Q: I got mine done a few days ago and it's super swollen and bruised. I've been told they have pierced it wrong as they didn't use any needles and they just shoved the bar straight through. Is that right? Or should they have used needles? Thank you!
They definitely should have used a needle!
Q: I've had my industrial piercing for about 6 months, about 2 months after I had it done I thought it was healed and stupidly changed the bar to a cheap on I bought off ebay. BIG mistake I know, it got infected and I was put on antibiotics. It's been healing well for about 3 months now, but how long roughly will it take to fully heal?
It really does depend on the person i've had mines since last year January and mines still didn't heal but that's because i changed my jewelry too quick but just have patience plus its a bar connected to 2 holes so yea its going to take some time especially if you hit mistakenly or if you wash your hair a lot like I do with shampoo but try to use h2ocean it makes your piercings heal faster
Q: ^^^ thats alll. and does it hurt?
relies upon on the place you reside- I stay in Michigan and the tattoo parlors around indexed under are $25.00 for all peircings above the waist. I dont think of Ive considered everywhere for extra desirable than that. yet once you reside in California or Florida, that's going to in all probability be extra because of the fact its a great vacationer/spring harm spot and many college young ones get tattoos/peircings on Spring harm, so they jack up the value of each little thing
Q: On my blackberry so bare with me, I got my scaffold pierced on monday, everything fine, monday night I saw a lil blood clot scab thing...being an idiot I picked it, since then its non stop bled on and off, its now wednesday and its bleeding heavily, I don't know what to do, it soaks up pads of tissue in minuets.Anyone have any suggestions? Thankyou x
go see a doctor, that doesn't sound good.
Q: i have an industrial piercing but the top piercing(scaffold) has a bump on it making it hard to find the hole to put other jewerly in besides the bar. how do i get rid of the bump?
It is probably hypotrophic scarring. Cartilage piercings, especially all types of industrials, are prone to this type of scar. Hypotrophic scarring is a bump surrounding the exit hole, the same color as your skin. It may feel hard, but often are not painful. They are usually caused by jewelry putting pressure on the piercing, and the body responds by scarring. Hypotrophic scarring is often due to pressure on a piercing. Changing your jewelry is usually the best move. If the scar is around a ring or other curved jewelry, switch to something straight, like a barbell. If it's on an industrial, put individual jewelry in each piercing. Consult your piercer for jewelry changes in unhealed piercings. Time and oil massages often improve scarring. If hypotrophic scars don't improve after some time, steroid injections and certain topical creams may help. Consult a doctor to see if this is an option.
Q: Okay well it's been 4 weeks now and I think that the front part is infected I'm not sure. But just next to the piercing there's a bump in my ear and puss comes out, but it's not that much. How can I tell if it is infected? And if it is, is there anything I can do about it? Thanks. :)
It may be getting infected, I would just put alchoal on a Q-tip and rub it on at night and in the morning. Good luck (:
Q: I live on the second floor of an apartment building the scaffolding is all around the windows. When the men are working, they are just a few feet away! It's awful. Anyway to find out when this hideous mess will come down?
Well on every building that has construction on it there's a little section that he paper work and permits all over it ( usually at street level) so I'm going to guess if you can obtain the constructions companies phone number from those paper you can call and ask when the scaffolding is coming down.
Q: Thinking about getting this peircing done next. I got my first and second peircing on my lobes and neither hurt at all to me (like .5 out of 10). How much does industrial hurt out of 10? Is it a similar pain to lobe peircing? Also how long does it take to heal, until you can take it out and sleep on it?
For me, I'd rate it's pain level at about a 5. Just all depends on how well you tolerate. It's more uncomfortable than getting a lobe piercing, really not that similar. Mine took about about 6-8 months to heal for changing the jewelry, but took like maybe 2-3 months until I was able to sleep on it again. Good luck if you get it.
Q: A window washer is standing on a scaffold supported by a vertical rope at each end. The scaffold weighs 210 N and is 3.30 m long. What is the tension in each rope when the 690 N worker stands 2.30 m from one end?______ N (smaller tension)______ N (larger tension)
assuming the scaffold is uniform weight, take moments around 1 end to get the tension in the rope of the other the ∑M = 0, take the rope tension direction as positive 690 x 2.3 + 210 x (3.3 / 2) = T1 x 3.3 T1 = 586N Now moments around the other end 690 x (3.3-2.3) + 210 x (3.3/2) = T2 x 3.3 T2 = 314N You can check your answers as ∑F = 0, so 586 + 314 - 210 - 690 = 0
Q: Hi im thinking of buying some Industrial Jewelry online but im not sure about the measurements. My recipt for my piercing says a 14g 1/4 barbell was used.
From what I see on the site, pick the 14GA 11/4 option since it's long enough to go through the top of your ear. Seems there was a little typo on the receipt your piercer gave you. The mm measurements next to each of the sizing options refer to the diameter of the balls on either side. Hope that helped!
