Q: Hello,My mother's co-worker accidentally dug up a turtle nest while using an excavator, and most of the eggs were crushed and broken, except for 6. My mom brought the 6 eggs to me, and I have no clue as to what I should do. Right now they are in a large flower pot or dirt, sitting about three inches under the surface. The flower pot is sitting beside a window that gets sun during the day. The eggs look like the first picture on this web page.: if it's possible to get sand, that would be better. Just keep them about 4-5 inches from the surface, and you can keep them in the sun all day (as they would be in the wild). Their mom doesn't look after them at all anyways. Not sure what the dimpling could be a sign of, but it is normal.

Since then the soil has been settling down to the point now I can see the top of the tar on the foundation. How long does this continue? It seems to have slowed down this past year, but it has messed up my plans of planting around my house.
