Wtat about Mast Section?
All mast sections are from the well-tried modular, panels, pin-jointed system, the mast panels are manufactured strictly and made to tolerances that permit the weight of the crane to rest on the corner angles of the mast, rather than on the pins. This ensures long-life in addition to fast and safe installation. Easily dismantled into panels for long-distance transport, a large number of mast sections can be transported in one container reducing transport costs.

Do they use another type of crane to assemble them?: Tower cranes assembly starts with the foundation of the crane with lot concrete blocks for fixing, then they fix the first bottom part of the crane then they fix the boom with the counter weights, when they want to extend the height, they fix a jack up machine which lift up the boom and then insert a vertical piece and so on till they reach the required height. During the first installation they use a small mobile crane and then after the crane it self lift and fix the pieces

Q: I just made origami cranes and want to hang them up, each by themselves with just a peice of string....how should i go about doing this? how is it usually done?: TAke a needle threaded with a long piece of black thread, and make a small knot at end of long thread. Push the needle thru the middle of the crane's back and pull the thread all the way thru the hole till the knot catches. pull the needle off the loose end of the thread and make another knot on that end. take a push pin or thumb tack and push the pin thru the knot, then push the pin or tack into the ceiling. FYI, tape never works - I have tried. The black thread lets them flutter a bit, and is invisible most of the time. p.s. ask your parents if you can hang stuff from the ceiling first. they may not want you to do that since it will leave holes in the ceiling when you take them down.

Q: These cranes always stay higher than the construction process but I have never seen how they are extended to stay above all of it. They come in two formats, free standing and those attached to the building. The possibilities that I thought of was that maybe they use another crane to lift the housing and the horisontal arm to put in more modules into the vertical part; or that they extend it by some way by putting modules in at the top or bottom and that the crane has some self-lifting mechanism to accommodate the insertion of more modules. However, I have never seen this being done, nor does the construction of these cranes point to its ability to do so. The only other possibility that I could think of was that the crane is set up at the outset to be higher than the completed height of the building, hence there is no need to extend it but this does not explain how they do it for very high buildings where the crane is attached to the building and seems to grow higher with the building.: Ever heard of Superman?

Q: I have a Manfrotto/Bogen 055XB tripod that says it supports up to about 15lbs. The crane I'm looking into getting is the Glidecam Camcrane 200 which says it has a payload of up to 30lbs. depending on the height. What would happen if I were to use this crane with my tripod?: Please let me know where you will be so I can capture the video of your camera crashing to the ground. Q: I am kinda really sick of paper cranes, and I was wondering if there's any good method of making paper birds that look, well, like birds.
