Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. It is widely used in cold and hot water supply, heating supply, fire protection, medicinal gas, industrial petroleum pipeline system etc.

Q: The other day I was pulled over for speeding. The ticket said I was going 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. I am sure I wasn't going nearly that fast and the officer didn't use any sort of radar technology to determine my speed but rather paced it on a very hilly, curvy road. I've read that when officers pace a car on a road like this it is likely to be more inaccurate. Q: At least in Washington State, we are required to get new licence plates for our vehicles every so many years. What are the logical reasons for this?: If you are talking about the water line that feeds the refrigerator, I wouldn't suggest changing it to copper, simply because the plastic hose is more flexible and won't crack if bent in the same place repeatedly. If you are set on making the change, make sure that you can do so without pinching or kinking the copper line (this includes when you push your fridge back into place). The copper fittings are similar to the plastic, as both plastic and copper line make use of compression type fittings. Make sure to get the same size pipe as the old hose with the proper fittings. You can get these by asking for assistance at most hardware stores. You will need a reaming tool to make sure the copper pipe flares at the end and is smooth. This may also be obtained at most hardware stores. Then cut to the pipe to the proper length, make sure you have smoothed and flared both ends of your pipe, connect the pipe to the valve and the refrigerator, and make sure to tighten both fittings properly. Not very hard. Make sure to watch your fittings for a while to make sure you don't have any leaks before pushing your fridge back in place. If you are referring to a different pipe then I would also say good luck!

Q: when i turned on the emergency heat button on the thermostat my smoke detector started making sound and when turned back to regular heat the sound stopped and i could smell the burning smell ,can anybody please tell me the reason for this.: If its a new clock, its highly unlikely that it will 'decide' to go off or not. Chances are better that the time set is incorrectly (perhaps check AM vs. PM) or that the volume of the alarm is too low to hear and wake you up. From personal experience, I actually woke up once, turned off my alarm, only to fall asleep and forget the whole thing, which was pointed out to me by my annoyed roommate later that day.

Q: I also want to know if I can put some kind of 'tinting' that is metal based over the windows, and if I would need to ground the RV and put a lightning rod up. Perhaps double layered?: Being that rubber mulch costs a good amount more than organic mulch your going to want to do it right so it lasts. First spray the area with a weed killer, anything that contains glyphosate is good (round up basically). Get a quality weed fabric, newspaper NOT being quality. You can usually find 3 year, 5 year, and sometimes 20 year or life time weed barrier, get the best you can, this will save you time and money in the long run. You can lay the fabric over the sprayed area right away or wait until the grass has died, either way the chemicals will take care of it, but it is easier to wait until the grass has wilted. place a good 2 of rubber mulch over the fabric, and apply a pre-emergent to the area. A common product is Preen but there are better products out there. Apply preen in the spring and again mid summer every year. Doing that, you will be very weed free.
