Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. In any system when you make a change you have to look at pipe length, diameter, added pressure drop from things like valves and fittings. You have to be careful about valves because many are not full port valves. The type of valve can also be a consideration. The pressure drop in a full size globe valve even if it is fully open is much greater than a ball valve fully open. You also have to look at the pressure source. What happens to the pressure source when there is a change in flow rate or what happens to the flow rate when there is a change in the pressure source.

- Q: A friend of mine gave me a used Mac Pro he found. Everything works fine except it has one of those annoying cable locks clamped on the back. He said he took bolt cutters to the cable to try and shorten it, but the lock part and a few inches of cable remain. I tried pulling on it and twisting it, but nothing works. I can't see a brand name on it, but its a combination type.

- Ordinary rubber gaskets as long as meet the food grade requirements are also available. But the high temperature resistance performance is inferior to the silica gel gasket. The price of silica gel gasket is usually higher than that of ordinary rubber gasket
- Q: i just bought this suv and i new there were a few things that needed to be fixed. But i cant figure out why the power locks wont work right on the back passenger door and the back hatch they work fine but on both front doors you have to unlock them by hand and the back drivers side wont unlock at all dose anyone have any ideas on how i can figure out what the problem is?? your help is greatly appreciated
- The proper way to connect would be to use schedule 80 pipe and fittings, with blue or hot glue. When using threaded joints, Teflon tape is OK, but I also use a pipe joint compound( pipe dope). This will ensure that there are no leaks. You should also install a union somewhere close to this joint, that way, you can access into the pipe system, if you need to! Good luck to you!
- Q: Started at about 2am, the smoke alarm would go off for about 5 seconds, just to wake everyone up. Now, it went off again, same deal, about 5 seconds. I checked the furnace, it was off since midnight last night. I am not experiencing any signs or symptoms of CO poisoning. I check on my dog every 30 minutes or so, he is alert and have perfect coordination. What does it mean, usually the alarm last a lot longer when we bake. - Q: I want to produce date(palm fruit) paste industrially. The most important part in process is pitting. I want to know what procedures and machine being used to do this job.
- Is the leak under the tub, in the pipes or fittings between the pump and the pipes, requiring it to be drained and turned on it's side to fix? If so, the movements in doing that can certainly cause other fittings and seals to shift in position or be torqued to a condition that causes them to leak when its placed back down and refilled. If I were you, I would empty the tub and set it on end and go over every connection in the pipes carefully looking for evidence of cracking in the material in the joints, etc. You could try to test the pipes while the tub is on it's side, by using a plug on every output but one, and then a hose into one pipe, providing some water pressure in each segment of piping. If the leak is in the tub itself, and not the pipes or the pump under the tub, you can do the same effort, looking closely and carefully for leaks, patching the ones you see. then lift the tub up onto some concrete blocks that allow you to support it enough to fill it up, but still see underneath. then fill it and watch for leaks until you are confident they are all cured. Then drain, set back down in position off the blocks carefully, not twisting or banging it around, and refill again. Good luck!
