Q: I'm 20 years old, and almost two years ago, I worked in construction for 6 months. It wasn't house construction or road construction, though. the company I was with was building a landfill and after the excavators dug out a large enough area and the bulldozers graded it, I and the other labourers were responsible for laying out filter cloth and other various jobs across the area.however, I would like to get a job as a laborer like those guys that work on the roads. Not buildings or the ones that use power tools and all that. How would I go about doing this? It's already August and logically, they'd have done their hiring for the season but is there any way I'd still be able to land a job? when I did work in this industry, it was in September and they were far behind schedule. Plus, I got the job because of my dad. This time, I wouldn't have that luxery.
Best thing to do... Go to the foreman's trailer or find the guy wearing the white hard hat and ask if they're hiring or if he knows anyone that is... That's how I got my job as a laborer during the summer when I was in high school.
Q: I am doing a survey on equipment repairs an would like a few participants if possible.1. what kind of landscaping equipment do you ownand how long have you had them?2. Warranties?3. Annual cost of repair/maintenance?4. Means of repair? ie. dealer, service center, sears....5. Ease and speed of service? 1-10 1: difficult, 10: easy
samsung mini excavator-5 years, ford tractor-12 years, equipment trailer-12 years, international 500 bulldozer-16 years, york rake-10 years, brush hog-10 years, yard roller-6 years, 1 yard broad cast seeder-4 years, skid steer and attachments-5 years, 1 ton dump truck 3 years,1 ton flat bed-6 years For get about the warranties nothing breaks down until the warranty is up. I spend about $60,000 a year on maintenance and repairs. I repair all my own stuff. That's why i repair my own stuff,it takes forever to get some shop to do it.
Q: I need to know what the compatible models are for the Volvo EC210B (its and excavator) I would like to know the compatible models from hyundai, JCB, and CATAlso the same for the Volvo G960 Thanks again
The word Compatible would indicate things that go together well, such as ham and eggs or trucks and trailers. I think the word in English that you're looking for is Comparable which would mean two different things that have similar characteristics. OK... English lesson over. NOW... If you're too lazy or too stupid to search for and find this information for yourself, why should anyone on this forum want to help you? Go do your own work.
Q: i want visit australia but i don't have friend or family there, anyone please help me...
you must be a skilled worker to move to australia you can not just go and look for work, you must apply to immigrate www.immi .au/skilled/general-s...
Q: After digging a 5x5x5 hole in my back yard, the excavators loaded up and took off. They claim that they quot;hit hard rock at 5 ft.quot;. I went in the excavated hole and found nothing different in the bottom, than the first 5 ft. I did find some small river rocks about the size of my shoe, but the backhoe they had in here could easily dig that up. Now they want an additional $750 for 12 inches! They needed to dig down to 6 Ft for a 5 ft pool. I understand this.Walks like a scam, smells like a scam, and looks like a scam. What are some opinions on this?
They ought to know the geology of the area unless they're from way outta town. Their packing up everything is a bit stupid as well. Now they have to float the excavator back to the job site again. Were they using a mini excavator? That MAY explain it, if they ran across a boulder. The machine wouldn't have the guts to move it. Personally, either they were unprepared, inexperienced or looking to pad the float fee.
Q: I' have read from the website below that it is possible to convert the diesel engine of cars, jeeps/jeepneys, and trucks to double tank system so that they may run on both diesel fuel and filtered used vegetable oil.
Of course they can, the only difference is the size of the engines, all functions are identical.
Q: I saw one that said quot;Don't get pushyquot;,quot;You push,you pay!quot;and simply, quot; DO NOT PUSH!quot;. Be specific in your answer besides quot;it can damage the dump bed,ectquot;
The locks could get bent or loose spilling the load onto your hood. The rear of the truck is actually weakest because it has that moving gate/door.
Q: My neighbors are using my driveway to unload equipment into their backyard. The reason they are using my driveway is because their house blocks all of their backyard from the road so they are using my driveway to unload excavator and backhoe to dig up their backyard. My mom drove down the driveway this morning and they workers had their truck parked in our driveway. He moved it right away but I still think this is not very polite.I don't mind them using my driveway but no one has asked or said anything to me. I was wondering what I should do?I was thinking about making the owners sign a contract saying that they know they dont own the property that they are using but can use it as long as I say so.
I think they should ask because if something gets damaged they will have to pay for it or if an injury occurs your homeowners will have to cover it they are trespassing unless its your city or town workers they need to ask.
Q: i already have reptile carpet but it smells! i want something cheap and something that doesnt smell bad. and yes, i know not to use sand. how about clay? or any other suggestions?
paper towel and you can wash the reptile carpet in water with NO SOAP. be careful of sand because of impaction
Q: I've read a few theories but does anyone know which one is more widely accepted. Pretty much every theory makes no sense. I know theories like the oasis and feasting theories were ruled out. Does anyone know of any others?I need to come up with the most accurate answer for ancient history. Can anyone help?!?!
Harlan, examining the causes for the Neolithic Revolution, suggests 6 principal reasons which can be summarised to 3 principal categories: Domestication for religious reasons Domestication by crowding and as a consequence of stress Domestication resulting from discovery, based upon the perceptions of food gatherers With regard to the first explanation, Ian Hodder, who directs the excavations at ?atalh?yük, has said that the earliest settled communities, and the Neolithic revolution they represent, actually preceded the development of agriculture.
