- Q: What are the steps to building a patio? Here is my assumption, maybe you can add to it or tell me I'm crazy.1) Use a Sod Cutter and clear away 2quot; of Sod.2) Lay Down Pea Gravel3) Lay Down Sand4) Place the Pavers, Bricks, whatever down5) Cover the patio with sand6) Use one of those vibrating things that look like a lawn mower without wheels to pack down the sand in between the bricks.7) Sit back with a Mint Julip on your new patio.Where did I go wrong?gt;
- THE MOST IMPORTANT TASK IS TO REMOVE TOPSOIL !, BY HIRING A MINITURE 2.5 TON EXCAVATOR IE;HITACHI ETC,FROM HIRE CENTRE, LIKE hirequip .nz, HAS HERE IN N.Z, AND DIG DOWN TO CLAY. ...(IF YOU LAY ON TOPSOIL, IT WILL GET BOGGY AND SETTLE,WHEN WET) DIG A 6 INCH WIDE TRENCH AT 2 INCH DEEP AND POUR A CONCRETE NIB WALL (optional) AROUND PERIMETER....15 INC HIGH....TO HOLD GRAVEL AND KEEP TIDY......INC PLUMBING PIPES/ELECTRICS AND DRAINAGE FOR FUTURE OUTDOOR KITCHEN ETC. FILL TO DESIRED HITE WITH PEA GRAVEL AND USE (60 TO 75 KG) COMPACTOR TO PACK DOWN....OPERATE IN A CRISCROSS PATTERN...UNTIL ROCK SOLID. ON FINAL 2 INCH OF 50/50 SAND AND PEA GRAVEL, MIXED TO 20 % WITH CEMENT (JUST SPREAD CEMENT IN SAND/GRAVEL MIX AND RAKE IN) THEN LEVEL OFF...THEN COMPACT HARD UNTIL PLATE COMPACTOR STARTS BOUNCING ON SURFACE.. AFTER THAT, CHECK FOR DESIRED LEVEL/FALL .....RAKE AND BALANCE UP THE AREA AND COMPACT AGAIN AS PREVIOUS,.., IF NEED BE UNTIL PERFECT..(THE CEMENT IS TO STABILISE BASE), AND USE COMPACTOR IN A CRIS-CROSS PATTERN,ALTERNATING DIRECTIONS AFTER EVERY 2ND ROUND AND NOT JUST COMPACT ONE WAY. THE RESULTS OF FINAL COMPACTION SHOULD BE ROCK HARD). ...THEN LIGHTLY WATER (ENUFF TO DAMPEN TOP LAYER OF SAND/CEMENT MIX) TOP TO SET OFF CEMENT BASE...... ONCE BASE IS SET IN 18 HRS..(HARD BUT DUSTY) THRO 4 MM OF FINE SAND OVER SURFACE THEN LAY DOWN.....OLD BRICKS,HARDWOOD RAILWAY SLEEPERS(AKA, TIES) OR WHATEVER?. THEN FILLGAPS WITH FINE GRIT OR GRAVEL, THE GRIT SHOULD FLOW INTO GAPS LIKE BIRDSHOT. NOTE, I CHOOSE ONLY TO USE THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM OF SAND AS IT SHRINKS AND SETTLE WHEN DRY, AND AFTER PAVING I ALSO AVOID COMPACTING THE PAVERS ETC....AS IT WILL MAKE A TOTAL MESS, DUE TO BASE BEING SO HARD. THE ADVANTAGE OF GRIT OR SUPER FINEGRAVEL BETWEEN PAVERS ETC DOES NOT BLOW AROUND NOR SETTLE . ....TAKE TIME DON T RUSH... IF THIS FAILS.....GOOGLE....TAUNTENS OR CREATIVE PUBLISHING AND ORDER A PATIO BOOK.
- Q: I'm really interested in joining the U.S Navy, hopefully to be a Construction Mechanic (CM). Will i be able to get my ASE after my A-School? Or do i get it after my duty? And also what civilian jobs may i be able to relatively transfer to really smoothly? And also after the Seabees, im planning to attend U.T.I (Universal Technical Institute) to further pursue my career as a Master technician. Is it worth it? Or not? Any suggestions? Detailed reasonable answers are appreciated :)
- As a CM you'll be working on everything from excavators and scrappers to semi tractors to M-wraps to bucket trucks to those little Honda water pumps. I don't think the Navy gets into certifying you for ACE as a matter of business, but you have your Chiefs of Alpha CO and the education PO of your battalion to ask and get help getting them. As far as transferring into civilian life, everyone is looking for good mechanics and hydraulic guys. If you get a chance to kind of specialize in something, look at what companies are screaming for and try to go to C-school for that. I don't know anything about UTI, so I won't go there. Be advised that Seabees require a higher ASVAB and line scores than a lot of rates and it's a five year commitment. Also they just decommissioned four Battalions due to 0bamas fake budget cuts, so it's going to be tight getting in.
