Q: I've always wondered, how do they lift cranes? Bigger cranes? What do you think/know?
Most cranes use hydraulic lift. But lets say they are building a sky scraper the size of the dubai tower. They set a hydraulic lift crane to a certain point and lift components for another crane up. They then use that crane based at ground level to lift up parts. the other crane is based in the elevator shaft and they can set that crane up as high as they need.
Q: How do you erect a crane. surely you would need a crane to make a crane.?
Not necessery. You can make it with Pulley blocks.
Q: Is there a crane big enough to lift Hillary off the yoga matt when she has finished her yoga?
Unfortunatly....
Q: How would you argue that Helga Crane does change in Quicksand by Nella Larsen?
Helga Crane
Q: In Scottsdale AZ I have never noticed them before this year. They are on the walls all around our doors.
Crane FLIES not cranes. The winter crane fly has an abundant hatch--well, during early spring or late winter. In this they are just everywhere--this species just does this sort of thing. Typically crane flies are a rather rare sight, such as during the summer months, usually of an entirely different species. There's really not much to explain their abundance.
Q: im so frustrated because ive tryed everything and im obsessed with this book it would really help if someone could find a way for me to read it for free online. i cant find it at my library.please and thank you:)?
Shelly Crane is not giving the book away for free so any online site that has it, has stolen intellectual property.
Q: Hi, I just bought a 12 foot tommy jib crane, for my cannon x1-h1, I also bought a pan and tilt motor that you put on top of the camera mount at the end of the jib and then add your camera on top of your motor mount. This thing is really heavy now, I have to use 40 lbs for a counter weight. On top of that all the weight is making the jib slanted and shooting crooked. So I took off the motor head and just left the camera on there, and it help a bit, but its still crooked. Is there any fix for this other than buying a more expensive stronger jib crane? It shoots great and I know I can fix the video in post, but it just bothers me. Any help?

Q: Hey,My grandma has a big country estate with a river and its her birthday coming up. She's indicated she might like another peacock (we've had them before), but I'm thinking of branching out into other birds. We tried Lady Amerhursts pheasants, but one of the dogs knocked over their cage before they were properly acclimatised and they disappeared. So, does anyone know if its possible to get storks or cranes or other big waterbirds to keep as domestics? They'd be free ranging on the estate and the river, so need to be smart about foxes and mink (ie roost in trees or go into a house). We've kept geese and ducks successfully on our river like this, so does anyone have any ideas?Or should we try again with pretty pheasants?
Depends on where you live ? Stick to Ornamental Pheasants or Ducks,Storks and Cranes, need to be penned in at night because you will have to pinion them to prevent them flying. Try some Golden Pheasants for a try ,Lady Amherst are becoming a rare commodity and are quite expensive,if you have Foxes and Mink, then no matter what you get you will have problems these two predators.
Q: how do you win at the crane game?
im the master of the crane game. You gotta scope out the animal first! If it looks heavy then dont even bother. Whenever you grab hold of something its gonna pull it up and shake when it hits the top right? Thats why you go for something close to the hole it drops in. They have one where I work so I lock the wheels, grab the animal and pull the whole machine forward so that it just falls in the hole lol.
Q: Ok so I am now on my laptop in my room, in my bed and I am bursting for the loo, like really bad. I knew before I went to bed there was a crane fly in the hall (outside my room), so I made sure I went to the loo before I went to bed. But me being me I need it again but i have phobia of those dreaded crane flys. I went out and put the light on making sure 2 close the bedroom door, and then it started to fly towards me so I ran back to my room. I need help cause I don't know what to do?I am petrified of them. My fiance would normally move it for me but he is on night shift tonight. The last time this happend I stayed up all night and went to the loo at 7 am when my daughter got up, I don't want to do that again considering it is only 1:44 am over here
No dude, youre confusing two different species. Daddy long legs- or Harvestmen, as they're known in the UK- are the ones with powerful venom, but fangs too short to bite a human being. Crane flies, which look kind of like a flying daddy long legs, are a species that feed one nectar only. They are not carnivorous, and they don't have fangs, or a stinger, or any other means to defend themselves. The females have a tool on their abdomens for depositing eggs. It looks kind of like a stinger, but it is not one, and can do no harm at all.Daddy long legs-spiders can not fly. Crane flies don't even live long enough to eat. Most of the species of crane flies live long enough to mate, and nothing more. Theres is no reason to fear either species. Oh, and they don't eat mosquitos. That's a myth.
