Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. It is widely used in cold and hot water supply, heating supply, fire protection, medicinal gas, industrial petroleum pipeline system etc.

- dont use poly pipe for mainline. it will leak on you. soon and it sucks really i have seen what happens. i repair sprinkler systems for aliving. use a 1in mainline PVC pipe and lateral lines then use 1.5 inch poly pipe for the heads. no more than 2 per poly pipe. dont listen to those online designs. a professionally installed system will not include poly pipe for mainline. it just will not work properly. edit you didnt say main line or lateral line you just said poly and supply line. supply line could be your houses water line. either way the 1in and 3/4 in poly lines are crap. seen it fail. many times. just trying to help you out. for residential the best way to do it is with a 1in main line and lateral lines and use 1/2 in poly pipe no more than 2 heads to three heads max per poly line. average 5-6 rotors per zone and 8 misters per zone. maybe 10 at most.

- If treated with bleach and other pool chemicals it should be just fine. They typically feed off the water main (drinking water).

- Pipe fittings 3/4 refers to the pipe fittings of six points (6 British points), DN (diameter) of 20mm, the outer diameter of 26.8mm.

- Q: which has more quality? natural rubber or synthetic rubber?
- copper will cost you a whole lot considering copper prices. CPVC is ok, and PVC is not allowed for potable water. A real good system to use is PEX pipe. I use the Zurn Pex system and have had no problems with it. It installs quicker, uses less fittings, and is way cheaper than copper.

- are you building a home made cannon of some kind? i suggested it to someone recently and told them to make sure they got pressure rated pvc. the fittings cost more than the pipes, especially if you're only getting a metre or two of piping. well, the joiners are only 3 or 4 bucks, but the end piece and screw cap can be 15 or so. don't forget the primer when you're getting the adhesive. i got pressure rated pvc and all the fittings from bunnings, but that was a while ago, and i think i had to shop around a bit to get the right sizes and stuff. so, are you a diy plumber or a budding spudzooka builder? orange cannon?
- Q: my family and I just moved to a new house, we used to live in an apartment w/ a security system, the house we moved into is very nice, but i didnt relize that the neighborhood was a little on the getto side, anyway there are 3 bedrooms 2 up and 1 down. night I cant sleep because the children are upstairs and we are downstairs. Im so afraid of someone breaking in or there being a fire.. I have never had my children so far away from me at night..before bed everynight I lock up the house and turn everything electrical off, and i still cant help but worry, I have considerd sleeping on the couch, is there anyone else out there going through this and what should I do.. would it be crazy of me to get a LARGE dog? would it do any good?
