Q: I was wondering if i could use portable working lights as a heat light for a plant.: You have to be careful about placement, but a 500 watt quartz light will produce the same heat as a 500 watt portable heater. Electricity produces 3.4 btu's per watt. Lights, heaters, tv toaster, cell phone charger, all produce 3.4 btu's per watt.

Q: Alright, so earlier this year I bought a set of photography lighting right.. And they are great. But you know how photography lights light kinda white-ish and normal lights (in my opinion) light orangey-ish???? Please tell me you get what I mean.. Please help: You can get just about any shade you want out of lights... either by changing bulbs or adding filters (called gels) to the light. walmart is not a real photo store... you probably have incandescent bulbs in the wally world set. If you put the same bulbs in all your lights, you won't have this problem. Mixed light sources (such as florescent mixed with incandescent) are the worst way to do things, and the hardest to fix. By using the same bulbs in all your lights, you can set your camera white balance and forget it.

You can do all of it with one bulb (mercury vapor bulb) or use different bulbs for different aspects. There is not a 'perfect' answer. A common answer is to... - Use a UVB bulb for lighting and UVB. Position it about 12 over the ground and use a timer to give it about 12 hours of daylight. - Use a ceramic heat emitter for heating. - Some people add a basking bulb to create a hot zone and add extra light and color.

Q: like lights that light up your tank, ect.: Certain fish prefer shadier tanks than others. As long as you provide adequate hiding places (like with plants/caves/etc) everyone should be happy, but I recommend doing research on whatever kind of fish you have.

Q: my 2004 dodge ram 1500 3rd brake light does not work...Ck all fuses.ok...Tail lights work fine...Could it be the brake light switch ?: The brake lights and taillights are the same bulb but have two filaments, IF the brake lights at the rear are working the third brake light bulb is burned out. If the brake lights and third brake light are not working it's possible the brake light switch is bad or needs adjustment or you have wiring issues.

Q: I am adding four lights to my laundry room. I have one light already, which is at the far end of the room. I would like to put the switch at the entrance to the room and add four more lights to the existing light. But the power is at the END of the room, coming through the existing light, which means it would run from that light, through the four added lights and finally to the switch. How do I make the switch control the power? Thanks.: the lights are only at about 50% brightness you have a wiring mistake somewhere. That means you have two lights in series. To check, if you unscrew one bulb, the other should go off, which is not correct. The neutrals should all be tied together, as a check. Hot wire should connect to the incoming power, then to one side of the switch, and from the other side of the switch to the 4 hots of the 4 lights, all in parallel. Where you may get confused is the wire to the switch. This would be a 2 conductor cable (plus ground) with a white and a black wire. But both wires are actually hot wires, the white is NOT a neutral in this case. You should mark the white wire with a black or red marker on each end. .

I basically have to look down or close my eyes.: It dosn't really matter what color eyes, but your personal eyes in perticular. My eyes are very sensitive to light and they are light blue.
