- Q: i am making a wired crane robot to pick and drop a wooden block of about 5*5*10cm dimension. I would like to know wat r the different possible lifting mechanisms by which i can lift the wooden block.Ideas other than the normal claw shaped lifters
- There are different attachments that you can put on the end of your crane to pick up this block. You can make a set of forks (like a forklift) that would slide under the block (block would have to be elevated on a skid). You can pick up this block with a suction cup. You can also pick up the block by clamping the sides of the block by replicating a scissor type mechanism.

- Good question. Apart from the aspect of training, if you use it as a stance like in The Karate Kid in a real street fight or in a pub, it is comically useless.
