- Q:I'm talking about the movie, for those of you who have seen it. If you have seen it, you can probably recall one of the final scenes where head Gamemaker Seneca Crane is being walked to his death by two Peacekeepers. I really want a picture of this! Why? Because the Peacekeeper on the right is my dad! I think it would be awesome if I could get him a picture of this since he is so proud of it! So if anyone knows where I can find a clip of this scene, or knows where I could get a picture, could you please tell me? I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!
- I don't think it would be out there yet, as the movie just came out. I would try searching Seneca Crane and then your dad's name. You also might be able to find it on YouTube. It's really cool that your dad was in the movie!! Good luck finding the picture!
- Q:I am currently on a vacation and our house is on a bay. It is 1 am here and I couldn't sleep because I had a personal issue on my mind. I walked out and I sat on the planks, letting my feet dangle in the water and prayed, towards the end, I was yelling at God to for once answer me. After I finished, I looked up and in the moonlight I could see a crane or heron in the water 20 feet from me, looking at me. I didn't notice it before. Does it have any spiritual meaning? I'm Christian if that helps. And remarks that are not the answer I'm looking for, please just don't bother.
- The Crane is considered a messenger of God, or a symbol of communion with God, or Light Beings. It represents entering higher states of consciousness. In China, it represents immortality, long life and happiness. In Ancient Greece and Rome, the Crane was sacred to Apollo and was a herald of spring. In Christianity, it represents goodness, loyalty, good order. The mysterious Ainu people of Japan perform a ritual crane dance as do the people of Korea. The crane is often seen in traditional Japanese art. The Stork is also a solar bird, and is a destroyer of reptiles. It is associated with creation and birth and the coming of spring. In China, it also represents longevity and happiness. In Christianity, it represents chastity, purity, and piety. Seeing a stork in a place where they are rare, or dreaming of one is considered a good omen. The Heron is another solar bird. In China and Japan, the white Heron represents Light while the crow represents darkness and together represent yin-yang. It represents regeneration and rebirth. In parts of Africa, the Heron represents communication with God. All three of these birds represent, in one way or another, solar energy or light. They are all water birds so also represent going with the flow of life. Because all of these birds eat, among other things, snakes, frogs, and other reptiles that often represent evil or Satan, they also represent the constant struggle between good and evil.
- Q:I need to know exactly how much weight they can lift also how much do they weight?how long is thier life-time?in what temprature they can work?does mosture do any harm to them?for installation , do they need foundation?the exact height and width?
- You need to be more specific. The lifting capacities for container cranes varies significantly, as does any other crane. Some of the variation is based purely on load (horsepower) availability; some is based on speed (rpm) for lift/drop portions of the cycle. Cranes like these operate year-round, at ports all over the world. Some ports have average ambient temperatures in the range of 45 C, with highs up to 60 C. Others can be as low an average as 10 C, with a low peak as much as -50 C. Moisture will, over the long haul, harm them - they're metal constructs, and thus are prone to oxidation. Using corrosion-resistant materials and/or coatings will certainly prolong their usable lifespan. The crane drives (electric motors and power electronics) are also susceptible to moisture and other contaminants. All true dockside cranes require some sort of permanent foundation; it's usually part of the pier construction itself. However, there are portable cranes that operate without one. There is also more than one crane manufacturer out there - all will have their trade secrets that will make each look a little different than the rest. It will generally also reflect in their operation parameters, and in their expected life cycle.
- Q:how do i make the paper crane from prison break?
- The okorder /, you have to go to Contents and then choose your animal or figure, then go to Diagrams, at this point a Pdf-file will open, which you can easily save. I saved all of them and then followed his instructions step-by step...it's not easy but it's a lot of fun. If you want to know more about this art you can just tipp the word origami on Google and you'll find lots of tutorials that will help you. I googled myself and I found the above-mentioned site one of the best! Lots of luck and have fun!!
- Q:Absolutely bs. I hope a crane falls on ALL these effin construction workers and their families and the building executives' heads. Let THEM have family members die or get hurt from these accidents - then they will get what's coming to them. They should all burn in hell. Total greed total total greed. They will pay
- It's not really the construction workers fault. It's the city inspectors!! They take short cuts, sign off on inspections that never happened, all because of greed! Then they can say they inspected them and go home early. Unfortunately it's the innocent residents of these buildings and the construction workers that die while they are at home all snug in their beds!!! That first crane accident should have taught them all a lesson, but evidently it did not. I think whoever was in charge of inspecting that crane should be arrested for manslaughter. The first guy got in trouble, I'm not sure to what extent but it obviously didn't make an impression on the rest of those lazy a**holes!
- Q:I just wonder they use cranes at such heights, how do they carry the cranes at such height? Helicopter or something? This is a picture of what I'm talking
- The cranes are jack-up cranes. They have their own self-contained jacks. As one floor is completed, they jack up to the next level. The cranes are on top of the buildings. They are designed by structural and mechanical engineers to loift a given weight.
- Q:How high the tower crane needs to be installed with the wall pole. How is it stipulated in the national standard?
- The independent height of the tower crane is determined by the manufacturer's manual. The independent height of the tower cranes of different manufacturers and different types is different. The installation of the tower crane needs to be installed with a wall rod. The specifications are stipulated in the instruction. The national standard requires the instruction of the manufacturer's manual.
- Q:i have a 100 ton american crawler crane. how do i calculate the psf, for this equipment.
- Not sure what you are asking exactly... Are you saying that you have a crane with a capacity of 100 tons and you want to know the pressure on the soil where the crane is positioned? In this case, you take the capacity (in pounds) plus the weight of the crane (in pounds) then divide their sum by the area of the tracks on the crane (in square feet). This will result in pounds per square foot or psf as you wrote above. These are example estimates, they may not be anywhere near the correct answer, this is simply how to do the calculation. Assumed Capacity 100 ton = 200,000 lbs. Assumed Weight 105 ton = 210,000 lbs. Assumed Area of Track = 200 square feet Note: 1 U.S. ton = 2,000 pounds = 2,000 lbs. 410,000 lbs / 200 square feet = 2,050 psf There's a start, now you just need to find out how much it actually weighs and how long and wide the tracks are to get the area of the track on the ground. I hope that answers the question you were asking.
- Q:It got me thinking.
- I have not seen the movie, but I think I saw what you're talking about on a preview. I would think that the safeties involved in the control system for a crane would make it highly unlikely to happen. There is no absolute assurance, only probabilities or likelihoods. You just hope that you have enough failsafes in the system so if one part of the system fails, the others will take over, or shut the whole thing down properly.
- Q:I like cranes like the ones at restaurants and Walmart and things. I decided I want one for myself, just in a smaller size. Basically I want to put in things like plush and then grab them. Most will be under 7, though some might be larger.
