I would say not as far as harming the betta since night lights put off very low light. When the sun comes up the night light will turn off, so the betta will have natural light throughout the day and a little while of low natural light until nightfall. If this green night light puts out some high intense light I would return it for a regular light so you have the control over when it is turned on and off. Personally I think that would be a clever night light and a very pretty one for the betta as it shouldn't be very intense at all. :) Have a good day!
