Q: I am looking for what the breeding season is for sandhill cranes?: Mid-April to mid-June is breeding season for Florida Sandhill cranes lasts from December-June. For most other cranes, like those here in the midwestern U.S., the breeding season is March and April. I'm fortunate enough to live not too far from the Jasper Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area where the Sandhill Cranes migrate every spring and fall. I always go to see this spectacular event.

Q: With hi-rise buildings being constructed left and right, i was just wondering, how do they raise cranes? this has really been bugging me for a time now..: Tower cranes are usually erected in one of two ways. You could lift the parts into place with a mobile crane with a telescopic boom which is taller than the crane being built. Some people ask why you dont just use the mobile crane all the time, but the tower crane has higher lifting capacity, longer reach and is cheaper. Some tower cranes are assembled at ground level. The long boom, cab and counter weight are assembled and then jacked up off the ground. A small bit of tower is then sliped in beneath the assembly and attached. The crane is the jacked up again and another portion of the tower sliped in. This is repeated until the desired height is reached. The first method is the most common.

Q: It affects my day to day life, especially in the summer, having to cope with crane flies, wasps and moths getting into my house, so I usually just pretty much keep myself in my room, door closed, windows closed to prevent any from getting into my room. If I happen to be near any of these insects I tend to have a panic attack and can't handle it. I have no reason for my fear, I am just afraid of them for no reason.