- Q: I'm looking for a 2.5 tire for a sick hefty AM almost FR hardtail...(probably a Transition Vagrant)... I wanted something wide, predictable and that would really hook up on just about everything... I couldn't decide between the 2 tires so I'm thinking maybe Kenda in the rear, WTB in the front???
- I love the Weirwolfs....not too crazy about them on the front because they kick up crap all over my legs, but it's a great tire. I run it on the rear. A couple friends of mine didn't like the way they cornered because they said they could feel the bumpiness of the gaps in the corner knobs....I've never noticed it and they do great for me. Excavators are pretty aggressive....very different than the Weirwolf. If you have loamy or sandy/loose soil they'll hook up great. Kinda rough on the trails, though, so if you don't need the big knobs, maybe gear down a notch. Maxxis Highrollers or WTB Prowlers are worth looking at, and there are still a lot of people riding IRC Trailbears, too. Intense makes some great tires....definitely worth looking at.
- Q: Are psychopaths posesssed by the devil?
- There is not evidence to suggest that. Evidence strongly supports that psychopathy is caused by brain injury or deformation. The most famous cases are Phineas Gage and Chris Benoit. Phineas Gage was a construction excavator in the 1940's a freak explosion shot an iron rod into his head. Incredibly (especially given the lack of antibiotics at the time) he survived the removal of the rod and lived for several years after that. It was noted that he showed increasingly sociopathic and psychotic behavior soon after the accident. Chris Benoit was a pro wrestler who began showing signs of mental instability after a botched wrestling stunt gave him a serious concussion (one of several in his life of high impact pseudo-sports). In 2007 he went full on psycho, strangled his children and wife, then hung himself. These are just two famous cases that support the idea that head injuries, not demons cause psychopathic behavior. In the absence of head trauma the likely culprit is a congenital birth defect or injury in the brain area. Religion, OTOH, will only make it worse. A psychopath who believes in demons due to a religious upbringing will interpret the symptoms of psychopathy AS demonic influence or torment and may not seek the ideal treatment and they to pray away the brain injury instead.
- Q: What are the differences between a hydraulic excavator and a backhoe?
- According to the different work methods used excavator backhoe excavator item. Hydraulic excavator is a very abstract concept, it can be divided into positive shovel, backhoe, dragline and so on.
- Q: the mass of an excavator is twice that of a farm tractor. the sum of their masses is 21.9 ft . find both massesand how did you get the answer, I don't get how to do it.if anyone could explain it would help alot. thanks. :)
- If the sum of their masses is basically 2n + n (the mass of the tractor times two (2n) = mass of the excavator plus the mass of the tractor alone (n), you could do in terms of algebra: 21.9 = 2n + n Combine like terms. 21.9 = 3n To undo the n times 3, divide both sides by three. 21.9 = 3n ___ __ 3 3 n = 7.3 You could also just divide 21.9 by three since it's really just the mass of the tractor three times. 21.9/3 = 7.3 Hope I helped!
- Q: What kind of excavator is trong?
- Usually with tracks or wheels. Because of its special appearance, in the various titles, such as backhoes, backhoe digging machine, etc..
- Q: today, a guy left his backhoe running for 5 straight hours without even useing it............
- ribuckeye is correct. A diesel engine operates off of the principal of heat. They do not run well, or operate efficiently until they are warmed up. If you were ever to go to a railroad yard, you would find that the locomotive's diesel engine is rarely ever shut off. However with the high cost of diesel fuel, many trucking companies now require their drivers to shut off the engine when it is not in use, as a cost savings measure.
- Q: What are some bad names I can call my guy friend we are calling each other likes hoes and crap what are some good names to call him remember were joking
- Cracker Fudgepacker Turdburgular **** Asswipe Spick Junglemonkey Buttpirate Assmaster Flamer Numnuts Artard ******** PencilDick Ballsack Gooch Queef Anus excavator tit swab
- Q: I have just purchased a JD 190e and want a recommendation on what grease gun to use to grease the tracks
- A regular sized one will do just fine. You know...the one that uses tubes of grease about the size of a tube of bathroom caulk. I'd get one with a flexible hose as opposed to a fixed one. That way, you'll be able to get to the tough ones without having to maneuver the machine as much.
