Q: Do you have any certificates?

Q: What is counter weight? How kinds?
A: Counter weight is for balance the suspension mechanism. There are 2 kinds of counter weight, one is made by iron, the other is by concrete.
Q: Do you have any other types of suspended platform?

- Usually it is the rigger who attaches the lifting gear not the crane operator who needs to know about centriods and even then the real trick is getting the slings or other lifting devices in the exact place. That tends to be a bit of trial and error unless the lifting points are clearly marked.

- I don't think there is a particular direction unless prevailing winds are a factor. Here in Las Vegas, cranes, when idle don't seem to have a pattern. At least from what I have seen.
- Q: Today, my boyfriend surprised me with an origami bird he'd made for me the night before, just for no reason. He told me he'd tried to make a crane but it got to be to complicated. I thought an was an incredibly sweet gesture, and I thanked him thoroughly. I was wondering if it would be nice to give him an origami something back? I found a really easy video on how to make cranes and I made one, but I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to show him up, I just want to show my gratitude. - Q: These cranes always stay higher than the construction process but I have never seen how they are extended to stay above all of it. They come in two formats, free standing and those attached to the building. The possibilities that I thought of was that maybe they use another crane to lift the housing and the horisontal arm to put in more modules into the vertical part; or that they extend it by some way by putting modules in at the top or bottom and that the crane has some self-lifting mechanism to accommodate the insertion of more modules. However, I have never seen this being done, nor does the construction of these cranes point to its ability to do so. The only other possibility that I could think of was that the crane is set up at the outset to be higher than the completed height of the building, hence there is no need to extend it but this does not explain how they do it for very high buildings where the crane is attached to the building and seems to grow higher with the building.
- The cranes are self erecting. The cranes tower is raised in sections. The lowest section is jacked up to the correct height and then a new section inserted and so on.
