- Q: An 800N painter stands 3.00m from the left end of a scaffold that is 4.00m long. The uniform wooden scaffold weighs 100N and is hung by a chain at each end. What is the tension in each chain?A uniform meter stick weighs 25 N. An 80 N weight is hung at the 20.0cm mark. A 70.0N weight is hung at the 90cm mark. what is the magnitude of the upward force needed to balance the meter stick? Please help! I have a huge exam on these and my teacher wouldn't help me! I am so stumped please help!
- Required conditions for equilibrium (Other wise the scaffold is moving) Sum of forces = 0 Sum of Torques = 0 Sum of Forces Painter: 800 N DOWN Scaffold: 100 N Down Sum of tensions in chains = 800 + 100 = 900 N UP Sum of Torques (Pick one end, it does not matter which. I choose the Left end) Torque = Force * Lever arm Painter is 3.0 meters from Left end Tp = 800 N * 3.00 m = 2,400 N-m CW (Clockwise) Center of gravity is at the center of the scaffold or 4/2 = 2 meters from the Left enf Ts = 100 * 2 = 200 N-m CW This means that the chain on the Right end must supply 2400 + 200 = 2600 N-m CCW Tc = Fc * 4.00 m 2600 = Fc * 4 Fc= 650 N UP Total need up is 900 N====> 900 - 650 = 250 N in Left chain QED
- Q: In my mind it was and still is one of the most dangerous matches in wrestling history in my mind what's your opinion on the scaffold match?
- Your right, think of the past injuries in this this type of match makes it one of the most dangerous. It is also one of the most entertaining matches, so I think why its so popular.
- Q: I'm getting one on Saturday, I already have double lobe piercings in each ear, and a flesh tunnel in my right, but i've heard cartiliage piercings hurt alot more than a normal lobe one?
- I had mine done 2 days ago and honestly, no one actually believes me when I say this, but it didn't hurt at all. I think you need to go to a skilled piercer because some piercers take so long to get on to doing the second hole, that by the time they do it all the blood has rushed to your ear and is causing you pain. After your ear will feel very warm, this is normal.
- Q: Full house scaffolding height of more than the number of meters experts need to do
- The height of the erection of the frame is more than 24m, and only need to be designed and calculated according to the regulations.
- Q: Why is there so much unnecessary scaffolding in NYC?
- Must belong to someone's cousin. Buildings need cleaning too.
- Q: Okay well it's been 4 weeks now and I think that the front part is infected I'm not sure. But just next to the piercing there's a bump in my ear and puss comes out, but it's not that much. How can I tell if it is infected? And if it is, is there anything I can do about it? Thanks. :)
- First, leave the piercing in. The jewelry will act as a drain. If you take the jewelry out while it still has puss, the infection can be caught under the skin and that's a world of problems. ONLY wash it with unscented, uncolored anti-bacterial soap and sea salt soak it with warm (not hot) water twice a day for 10 minutes. I think it's 1/4 teaspoon sea salt water in 1 cup water
- Q: Scaffolding construction specification is what? Do you know?
- Short distance horizontal transportation2, the basic requirements of the scaffold: (1) sufficient strength, stiffness, stability;(2) sufficient area;(3)Safety, high altitude operation requirements;(4)Has the advantages of simple structure, convenient assembly and disassembly; (5) according to local conditions, local materials.
- Q: Why do a mobile tower scaffolds have wheels fitted with brakes?
- So it can be partially assembled, moved into position, then the brakes are put on so it doesn't move while it's in use.
- Q: What is the size of the bowl buckle scaffold?
- Bowl buckle scaffold barName specification A (mm) B (mm) theoretical weight (kg)Crossbar HG-30 3001.67HG-60 6002.82HG-90 9003.97HG-120 12005.12HG-150 15006.28
- Q: Please give me the name and link to the photo of it. Thanks!
- Bamboo is an old version of scaffolding. Now, we used couplers or cuplock system. These scaffoldings are very rigid which you may also use as propped supports for concreting of beams, slabs, columns and retaining walls. These scaffoldings are greatly being used right now in UAE where I am working. Safety wise, the system is being recommended for high rise buildings most specially when you are working along the facase for finishing works.
