Solar Module Descriptions:

A solar panel, or photovoltaic PV module, is a device that is composed of solar cells and which, when struck by photons of light from the sun, generates an electrical current which can then be used to power DC or AC electrical loads. Our modules are high efficiency photovoltaic modules using silicon nitride coated polycrystalline silicon cells. The solar module can produce maximum power output, even under weak light. It is able to resist moisture and etching effectively, and not affected by geology.

FAQ

Q: How long is the warranty period for the solar modules?

15 years 90% of its nominal power rating.

25 years 80% of its nominal power rating

Q: When do I need a charge controller and why?

The safest way to figure out if you need a charge controller is to take Battery Amp Hour Capacity and divide this by the Solar Panel max. power amp rating. If the quotient is above 200, you don't need a controller. If the number is less than 200 than you need a controller.

Q: Are there any health risks associated with solar panels?
Overall, solar panels do not pose significant health risks. They are a safe and environmentally friendly source of energy. However, some minor risks can include potential electrical hazards during installation or maintenance, such as electric shock or fire. Additionally, the production and disposal of solar panels may involve certain toxic materials, although efforts are made to minimize their impact. Nonetheless, these risks are generally well-managed and can be mitigated through proper installation, maintenance, and adherence to safety guidelines.
Q: I want to make 2V 4.5A solar panel to charge my battery used in my RC car project. I just like to know how should I amplify the current for 4.5A. I need the total circuit diagram. Can anyone help me. Please. I need some affordable methods please.
To increase current, you connect the cells in parallel. But I think you really mean you need 4.5 watts rather than 4.5 amps of current. For an RC car, 4.5 amps would be huge, literally a regular car battery. So I think you mean you need a 2v, 4.5w panel. That would make more sense for an RC car battery. I went on OKorder and bought a 2v, 5 watt panel for about $30.
Q: I am looking to get some solar panels for my home to just power a few lights, a fan or two. I have a generator but I want that only to power the fridge and maybe some other small stuff for convenience. But mainly want the solar panels for the lights and fans. Any one have an idea of how about I go to figuring this all out? Should I call a contractor or anything?
I okorder / for find a local solar panel installer. Hurricanes may damage the solar equipment, so be sure to cover on insurance.
Q: Exactly How much power will this kit produce? for example. Will it only be able to power the 2 light throughout an entire day or would it be able to power a couple TV's with a couple lights. Or a Refrigerator? washer dryer? I'm just wondering exactly what it will be able to do and if it's worth paying $200 for if it'll only power two lights. Don't get me wrong, That's great and will make a difference but i'm looking for something that will make a little bit of a bigger difference. Would the 80 watt monocrystalline solar panel be much better? if so, what would it be able to power? double?
Yes, 80 watts will be nearly twice as useful as 45 watts - but 80 is still a small number. Solar panel systems need an inverter and there's a slight energy loss at the inverter. And, if you want to use the day's energy at night, you'll need a battery or two. And every time you move energy into or out of a battery, you lose a little of the energy. All this is to say that you need to sum up the wattage of your appliances and add a fudge factor to accommodate for the losses. I looked at the kit and was moderately impressed. $200/45=$4.44/watt; that's a reasonable price but the links I left below talk of prices as low as $2.58/watt. Also the Harbor Freight kit doesn't contain an 'inverter' which you would have to buy. Also the wattage advertised for any solar panel assumes the thing is clean and pointed right at the sun on a clear day.
Q: What is the efficiency of solar panels?
The efficiency of solar panels refers to the amount of sunlight that is converted into usable electricity. It is typically measured as a percentage and can vary depending on factors such as the quality of the panels and the location of installation. On average, modern solar panels have an efficiency range of 15% to 20%, with some advanced models reaching up to 25%.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a library or educational institution?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a library or educational institution. In fact, many libraries and educational institutions are increasingly adopting solar energy systems to reduce their carbon footprint, lower energy costs, and promote renewable energy education. Installing solar panels on rooftops or open spaces of these buildings can provide clean and sustainable electricity, benefiting both the institution and the environment.
Q: I really want a projector but i hear they use a lot of energy because of the lamp. I want a good one to watch movies and play games on. but i don't want one that is gonna kill the lighting bill.is there like a solar panel or something i could use for it. PLZ HELP.
Do understand, that a solar panel is slow to pay for itself. Let's say your electric bill was $200 a month ($2400 a year). A solar system would cost perhaps $24,000 so you would actually have paid your first 0 years of electricity in advance when installing the panels. After that 0 years, you start to be ahead financially. It can still be a good idea, but it may not be the quick and cheap solution you were looking for.
Q: Do solar panels require a specific type of wiring or electrical setup?
Yes, solar panels require a specific type of wiring and electrical setup. They need to be connected in series or parallel configurations to form a solar array, and the wiring should be sized appropriately to handle the current produced by the panels. Additionally, an inverter is typically required to convert the DC power generated by the panels into AC power that can be used in homes or businesses. Proper grounding and safety measures must also be considered during installation.
Q: how long till a 50 watt solar panel pays itself off in buffalo, ny if its $500. i have national grid and heres the link to the rates. i am residential.
the Department of Energy has a ' solar hours calculator for locations around the US factoring in hours of sunlight.....the other factor is how perpendicular to the sun the panel is.....as a wild guess I'd say Buffalo's solar hours factor is about 3....which means as an average over 365 days you get 3 hours a day of maximum ( 50 watts ) output. So 3 x 50 x 365 = 64.25 kWh a year. At, say, 5 cents a kWh, you're making $24.63 a year worth of electricity. See why the houses of upstate New York..let alone Ohio or Virginia or Georgia.....aren''t covered in panels?
Q: How do solar panels perform in areas with high pollution levels?
Solar panels are affected by high pollution levels as the presence of pollutants in the air can reduce their overall performance. The efficiency of solar panels decreases due to the reduced sunlight reaching the surface of the panels. Additionally, the accumulation of dust and particles on the surface of the panels can further hinder their performance by blocking sunlight. Regular cleaning and maintenance can help mitigate some of these effects, but high pollution levels can still have a negative impact on solar panel performance.
