- Q: I'm buying my first motorcycle soon. I'm going to wear a full-face helmet. My question is, will a windshield on the bike do anything for me? The majority of my riding will be at 45 mph or less. Occasional highway at 60-65 mph, but only for 3-4 miles at a time. Thanks!
- On a hot compressor pipe no: It would melt and is not capable of withstanding the pulsating pressure. If you are repairing the pipes after the regulating valve then possibly.
- Q: As shown in Figure six, the angle of the edge distance 71mm, diagonal 80mm, about 34mm high; and its connection of the pipe joint exposed a small section, measured its outer diameter is 57mm; through these parameters can see the pipe joint screw size is how much? Or see the specifications of the hose.To take something in this, it is not convenient to disassemble temporarily, that can check through standard size, I do not know the check which standard, hose and pipe joint standards are many, I do not call up this kind... Please explain to the master, this call what, check what standard, how to check, through the above parameters can get out what size, etc., thank you very much!! PS: the key is size. Now you're going to do the connection
- Two. Metric general threads1. metric screw thread with a capital M, tooth type angle 2 degrees =60 (alpha tooth type half angle);2. metric ordinary thread by pitch, coarse teeth, ordinary thread and fine teeth, two kinds of ordinary thread;2.1. coarse tooth ordinary thread mark generally does not indicate the pitch, such as M20 means coarse thread; fine tooth thread mark must indicate the pitch, such as M30 * 1.5 for fine tooth thread, in which pitch is 1.5.2.2. common thread is used for the connection and fastening between the mechanical parts, and the general thread connection is mainly made of coarse thread. The thread strength of the fine tooth thread is slightly higher than that of the same nominal diameter, and the self-locking performance is better.Mark 3. metric screw thread: M20-6H, M20 * 1.5LH-6g-40, where M represents a common thread metric, 20 nominal diameter thread is 20mm, 1.5 pitch, LH said, 6G 6H left, said thread precision grade, precision grade of internal thread uppercase, lowercase precision grade of said external thread, 40 screwing length.
- Q: My private violin tescher once told me that a violinist once was tuning his violin with the peggs and the E string popped off and cut his eye. Then since there was little medical technology he later died. I know that the E string is very skinny and can cut through things very easily but I do not know if it was something she told me to scare me so i would not turn my peggs and risk popping my string off. I would love to know if theis statement is true or false because everytime i turn m y peggs i am frightened. Thanks for youre help.Love Ya!Alicia
- Use a 1/2 sharkbite coupling. It will fit the copper and pb with no compression or soldering. It simply slides onto the pipe and that is it, just make sure you have it all the way on the pipe. You will likely have to ream the inside of the copper to remove that ridge.burr inside so it will slide over the inside stiffener in the sharkbite fitting. I am not sure if some of the hardware stores will have them but a plumbing supply should. You can also buy a small orange plastic release fitting to remove the coupling or remove one piece of pipe from the coupling for future work. It will cost around $5.00 but it is well worth it, way simple and easy. Best of luck.
- Q: Where do people park at the fire hydrant factory?
- It isn't called extended boot camp it is call OSUT. (16 weeks) You learn to follow orders, dress properly, be a good soldier, etc. Teach you to shoot properly, basic patrol and drills, and we are better because we are better funded.
- Q: Designing equipment for shipment to China and they request metric pipe sizes. Where can you get metric pipe and fittings in the US?
- I would go with the barbed/crimped sleeve connection system rather than the SharkBite (which is a glorified Swagelock type system normally used for tubing applications). My experience with Swagelock is that they work well when installed correctly, but can be very finicky to get leak-free (tubing has to seat all the way into the fitting; ferrule must fit squarely on the tubing; must thread the nut on correctly the first time and then neither over- nor under-tighten). Also, while a Swagelock fitting body and nut are reusable, the ferrule is a throw-away item you must replace. Though I've not used SharkBite, I have the same concerns since the design looks the same. The barb/crimp looks simpler/easier to get right. In either case, the most reliable method for installation is to have only dedicated runs and to NOT install any fittings in walls (for example, don't tee off of a line in a wall to feed two sinks). Every mechanical connection is a potential leak spot. The beauty of PEX is that you can run continuous lengths from source to destination, gently bending it as needed. You can't do this with iron, copper or rigid plastic. I've seen photos of PEX installations with loads of couplings and elbows in the wallsthis is lousy workmanship that destroys a lot of the inherent advantages of PEX. As the first responder noted, follow the manufacturer's instructions/recommendations wherever possible. Plumbing errors can lead to very costly damage, and most manufacturers are interested in making sure your use of their products is a successful one. Good luck.
- Q: What's the difference between pipe repair device and clamp type flexible pipe joint?
- Two kinds of pipe fittings can not be said which is easy to use, in the right place to use.Stainless steel pipeline repair device, plate repair device mainly made of stainless steel 201, applicable to low-pressure pipelines,
- Q: Our sub-division recently added speed bumps to prevent speeding traffic. The ISD is now saying they will not allow their buses to pick up the kids. There will be one pick up at the front of the sub-division, which for some would be a 15 min walk. This will create a large group of kids congregating and also there are no sidewalks leading to the point where they want them to meet. What do you all think?
- the pipe to the shower to crack You would have to be able to deal with the piping material. There are fittings called 'sharkbite' that might make it easier, if it isn't galvanized piping. knob that turns it on/off and hot/cold is what broke off. You can probably get a replacement, but you'll need to know who the manufacturer is. Maybe a kindly soul at a hardware store can help you out. If you want it fixed fast - call a plumber. Otherwise you may be in for a 'learning experience' and it may take some time. I'm a plumber and when my car breaks, I go to an auto mechanic. I could probably fix most things myself, but they're better at it than I am.
- Q: I have a 99 Dodge Neon and I bought it used. I don't think the alarm in it is factory.I went to start it after it sat for a while and the alarm started going off, and the car wouldn't start. Wouldn't even try.The only way to make the alarm stop was to unplug the speaker with the alarm. The battery eventually died but a few days ago I went checking around.I found a small switch and a small black button wayy underneath my dash on the left had side close to the pedals. Is this the alarm buttons? Also, if it's not the button to disable the alarm, how would I go about removing it from the car so I can start it again? Thanks
- It depends where you are. Prices are different all over the world. Find one or two scrap metal dealers in your local area (use google, or the yellow pages telephone directory) and get their prices.
- Q: If you had a lightning rod that was six meteres thick at the top and it tapered down to thousands of powerlines at the other end ,thousands of kilometers away, could you harness and use the power of energy. The first section that is six meteres thick runs for 300 kilometers where in then tapers down to five metres thick. After another 700 kilometers the five feet thickness tapers down to four metres thick. After another 1000 kilometers the four feet thickness tapers down to three metres. After another 500 kilometers the three meteres tapers down to 100 ,one metre thickness. After another 500 kilometres the 100,one metre thickness tapers down to one foot thickness. This process continues until it finaly reaches 10,000 normal power lines.Would metal this thick hold enough electricty and conduct it long enough to use at the other end.Thousands of kilometres away.Would most of the energy be lost on the way.If 50,000,000 volts hit the rod at the start. How much energy would be left at the end.
- you can use teflon tape or 5 rector seal around the threads. (5 works better and will make it easier to thread as it will lube the threads also). Be carefull using a metal wrench as you can crush the fittings. Plastic pipe fittings don't require alot of tighting. Best way to tighten, is to tighten the fitting, snug. then back off a little bit and snug it up some more.
