Q: I am looking to get the best all around monitor, size/price/performance. I am looking to get one main monitor, and 4 - 7 secondary monitors. I'd like to get 7 cheap $100 secondary monitors, but I believe I am gonna have to spend around $150 each, so I think I might as well get 19 better quality monitors, I'm really confused on what to get, so I'm looking for any light shred. Also monitors will be used for gaming. I will pay $5 - $20 depending on how much the best answer helps me with my final purchase, thanks.
I have had a Hewitt Packard for 6 years with out any problem------You get what you pay for---and most monitors are good if they are taken care of----just like a woman.
Q: I have been reading some reviews regarding this monitor and many users are complaining about a buzzing noise the monitor makes when the brightness is turned down. Does anyone know if I should purchase it or is this a known problem on all these models? Also, how well does this monitor perform to the Dell 19 widescreen monitor? Thanks!
I don't have either of these monitors but I do know that the 19 inch Samsung was rated one of the highest monitors by PC World in their 100 best products of 2006, the Dell was also, but it was a little bit lower. If you don't feel comfortable buying, go with the Dell, I know that they produce good LCD monitors and have won awards for them. The monitor I have is a Benq. I don't know how it stands to todays standards, but when I bought it around two years ago, it had better quality than any other monitor I could find. So far I haven't had any problems with it and it works great. As long as you go with a pretty common brand such as Samsung or Dell, you should get a pretty good monitor. If there is a problem with it, I'm sure they would be able to help fix the problem. Hope this Helps!! Have fun with the new monitor.
Q: I have a 19” tube monitor now. I have vision problems and plan to buy a 22” wide screen. I make everything larger and I usually need to scroll left and right to see everything. Are there things I should avoid or look for when buying one?
Something with a low Refresh Rate. They are usually like 5ms or lower. Lower would be better. I doubt you could tell the difference but if anything to look for that would be it.
Q: Are LCD monitors all HD capable?? Just wondering my bro says they are but I only think that if they say they are HD than they are.
No. I used to have a really old LCD monitor that was pure crap and wasn't even close to HD compatible. You need a HD monitor/tv.
Q: I'm between aoc and samsung right now. If possible, can you tell me what to look for in the specs so that i can compare? Thanks :)
AOC is a cheap never heard of before brand. I would go with the Samsung, a company who has a good reputation and will stand behind their product.
Q: 1.Samsung2.AOC3.Benq4.LG5.AcerAnd i have a idea about Acer X193HQ and your opinion about X193 and other Brands
The video exhibit gadgets with HD in many situations ability it particularly is HDCP-compliant. HDCP compliance is needed on condition which you propose to apply the exhibit screen to do issues that require HDCP, including Blu-Ray DVD playback in extreme-definition, or using the exhibit screen with an HD cable field to exhibit screen QAM-encrypted cable television extreme-definition 1080i programming.
Q: Hi, these are the specifications i found for my LCD computer monitor, just wondering if they will work with a PS3 and if so what cabling would I needModel CMV T38D Brand ChiMei Monitor Type Flat Panel LCD (Passive Matrix) Size 20 inch Contrast Ratio 650:1 Max. Resolution 1400 x 1050 Brightness 330 cd/m2 Response Time 8 ms Dot Pitch 0.2916 mm Digital Video Input Standard D-Sub DVI-D Synchronization Range - Vertical 56 - 76 Hz Synchronization Range - Horizontal 30 - 82 kHz
These specs are useless. All you need to know if it is HDCP compliant. PS3 only works with HDCP compliant displays. Check your manual if it says something about HDCP. (Google HDCP if you want to know more).
Q: Are generally normal, but a dark things display picture is a little black, for example, when playing the game when the ground is dark, the ground completely appear black (notebook display can display the ground itself). My laptop is connected to the LCD TV, using the HDMI output image
The next drive wizard update, show drive can not, then go to the system self-contained loader, which tune inside, there are tips software, it should be display drive, hardware is the monitor, you go to customer service maintenance
Q: I have a Samsung Sync Master 2032NW LCD Monitor. We have Verizon FiOs cable TV and I have an eMachines T3506 computer. The Samsung Sync Master only has one connection for anything to connect to, other than the power port. The connection needs a 15-pin cable to connect to. I would like to connect my computer and my FiOs cable box to the screen so it will be a TV/Computer.Is there a 15-pin cable that splits into two ways that I can get?I'm only a bit tech savvy, so please try to dumb things down a bit. Thanks in advance for the help.
That monitor is not good for hooking up to Fios. Your Fios receiver box has an HDMI output capable of displaying High-Definition programming at 1080i. That's 1920x1080 resolution. You can only connect that HDMI output to a display that has an HDMI or DVI port. There are no TV tuner/capture cards that can decode the QAM-encrypted high-definition TV channels like CNN HD, Discovery HD, HBO HD, etc. If you use that you will have to stick with regular low-definition. Your best bet is to upgrade to an HDTV or monitor that has HDMI.
Q: I wanted to know if it was possible, to route a video signal to my LCD monitor. The monitor only has a VGA and that newer digital port, and the DVD player supports component and S-Video. Thank you
You can buy adaptors that change the S-video or component into either VGA or DVI. You would need an alternative for sound. As for anything other than what's coming from your DVD, I don't think it would work without other hardware. For instance I can't just run my satellite straight into my monitor without a converter or a TV tuner. The TV tuner is your other option. They can be inexpensive, and let you plug in a lot of different connectors.
