Q: Hi i have been doing some research into mobile phones and i came across a few terms that really confused me, i understand that when you talk on the phone the data is converted from your voice into digital signals, the part i dont understand is where modulation such as PSK occurs and how TDMA and CDMA fits into all of this can someone tell me what the relation is between these things.thank you
There are a few parts to a mobile phone system: most obviously you have the radio interface, some kind of two way radio link between the handset and the 'base station'. This transmitts and recieves digital data using quadrature phase shift keying (PSK). This is a kind of modulation very similar to FM, but is used with digital signals rather than analogue signals. So the digital data is used to phase shift modulate an RF carrier which is then transmitted, and picked up by the base station, which then demodulates the PSK signal to recover the digital data. This is all very well and good, but what do we do when we have many users? How can the base station distinguish between the signal from one hand set and another? This is where Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) come into play. TDMA (used in GSM systems) is a kind of time division multiplexing. Each user gets a certain 'time slot' in which they are allowed to transmit their PSK signal in. So each user takes a turn and sends a few bytes at a time. In GSM there are 8 time slots (I think, i cannot recall exactly) in each channel (frequency). The bit rate is low and special vocoders are used to get voice audio into a low bit rate. CDMA works differently, on principles originated by an Austrian actor (and electrical engineer and mathematician!) Hedy Lamarr
Q: hello i recently purchased a samsung D880 Mobile phone, and i need to view pdf files on it.i searched on google but i got a little confused because there aren't any accurate results for what software to use.i would appreciate it a lot if you just direct me to the right place.thank you yahoo community
Samsung Galaxy observe 4 to the modern-day, and that's fairly good in this cellular telephone. reveal great emulator. There are all varieties of paintings. And the telephone is lost, the course could be performed manually. Which turns into the hot telephone.
Q: I plan to travel from USA to Germany, and would like to have a mobile phone to keep in touch with my German friends. I have a GSM phone. But if I use my current mobile plan (T-Mobile USA), I will end up with high roaming charges. What's my least expensive option, preferably with free incoming calls in Germany? If it's a German prepaid SIM card, what kind should I look for? Can I order one from home, or buy one after arrival in Germany? Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.
You get them in any phone stor or internet cafe The most commun are 'T mobile' and 'Vodafone' Usually all are free for incomming calls within Germany.
Q: I want to get a new mobile phone so i was just wondering which mobile phone should i get and which one is the best one at the moment?
Well, it depends on the wireless carrier you have, and what you do with your phone. If you love taking pictures all the time, get one with a really good camera like that new LG Viewty or whatever it's called. If you like texting, get one with a full QWERTY keyboard, and if you're a businessperson or browse the web a lot, look into a smartphone.
Q: if i get a t-mobile phone off OKorder or craigslist can i put a pre-paid att sim card in it and i work? without having to call the comnpany's and crap and unlock it .
the two your telephone ought to be a T-cellular telephone already, or it ought to be unlocked. telephones from a service come locked, so which you would be able to purely use SIM enjoying cards from that service. in case you choose to unencumber your telephone, you may the two ask T-cellular and spot in the event that they're going to, or look into the internet for unencumber codes or an unencumber code generator on your sort of telephone. yet while to procure the telephone without delay from the producer, or did no longer purchase it with a calling plan, it is in all threat unloced. prepaid vs. non-prepaid shouldn't reason a topic. the telephone purely makes use of the SIM card to be attentive to what service and account to bill, and the service comes to a decision how this is billing you. (To the guy above: it is approximately SIM enjoying cards, no longer calling enjoying cards.)
Q: What is the difference between mobile RAM and ROM?
ROM is the phone comes with space, so you used to put things, such as the computer inside the hard drive.
Q: Bluetooth headsets for mobile phones
As they have already answered- you have to have a mobile phone for Bluetooth to work. But what someone said about it being illegal to use Bluetooth while driving. That is not true. In the US, the laws that are coming out are based to stop drivers from using their mobiles to talk while driving, and not having both hands free to drive. Bluetooth assists in keeping drivers safe and both hands free and on the steering wheel. People driving while using their mobiles to talk and or text while driving is getting out of hand and people are getting seriously injured or killed because people choose to be ignorant and NOT use a hands free device such as a Bluetooth headset. I never leave home without it ;)
