- Must be pretty desperate if people are prepared to share their mobile numbers on yahoo.
- Q: I have a business online which i need to put my mobile number onto. The thing is can i have a different number on my mobile that i can put online, which is linked to the same phone.Sorry i know you must be thinking WHY but i have my reasons. Thanks
- Only with a dual SIM device: Dual SIM phones Mobile phones with simultaneous dual SIM capability built in have the advantage that there are no possible legal issues, breach of contract, or voiding of warranty. They allow both SIMs to be active simultaneously and allow calls to be received on either number, unlike adapters that make one or other number active as required. Normal GSM phones contain a single transceiver; dual-SIM phones must have dual transceivers, and need to display signal strength for both networks. A phone with a single transceiver cannot be converted to simultaneous dual-SIM operation; at most it can be made switchable with the use of an adapter. Although battery life (talk time and standby time) of dual-SIM phones is reduced, typically by about a third, when both SIMs are active, to compensate this they often came with better capacity batteries compared to single-SIM phones. As of Autumn 2007 some little-known Chinese companies supply inexpensive dual-SIM mobiles, mainly in Asian countries. The latest model include I-phone look alike which is the smallest dual-SIM phone ever built. Philips has made models Xenium and 699 with this capability belonging to the restart to change active-line generation. Samsung also released the D880 DuoS in November 2007, a slider which can hold two SIM cards with simultaneous standby, and E Ten will have announced a dual SIM 3G phone for October 2008 from their Glofish range. The WIKI dual SIM phone with integrated TV is also increasingly popular in the African region.
- Q: I want to sell my Pre-paid Virgin Mobile Prepaid phone, but before I do I want to make sure that you can reactivate it after you cancel so whoever buys it can actually use it. Can someone please tell me how to cancel it, and how the person buying it can reactivate so i can pass that info to them? Please answer this. Who ever can answer this will get BEST ANSWER and the HIGHEST POINTS POSSIBLE I CAN GIVE!!! :)
- I would call Virgin and cancel it after the time has run out on the phone. I wouldn't recommend going and changing the name (If it even lets you do this) and number. What if that person were to somehow able to have access to your previous payments you made by a credit card etc. I think you should just call Virgin, and explain you want your account canceled and you are going to give the phone to someone else and you want to be sure none of your accts info will be on it. I would also ask them how to factory reset the phone itself to erase any downloads you did or text stored on the phone and browser history and all that stuff.
- Q: i want a virgin mobile phone, does the activation automaically give me minutes to talk, because my friend told me that when i buy a virgin mobile phone, it doesn't come with minutes, does activation mean that it gives me minutes?
- Some of the Virgin Mobile phones do come with minutes, but they'll clearly state it (such as currently occurs with the Aloha or Red Cyclops). If you activate a phone being passed on from someone else they give you (and the other person) minutes. There are times over the years they've also had coupons during activation to give you minutes, and you can find kickback codes out there now to give you minutes. If you use their Sugar Mama service (where you click through ads) you can get 5 free minutes per day. Anyway, you *can* get minutes via methods such as the above, but you'd otherwise need to add funds to your account to get them. Activation won't give you minutes no matter what.
- Q: I just don't understand the methods of payment, plus its so expensive and I do not understand how everyone manages to afford a mobile phone ,just even making a few seconds they take of more than 50p off , Im on o2 I heard thats the cheapers but I was wondering what is cheap ?I know nothing on mobiles I one , and it was a very cheap one it cost 20.00 quid I was wondering which phone is good and which company makes low cost calls as possible
- OK, it's either a prepay deal, or a monthly bill. Prepay is probably easier for you to manage. You decide what you'll spend; say $5, ?10, whatever. Then you go into a shop or use an ATM and pay that amount upfront, before you ring anyone. You now have credit of 5, 10, whatever, until you use it up by making calls or sending texts. The calls will each cost more, so keep them brief : ) Many networks have a deal where if you are Prepay and run out of credit, you can text a friend or parent for free to call you instead. Monthly deals mean that the calls you make are cheaper, each. You agree to pay say ?30 per month for maybe 100 minutes, ringing people. If you make calls and stay on for longer than 100 minutes that month, the price of the call goes up a lot per extra minute, and they bill you for more than ?30. If you use less than 100 minutes, you still pay that ?30. You can ask them to recommend you a deal based on how many minutes you spend on the phone so that you get it right. How do people afford a mobile? They text each other instead of making calls. They buy their kids a prepay phone so they can only use what credit they have at the time, and don't commit to spending a set amount every month. Many networks (O2, Vodaphone) will give you a welcome deal when you sign up with them; maybe 50 free text messages for the first 3 months. These can be free only if you text other O2 customers, for example. Or they offer deals if you get others to sign up with that company. For a year. You should ask most of your friends which company they are with, as it might suit you. But you don't need to be a salesperson for them if not! Also, most will give you free call credit if you buy a new mobile - or even a new SIM card, from them. They might give you $10 worth of credit each month for the next 8 months, for example.
- Q: Does anybody know any kind of PDA or mobile phones that comes with full internet browser like on a deskstop or laptop? It gotta show the pictures and everything on the webpages.

- Q: Hello, I recently bought my wife a new mobile phone from Argos in the U.K. the same model of phone I bought before from phones4u was already unlocked but unfortunately I was unaware that Argos pay as you go phones are locked to the network in this case 02. Can anyone suggest a good website for unlocking her mobile phone, I am currently in Turkey and we have been unsuccessful in finding a solution, we have been quoted up to 23 English pounds which is way too much. The mobile phone is a Nokia 6300 and it is on the 02 pay as you go network thanks in advance
- i assume you're like me and basically prefer to adjust networks, e.g. Orange to O2. regrettably, the A62 is a pig to unencumber, and demands a decrease in a song on the circuit board, very gentle, in all probability to break the telephone. There are no straightforward codes you could enter by the keypad, so which you will no longer basically bypass right into a save merchandising We unencumber telephones, as some have stated. I basically paid ?20 for my A62, so I took the view that it quite is now quite surely worth the problem and risk attempting to unencumber it, and could in all probability purchase yet another ?20 telephone from O2. the different responders could feel embarrassment approximately themselves, the two accusing you of stealing the telephone, or betraying finished lack of information of the telephone you asked approximately.
