Aluminium is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleablemetalwith appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surfaceroughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easily ignite. A fresh film ofaluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately 92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (asmuch as 98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strengthof pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa, while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from200 MPa to 600 MPa. Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.

Aluminium alloys (or aluminum alloys; see spellingdifferences) are alloysin which aluminium(Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon, tin and zinc. There are twoprincipal classifications, namely casting alloys and wrought alloys, both of which are furthersubdivided into the categories heat-treatableand non-heat-treatable. About 85% of aluminium is used for wrought products, for example rolled plate, foils and extrusions.Cast aluminium alloys yield cost-effective products due to the low meltingpoint, although they generally have lower tensile strengthsthan wrought alloys. The most important cast aluminium alloy system is Al–Si,where the high levels of silicon (4.0–13%) contribute to give good castingcharacteristics. Aluminium alloys are widely used in engineering structures andcomponents where light weight or corrosion resistance is required

Q:I'm just wondering since were going to be entering the peak season for solar flares in a few years and if a solar flare large enough to destroy all electronic equiptment on earth I want to know what I can use to stop it from wrecking my stuff iePhone, iPod etcWhich leads me to my question of would aluminium foil stop the flares damaging radiation and stop my stuf breaking?
YesIf your equipment has an electrical cord leading outside the foil an electical spike may cause damage.
Q:how do i spice up boneless skinless chicken thighs?
Recent?? DefineRECENT? I was thinking Chicago Deep Dish pizzaYUMMMMM!! Then, there was my sister who moved OUT of Chicago (area) and to WyomingBut that was over 20 years ago for her “POLITICAL CORRECTNESS is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the CLEAN END.” - Former US Senator from Wyoming, Alan KSimpson Republican since before she was born… and PROUD of it.
Q:A recycling center can recycle 1500 pounds of aluminum in one hourHow many hours will it take them to recycle 10 tons of aluminum? Round your answer to the nearest tenth(Hint: 1 ton 2000 pounds.)
20,000/1500 13.3 hoursThis is the same as 13 hours and 18 minutes (there are 6 minper 1/10 of an hour)
Q:my and my brothers and sister are board and I am looking for an easy craft using aluminum foil helpFAST!?
Wow dude! I didn't know you were rich!!! hahahaThe main feature that I love is that it's a townhouse so the top floor has a nice view and I have trees across from me.
Q:I definitely think that cans are better, because they are great for portion control and the soda keeps longerThe downside is that mountain dew(diet or not) taste bad out of a can and so does lemonade it seems to adsorb the taste of the can itself.Bottles are not all that good, the clear ones if left in the sun or direct lightThe contents expires fasterThe 2 to 3 liter bottles, if ones family has no control they might drink too much so if it is like my family having several 2 liter bottles such as my dads diet pop, one or more people might drink 2liter or more per day.(like my dad usually does)What is the wise way to bottle these products? Why don't some people practice moderation?
I personally liked the old glass bottles best, you know back in the day when you actually needed a bottle opener to open a bottle of popHey, it wasn't that long ago either, I'm only 18 Lack of self control on the consumers part should not be blamed on the manufacturer2 and 3 liter bottles are good for parties and families and such Cans are alright, but I miss my glass bottles.
Q:OK, I really like Apple's MacBook in Black. And only in Black. I pick black because I think that you can see less scratches and smudges on it and it looks more elegant. Anyway, your input on a Aluminum MacBook in Black in 08. Again, I'm not talking about MacBook Air becasue I dont wan't that piece of Shittaki. So, again your thoughts of an upcoming Aluminum MacBook. It would also be great if MacBook Owners would answer this and give your thoughts if you would have chosen a Aluminum MacBook and the one you have right now. ThanksPS: No Foul Tongues Please
MacBooks are not aluminum, the MacBook Pros are. Check the rumor websites like Mac Rumours for speculation on what Apple might offer in the future.
