- Q: I have these lights fixtures in my kitchen, I don't know what they're call..but they are flush to the ceiling and uses these big light bulbs. I want to replace them with the pig tail light bulbs, will that set my light fixture on fire because I'm using the wrong light bulbs? Please help.....
- If your current lighting uses a dimmer switch, you won't be able to use the fluorescent (pig tail) bulbs. Check the label on the bulbs you plan to buy to make sure they're able to be used with your current fixtures.

- Yes, they can. The only difference between sunlight and other light all around us is the composition [ie the specific frequencies of photons combined in that ray of sunlight], and technically the plants use the energy, so due to E=hf, when the frequency is higher [eg sunlight, UV light] you get more energy, the plants thrive more, but any light is okay as long as the energy is not too low [or high] for the plants. That's why plants can grow from infrared light, but they don't thrive cos there's just too little.
