- Well the size is really up to you, I would probably keep it in a neat rectangle or square though, only as wide as the door is, but that's hardly a requirement. What kind of tile is it though, cause the installation will vary greatly depending on that. Need a bit more info =)

- Go to a store that sells flooring pick out what you like then ask them for advice. You do not have to purchase that day so tell them you need to save money and may have to do the job yourself. They should be able to tell you on the floor you pick out if you can install that type or if you need to pick out something more user friendly

- You don t say what size tile it is and what your going over as far as a substrate. It makes a difference. Since I familiar with the coverage in s/f and your post suggests you came from the states I ll use a s/f format and some generalizations. Assuming you have a larger tile you should be using a larger notched trowel.1/4x3/8 but you may want to use a larger 1/2x1/2. I ll go off of a 1/4x3/8 trowel. A standard 50# bag of thin set will cover an area of 60/70 s/f using a 1/4x3/8 trowel. Splitting the difference and using 65 s/f per bag, divide 65 into the 290 s/f you have. Or 4.46 bags. So you ll need 5 , 50# bags of thin set using a 1/4x3/8 trowel. If your using a different size trowel , all bags have a coversion chart on the back to figure your coverage. - Trying to color match old tiles may be impossible. Look for tile stores in the yellow pages. The tile stores are a lot more likely to have something that will match or come close than a Home Depot or Lowes.

- Q: We want to put the same sticky tile over the existing tile just stagger them. Will that be unstable or should we remove the old ones...which seems like work lol
- As long as the existing tile is not cracked, has missing chips, free from grease and dirt and has been vacuumed you won't have a problem putting new tile over it. Also you want to make sure the existing tile is not loose in spots. Yeah, a few new tiles might lose their grip and come up.....in about forty years. We did the same in 1974. I am now in the process of a remodel and a few of them came loose. Must have been a bad batch of tiles! Lol. You'll be fine.
- Q: I just finished my bathroom but when i used the oil based kilz there was a little spray back that landed on the tile floor.
- Depending on the type of tile you might be able to use a sharp knife (exacto or paring knife) and gently remove the spots. If you have any kind of ceramic tile that would work (in my experience) except perhaps on the grouted areas. If you have grout and the Kilz is in/on the grout you might have to actually scrape some of the grout off and then reseal the grout. Good luck. It's laborious work but it should work. If you have linoleum tile I wouldn't do that because it might remove the finish. The next time you go to the paint dept. at the store ask them how to do it if you haven't solved the problem
