- Yes, all piercings should be done with a needle. Guns are cattle tagging pieces of poop and are inadequate for any piercing. Everyone has a different pain tolerance but if it's something you really want it'll be worth the pain, and piercings only last for a second and it's done. I imagine it would be quite painful though as it's cartilage which always tends to be a little stingy when being pierced.
- Q: What kind of piercing would you recommend a scaffold piercing in the ears cartlidge or a belly button piercing?
- I have both my cartilage and my belly button pierced. I love them both! Cartilage piercing was initially less painful until you had to turn it once a day during cleaning - that hurt a lot. Also, whichever side you get it pierced on - it will hurt SO bad if you sleep on that side. It takes around 8 months to a year to completely heal. Cost was $40. Belly button - It felt like a pinch when I got mine done. Clean this one 2x a day with sea salt soaks. Don't swim until it is completely healed. It takes 6-8 months to completely heal. Cost was $20 on half price piercing day - so it's usually $40.

- My friend wanted the same thing done so she asked the piercer and he pierced one side of her top ear first and a week later she went back and got the other side pierced. She got used to the rings being in for 2 weeks and then put a bar in. Beware though as the bar that is put into your ear can make your skin grow around it, I still have two lumps on my ear from where the piercing went dodgy and so has my friend.
