- Where I live, you call the removal truck for dead animals. They used to pick up cattle without charging, but for horses the last I heard it was $300 because the carcass was not able to be used for anything. I believe if you own your own property and are far enough away from neighbors, cities, etc. and have the necessary machinery (backhoe, skid loader, tractor) you can dig a deep hole and bury it. But I'm sure there are different laws for different areas of the country, and it is forbidden in certain places. If you know the horse is going to die, or be put down, some equine research centers at universities take horses for research purposes. Check in your area.

- Q: Im building a new house and i am currently arranging to have the excavator contractor there to install septic and excavate for the foundation. Then im having the foundation contractor come in to do his job. I live in Nova Scotia if that makes any difference. Should any of these guys be asking for money up front or part way through? Or do they finish then bill me with 30 days to pay? Whats the normal procedure?

I paid the architect after final billing and paid the contractor first a deposit, and from then on had a planned payment schedule of 3 sums with the successful completion of each stage as described in our contract. There was also a final payment for requested extras not included in our quote. Our builder is a very stand up guy.
- Q: I need a trailer for a CAT 307 Hydraulic Excavator. The equipment is 18'8quot; long but the only trailers I can find are rated for 15,000 lbs but the equipment weighs 15,598 lb. What kind of trailer would fit these needs?Is it safe to load the trailer over the 15,598 gvwr?Also I would prefer regular style ball trailer or pintle hitch trailer. Rather not go for the gooseneck trailer but if i have to i will.
- Hi as this is really a 7 ton unit which normally has to sit on a low loader a normal trailer will not do the job it needs to go on a flat bed articulated trailer.as it exceeds the normal trailer weight. exceed this and the police will pull you over and the trailer and vehicle towing it would be impounded as being illegal. VOSN will take it off you as it is an irregular weight to be on a trailer with a ball hitch or clasp hitch.

- Well for number 1, simply find the volume by multiplying the given dimensions For number 2, you would need to know approxamitely the volume of trash going in daily, or something along those lines For the third, convert dimensions to yards, then multiply them? That's how I would do it, unless I misread the question
- Q: I have 30 feet long on driveway side and 40 feet long in the back yard that needs to be dug up and hauled away ( it's probably alot of clay)? I believe it's about 65 yards at 8 feet down, 3 feet out but I'm not sure how far out you need to go. And how much will pea gravel and sand be to buy and back fill? When everything is dug out, I will need to jack up my house and jack the 2 walls back in place and then fix the drain tiles if needed, tar and fix cracks before back filled. Might have to be a mini excavator.
