Q: I am setting up my lights and half of the lights on the strand work, and the half doesnt't, whats up with that? and is there anything i can do fix it without buying a new one?: Many of the newer strands of 50 or more lights are set on 2 different circuits in the string... Look at the plugs at the end, one of them will have a small sliding piece on it, slide it open and you will find 2 small fuses inside... look at the fuses carefully if either looks smoky inside or has a char mark replace it... If that doesn't fix the lights you need to go through the bulbs in the secion that's not light one by one ... Checking for bulb wires misaligned and damaged, missing or blown bulbs... The easiest way to do this is to plug in the strand of lights, start at an end of the dark section pull each bulb (one by one) checking the wires and the bulb pull a working bulb out of the light section and replace with the bulb from the dark section if the light section lights that wasn't the problem bulb.... Stick the bulb from the light section into the dark section mpty hole and move on to the next one... Repeat until you find the problem... Replace that bulb and bboth sides of the straind are good... (It's a process of elimination so it will take some time :( )

Like if you are driving your car 60 km/hr with the headlights on, the lights in your headlights aren't moving the speed of light (3.0x10^8 m/sec) plus the 60 km/hr your driving, they are just moving the speed of light.

Q: My question is if people are quot;doing itquot; by candle light does that count as doing in with the Lights On or Lights off.: NO, that is lights off. That is considered romantic GLOW. As long as you don't over do it with the candle GLOW. a couple of candles is very romantic, but too many would be considered a light situation. and usually the candles are not right next to you, so they just put off a nice surrounding GLOW

Q: My lights work only half way on my tree, I have tried to replace the next in line, it does nothing, any ideas?....I have also replaced lights which are in the unlit part with ones that work, the lights seem fine.: Some light strings are wired so that if 1 light goes out the rest will stay lit,making it easier to find a burned out bulb. Some are still wired so that if 1 bulb goes out,the entire string goes out and you will have to find and replace the bulb that went out. However since all the lights are out,but new bulbs work,it is possible that all the filiments inside the bulbs have either burned out or the light string has been dropped at some point and the filiments were broken. You can get light testers that use a 9 volt battery to check lights and there are testers that check several things including the fuse if you light string has one. You can get them almost any where that sell Xmas decorations.

Q: If you're traveling in a vehicle that is moving at the speed of light, what happens when you turn on the headlights?: Basically, the light will be traveling at the same speed as you. Therefore, it will not reach an observers eyes before the vehicle does straight on. In this situation, an observer would not be able to see you until you hit them or passed them. From the side, observers would be able to see the lights turn on, although at a slightly delayed time.
