Q: Neat idea. No risk of theft, tampering, or weather damage.
Absolutely... Indoor gardening is gaining popularity quickly in urban areas. I live in an apartment (around 750 sq feet, 2 level, north facing (no sun really).. I grow 6 of each, tomatoes, basil, beans, peppers (jalepeno this time) and 2 brussels sprouts.. I think that this season I am going to push it a step further and try to put a small fruit tree in the grow area too. All you need is light, water, and the correct temperature/humidty.. more often than not, if the house/apartment is comfortable for you, it will also be for your plants... but yea, if you want to start an indoor garden, email me and I will tell you what you need to get started! Also, there are ways around the lack of sunny spots, and pests.. you just have to be willing to invest a little time and money.
Q: Who from PS are YOU most likely to stalk home?Suggested Category Home Garden gt; Garden Landscape
not you.
Q: What are some good HOME IMPROVEMENT and/or INTERIOR DESIGN magazines in the Bay area and/or North America? I prefer high class to middle class magazines~~I am doing this project for my marketing class... I live in So Cal and I'm not so sure about anything quot;home improvement.quot; Hope you all can help me out~ Thank you!!! :)
I okorder .
Q: Fairly priced home and garden decor websites?
you okorder / they have pretty fair prices for home decor
Q: WHat are your plans for the spring, Vacation, Gardening, buying a new home? Whats your agenda?
I have a new home, but it needs Gardens and Flowers and Fountains, and Trees and a Pond and a Patio and Planters and..............(anyone here do landscape design??) :) my poor husband.......
Q: my garden is not to big so plant that dont consume much space will do
It really depends on what vegetables you like the most. What is important to me might be different than what's important to you. It all depends on your taste. Make a list of what vegetables you like and eat the most. Once you have populated the list with your favorite vegetables, circle the ones you want to grow the most. Once you have those then you can figure out what to grow in your space. If space is at a premium look for compact versions of your favorite vegetables, or vegetables that can be grown vertically ( up a trellis). This saves space because the plants grow up instead of on the ground. Many vegetables can be grown in containers, too. These are tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, lettuces, peppers, etc. To save room, if you like tomatoes try 'Patio' or 'Better Bush' - cucumbers try 'Spacemaster' or 'Bush Champion'. The most popular vegetables grown in most home gardens are tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash, eggplant, green beans, peppers, carrots and greens ( lettuce, arugula, spinach, etc).
Q: I want to get my mom an indoor herb garden for Christmas...which would be the best one to get through the winter? Thanks! :)
Get one with the bigggest pots you can find. Those tiny pots are cute but herbs will quickly outgrow them. The type where the container makes a greenhouse are nice.
Q: I want to know who has Home gardens in US. Where can I get the same?
You question is somewhat confusing, when you say get the same do you mean you want to buy fresh produce or you want to grow fresh produce in your own garden. If you want to make your own garden this link will provide you will instruction and photos.
Q: Just wondering what happen to the property itself. I understand 25 rooms were unused... was the mansion salvagable and what does it look like today?
Well, the mom died, and the girl ended up going to some mental home. The mansion itself is torn down now. I don't think they built anything new there yet. Those 2 are a good example of what happens when you're a kennedy too long.
Q: I live in Philadelphia and I am growing - tomatoesgreen beans pepperscucumbersAny helpful tips???Thanks ; )
yes, start early end of may, give your tomatoes, green beans, and peppers, cukes time to grow, make sure your soil is good, ph, add fertilizer, spray or dust for bugs, adding a fence around your plants will protect your vegs, water if nessessary, full sun, and time,
