven, before you cut itMaybe 15 minutes, It will be firmer and cut better! Here's a easy desert you could makeMy family has always loved it! HOT MILK CAKE 2 EGGS (BEATEN) 1 CUP SUGAR 1 CUP FLOUR 1 TEASPOON VANILLA 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER ? CUP MILK AND 1 TABLESPOON BUTTER (BOIL) ADD TO ABOVE BAKE 375, 20 OR 30 MINUTES -Mix 3 tablespoon melted butter 5 tablespoon brown sugar 2 tablespoon milk Add ? cup chopped nuts Spread on cake Place under broiler until frosting is melted and light brown Good Luck!
Q: I'm 16 and I don't have a way of buying anything online, so I can't buy plansBut I really want to build a boatI want to build a v-hull skiff anywhere from 14 to 20 feetI want it to be able to go relax with my girlfriend out on the water and I also want to be able to take it out fishingI would like a planing hull and not a displacement hullAlso I would prefer aluminum but I am willing to do a wooden boatSo can someone help me out? If you've already built your boat and still have the plans, would someone mind sending them to me? They would be greatly appreciatedLeave your email if you're willing to helpthanks.
Lets be real about thisBuilding a boat isn't cheap !! If you don't have the money to purchase plans, then you can't afford to build one !! You can pick up a decent used 12 - 14' aluminum boat for a cpl hundredAdd a small outboard / trolling motor and a trailer and you are all set Check out Craig's list, E bay, your local paper etc
