Q: My leo laid eggs in the water dish. 3 days later i read that it would kill them and filled the dish with vermiculite. did the eggs die before i filled it with vermiculite, or do they still have a chance?
You need a incubator or they won't stand a chance.
Q: Ok.I live in Minnesota. There‘s a pond in my back yard and there are about 50 red-eared slider turtles there. One laid eggs in my yard and I pulled them out of the ground because birds were digging them up and eating them. Does anyone know what I can do to make these things hatch?
buy an incubator or make one(idont know how, you should look it up online) and keep the eggs in it at the breeder perfered temp.and watch them. when they hatch you should let them back into the pond if you dont plan on keeping them. Look up red eared slider breeder websites and email or call them and ask them and tell them about your predicament. they can help you the most.(also if the eggs are yellow they are infertle and dont roll the eggs it can kill the baby inside.and dont touch them with your hands because ive heard it can also kill the baby but im not sure)
Q: Can you put vermiculite in the fish tank?
Vermiculite has been widely used in construction, metallurgy, petroleum, shipbuilding, environmental protection, insulation, heat insulation, insulation, energy saving and other fields.
Q: Wanting to know everything to buy and if any 1 has some incubators for sale ill buy 1 using my PayPal let me know
Incubator, males and females, plastic container with spagnum moss in it, vermiculite, a cup
Q: What is the difference between vermiculite and perlite?
Theur sis chunks, rly boi, sorda vermiculite.
Q: Question: How does intraspecific competition affect the growth of individuals in a population?1) what would be the manipulated and responding variable?2) using these materials what kind of procedure could you create to test out the question stated aboveMaterials:Seeds(basil, raddish, grass, lettuce)vermiculite or potting soilflower potsscissorsrulerbalance
Intraspecific Competition Intraspecific competition is a particular form of competition in which members of the same species vie for the same resource in an ecosystem (e.g. food, light, nutrients, space). This can be contrasted with interspecific competition, in which different species compete. For example, two trees of the same species growing close together will compete for light, water and nutrients in the soil. Getting less resources, they will perform more poorly than if they grew by themselves (for example lowered growth rates and fewer seed output). Trees have therefore adapted to grow taller or develop larger root systems through natural selection. Grasshoppers provide an animal example. By eating grass, individual grasshoppers deprive their fellow conspecifics of food. This is an example of exploitation competition, which means that the grasshoppers do not interact directly with each other, but have a negative effect on others' growth and reproduction by their effect on a resource (in this case, grass). Here you can plant the seeds and check their growth using a ruler. You can find that they have intraspecific Competition among themselves.
Q: How much should the ratio of soil vermiculite to perlite be?
The cake, put the pelvic floor relatively okay ~ ~ to let the seedlings have a process of adaptation ~ ~ ~ I now add more perlite. Vermiculite feels the only use now is probably: when you plant seeds, sprinkle a thin layer over the surface... Very few in the soil.. It feels less breathable ~ as I just how to perlite
Q: I have vermiculite and perlite could i combine either of those with the soil?Think its only added to retain moisture, therefore vermiculte 50% with soil 50% what do you think?Does that mean i won't have the moss look? (algae instead)can i get moss that grows rocks at the local pond/fountain? is that the same moss?
You really need to do nothing. Just don't disturb the material any further. The pricing is a little high in price, but could be in line depending on where you live. You can tell your wife, the mold was a bigger risk than any asbestos exposure. The mold can impact you immediately where any asbestos exposure takes 10-40 years. She is more likely to get hit by lightning than this exposure causing any problem.
Q: I put a bunch of vermiculite (that is probably spelled wrong.) in a pot and then watered it down until the water was as deep as the vermiculite, then dipped the stems of the clippings in some root growth powder and stuck the stems in the vermiculite, I don‘t think the leaves were touching the wet vermiculite, but after a little over a weak the clippings were basicly reduced to slime. what went wrong?? was there to much water for them??? Was the vermiculite to much for the leaves?? I know that their leaves are very sensitive to water on them, but I am pretty sure they weren‘t touching the vermiculite/water mix. :S
I certainly have had the finest outcomes utilising an African Violet pot. in the previous I transplanted mine to those pots I had a similar problem. AV pots are available 2 products. there's a ceramic pot and a water reservoir. The water is going contained in the bottom area and the plant is contained in the pot on acceptable. It keeps the plant gently moist. I pot mine in Miracle Gro potting soil. it is been flowering progressively for about 18 months now. the hot blooms have diminished yet I certainly have a minimum of three new buds popping out. African Violet pots are accessible at backyard centers and, often times, at Wal Mart. I shop it in a west dealing with window and our residing house is amazingly cool.
Q: I only have regular potting soil (of pretty good quality). I don‘t have any vermiculite or sand or transplant medium. Will my cuttings take root in normal potting soil? How about if I add those little white granules that hold water? Is there anything else I can do/add to make the soil cutting-friendly?Thanks! :)
just keep the soil loose. Don't press in down in the pot. After inserting your cutting, cover the pot fully with plastic. This will keep the soil consistently moist so that you don't have to check it everyday. If the cutting has leaves you may want to cover those too to prevent them from wilting.
