Q: would someone who study both white crane kung-fu & ninjutsu be called a mixed martial artist?
It is mixing two martial arts but its not mma. MMA is more for fighting. While the styles you speak of are thought to be more of an ART. White crane kung-fu is not even used today and very rare to find. Most people that claim to teach it are probly teaching there own crane style. That goes for the same as ninjutsu. Both I styles i find to be not affective when matched up against an mma fighter. Some people from watching movies have this belief that ninjutsu is some deadly art when what is left of it today is not. Ninjutsu has not evolved and does not possess the ground game the brazilian Jui jitsu posses. Its also widely known that finding a true ninjutsu school is next to impossible. Now to Emerald. Your wrong. I must disagree with just about all your points. Its widely known that Boxing is the oldest known martial art in the world. Next to that is wrestling. You forget that another popular style among MMA practitioners is Muay Thai which has been around just as long as kung fu. It is also known to be one of the most powerful styles used today. Sorry to say its been proven that a master of one art will lose to a master of BJJ. We all remember the gracie challenge that got this started. U must of never seen all the karate and kung fu guys get choked out. Ignorance is bliss. Your styles failed and that is why they are no longer is use in mma today. Watch the UFC then watch your karate point sparing. Think about it.
Q: I don't understand why or how they still exist. I know I'll get some answers saying they're part of the food chain but what animal on earth would get a sufficient meal from one of these?
Your question is one for philosophers or priests because it is a question about purpose. Scientists never ask the purpose of anything, they only ask about functions. There must be thousands of animals that eat crane flies: Fish, bats, birds, robber flies, spiders . . . the list is practically endless. I'm not sure I understand your question about how they exist. How does any living thing exist?
Q: who invented cranes?
Lost in the mists of time. We know that the Babylonians and Egyptians used simple cranes a few thousand years BC.
Q: How do you jump a crane? I know you jack it up but how is that done?
I have no idea what you mean by jump a crane? What type of crane? Truck mounted, overhead, pedestal?
Q: I know that an ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. This summation, or something like it comes up in every search I do for the legend. Is there a full story that goes with the original legend? If so I would very much like to read it. Wikipedia doesn't have it. Also, while Sadako's story is very touching, it is not the one I'm looking for.
We just finished learning about this in school. It goes back really far, but this is what i know of. A long time ago when heroshima, the atom bomb hit, there were only few survivors. one little girl, i dont remeber her name, was told she was going to die. he heard an old legend that if someone were to fold 1000 paper cranes in one year, they would recive a wish that would come true. The littl girl started folding paper cranes so she could wish that she would live and everyone would have world peace. She sadly died before she was able to fold all 1000 cranes, but ever since a paper crane was a symbol of peace. She has a statue in japan and every year they recive thousands of paper cranes made from children around the world that they hang on her statue.
Q: We need to purchase spare parts. If there are any supplier in the ASEAN region as possible. We are in urgent need . We are from Viet NamThank you.Email : tuanhuynh62@yahoo,com
they claim to have what you need. Good luck, I bet it's near impossable to get parts over there. You have a lot of work?
Q: How do you calculate ground bearing pressure for cranes?
Crane Ground Bearing Pressure Calculator
Q: Protected cranes are nesting in pine trees with possible disease carrying bird droppings covering drive way and street where neighborhood children play. I've called several local organizations only to be told there is nothing I can do since they are protected by law. These birds return every year and stay for about 4 months - each year gets worse with droppings and stench. Daily cleaning is required but that still does not keep the areas around them clean.
I okorder and do an archive search for the story which will cost you a couple of dollars (Search terms: Turlock and egrets.) You might want to discuss with the Fish and Game Service regarding: Whether they're cattle egrets, and if so, are they actually migratory birds, or an invasive species...
Q: A heavy concrete panel is being lifted into position in a building by means of a crane (see figure below). The tension of 1.78 x 10^4 N in the supporting cable produces a torque with respect to point O. (Let L = 46.3 m.)
The crane contributes a torque of 495,979.8 Newton-meters. 1.78e+4 * 46.3 * cos(53.0) = 495,979.8 ...but this is not the total (net) torque. There is also a torque due to the weight of the concrete slab - torque we are ignoring since we do not know the weight of the slab.
Q: Like I know he's the head gamemaker, but i mean seriously, madge is MUCH more important than him. i know he let k/p live, but still......madge did more than him?
Seneca Crane was the game maker of the 74th hunger games and let two tributes win aka Katniss and Peeta. Seneca Crane was the executed because of that because the capitol felt like having two tributes win was a defeat for the capitol because it showed that the capitol lost control and therefore can't completely control everything..which was what all districts were used to at the time, or at least until Katniss and Peeta 'rebelled'. From a film aspect, Seneca Crane is important because they might use him to advance the plot and Crane might also be a huge transition piece from the first movie to the next (since he was kind of the reason for fueling the flames of the rebellion). I LOVED Madge too, and I am not entirely sure why they left her out, though she seemed important in the book she really wasn't. She only gave the symbol of the rebellion and helped Katinss here and there, but she wasn't really a plot advancing character...I mean anyone could have helped Katniss and given her the mockingjay...most likely Cina will be giving her the pin in the movie because he is Katniss' stylist. TEAM PEETA RULES!!!!!!!
