Q: Does this Graphics card have a 15-pin d-sub mini/VGA output socket? Would the monitor be the right frequency?
All you would need is a DVI to VGA adapter, many graphic cards bring it, I'm nut sure about that card your interested in. If in any case it the graphic card doesn't bring the adapter you can always get one in a radio shack or similar.
Q: I don't know why a liquid crystal display, eye pain, but with a flat screen, what did not, is that liquid crystal display more damage to the eyes???
CRT CRT displays should no doubt be eliminated. Liquid crystal is the general trend. Almost like watching LCD paper, but due to the high resolution, high brightness, small distance, may cause eye acid. But this is only the eye itself. The CRT cathode ray display has harmful rays that affect the eye
Q: Acer 17 LCD computer Monitor, Part# AL1706
Try it on another computer to make sure the problem is the monitor and not the graphics card. My exp has been its usually the video card not the monitor. Eliminate the obvious and whats left is the problem.
Q: I'm currently using an 8 year old CRT monitor Here are the problems: 1) brightness adjustment is dead (0-100% no change at all) 2) Horizontal size is also dead (my screen is stuck @ 800x600 resolution) 3) everything is dark ( I need to adjust brightness using ATI tray tools to somewhat clearly see the pictures / videos) I can't decide whether to buy a CRT (because its cheaper) or an LCD (because its lighter and takes up less space) Here are my needs: 1) Must be economical (don't really need a huge screen about 17'' would do must not consume much electricity) 2) Must be eye friendly ( I research a lot in the net and often getting my eyes dried my optometrist said that it may increase my grades) 3) Must have good picture quality (I play games like spore, CoD4, Crysis, etc. and do office work, watch movies, etc) 4) Must have durability long lifespan
well as per ur needs.LCD suits u just fine.its perfect for u.on the contraryCRT consumes more powerisnt eye friendly.but its cheap. i strongly recommend u buyin a LCD monitor
Q: My monitor just bought 2 months of appearance, should not be the reason of the monitorTwo days before the emergence of black screen phenomenon. The first time black, I forced to shut down, never opened, each boot. The sound that can be heard when the machine starts is that the display just shows the trademark and is always black,On the second day, I plugged in the power of the monitor again and spent a day, but it's dark again todayI had to take the key again. But I am worried and black, which master to help me analyze and analyze?..
The display of data cable jack and host graphics card connection problem, or graphics card problem!
Q: Do you need to erase the LCD?
There are two entirely opposite versions of the Internet: "degaussing" and "do not erase"! Personally think that does not require degaussing, reason is: liquid crystal display and CRT display principle are essentially different, will not cause adverse effect of remanence external magnetic field and the metal components of the display on the LCD color and color purity, so the liquid crystal display does not require degaussing circuit or degaussing.
Q: I have a great offer for a 40 LCD (NEC) PC monitor that I want to use for TV, games and DVD player. I have heard that PC monitor's actually have higher capabilities than an HDTV, is this true? (For high def I would need a tuner anyway, so I'm not worried that a PC monitor doesn't have a built in tuner). Your input is appreciated!
The only LCD monitors with higher capabilities than HDTVs are the 30-inch WQXGA monitors, which have 2560x1600 resolution. HDTVs top out at 1920x1080 (aka 1080p High Definition), which is what most computer monitors top out at as well. So either one is fine, really, unless you want very high resolution, in which case you need a WQXGA monitor.
Q: I like to learn about repairing lcd monitors.
collage
Q: I have bought the LCD computer monitor, and previously it worked well, when u turn the power on and if it is not connected to the CPU it says no signal, but right now even if i connect to the CPU it says the same, every thing else looks pretty much fine from outside, can you help me with that
Your monitor connects to the video card not the cpu. If you get no signal it could be one of the following;_ 1 the leads from the monitor to the video card is not connected properly make sure that it is pushed into the video card and tight. Check the lead itself at the monitor end try lifting the lead up so its above the monitor see if that does the trick A faulty lead can cause that problem Note if it is the lead to get it replaced can bbe dearer than a new monitor 2. the video card is faulty.: check the video card make sure it is seated in the slot properly If neccessary try it in another computer. If it still does not work get a new video card.
Q: I have a 19 LCD Monitor, this one
You might be able to use the VIVO cable you are describing to get the Wii video to show up in a window using video capture software, but its going to look like crap, because its only running it at television resolution, which is basically 240 horizontal lines. A better option is to get the Wii Component Cable (like the yellow, red white, but its red, blue, green, white, red). They cost about $25. You connect the component cables to another converter called a 'Component to VGA Converter'those are a little more expensive, but if you google that term you should find what you need. This will basically double the video resolution and make the picture look a TON better.
