1.Desription

Aluminium is theoretically 100% recyclable without any loss of its natural qualities. According to the International Resource Panel's Metal Stocks in Society report, the global per capita stock of aluminium in use in society (i.e. in cars, buildings, electronics etc.) is 80 kg (180 lb). Much of this is in more-developed countries (350–500 kg (770–1,100 lb) per capita) rather than less-developed countries (35 kg (77 lb) per capita). Knowing the per capita stocks and their approximate lifespans is important for planning recycling.

Recovery of the metal via recycling has become an important use of the aluminium industry. Recycling was a low-profile activity until the late 1960s, when the growing use of aluminium beverage cans brought it to the public awareness.

Q:OkayYesterday i posted many questions about thisMy spark plug broke inside the cylinder! I bought some Champion plugs, after only 1,200 they were misfiring i noticed they were extremely worn! So i took them out and replaced them with motorcraftYet on one cylinder the plug broke and, as i tried to remove the remnants of the plugs, the hex came off along with the remainder of the plug, only leaving the thread ring and the gap in the cylinder! I am afraid pieces of metal fell into the cylinder! Not only that, even with an easy out thing i can't remove the old thread! Its lodged in there! The car is a 2001 Ford WindstarAnd in reality i can't afford to have the whole engine taken apartFord engineered these cars so its nearly impossible to access the rear plugs! And champion plugs are a POS! What can i do!gt;!?!
the windstar uses aluminum headsthe threads of the plugs should have been first coated with anti sieze before u installed themthe anti sieze stops the threads from galling and makes for easier removalsteel and aluminum combined with extremely hot cyl temps of 1,000 degrees or more don't mix.for longthe anti sieze makes a buffer between the two and helps them survive together in harmonythe threads of the broken plug have galled the openingthat means the threads in the head will now need re-tappedhead must come offthere is a tool to get the thread ring out, but if parts of the plug have gone down into the cylinder the head should be removedleaving any metal in there will cause that metal to be crushed when the piston comes up and the valve is going down and can bend the valve causing mucho denero to need to be spenttake it to a repair shop with a tow rope or on a hook, not by driving itford engineered special tools that u and i don't have to remove those plugsthe ford dealer shops have these toolsnot meaning to be nasty here, but the $75-$100 u would have paid them to do this job in the first place would have far been cheaper than what it will now cost and they would have used motorcraft plugswhen it became nearly impossible to get to the plugs, thats when i would have stoppedsorry.
Q:A while ago I read in a herb book that there was quite a bit of aluminum in green teaIs this true?
lol no clue that was wierd
Q:Whenever i see a commercial for a movie coming out on dvd its like quot;out on dvd and blu rayquot; and i never new what blu ray was exactly, is it a kind of HD thing?
Blu-Ray is the newest generation of mainstream home video media, just as DVDs were in the late '90s and early '00s and VHS was in the mid-'80sBlu-Ray is an optical media just like DVDs: a round aluminum and polycarbonate disc which is read by a laserThe laser in Blu-Ray players is a violet color (hence the name Blu-Ray) as opposed to the red color used in DVD playersBlu-Ray discs have a much greater storage capacity than DVDs, and the movies are high-definition 1080p resolution (1920x1080) as opposed to enhanced-definition resolution of DVD (720x480) and the standard-definition or low-definition resolution of VHSSo the picture is much more detailed on Blu-Ray discs, but only when displayed on a high-definition TV, monitor, or projectorBlu-Ray discs also can carry up to 7.1 channel audio, versus 5.1 for DVDsBlu-Ray discs cannot be played in DVD players, but DVDs can be played in Blu-Ray players.
Q:What is the relevance of the arrangement of electrons around the nucleus?
if its cheap, its cheap for a reasonplastic + heat
Q:i see the guys on american chopper using what i guess is an impact hand drill to put holes in steel framesI use long tubing and the impact drill would save me a lot of time.
You don't want to use an impact to drill withIf your part is small enough to fit on a drill press then drill it there, you will get a straighter hole than with any hand toolIf your part is too large for a drill press, use any kind of hand drill (air, corded, cordless), you wont need anything too heavy duty for aluminum (it's pretty soft metal)Just make sure that you have a good sharp bit and use plenty of oil to prevent gallingIf you tubing is that long, you might think about getting a roller conveyor or two to help support it while you are using the drill pressIt might save you some time.
Q:I'm looking to see what other options I can do career wise my skills include-mig arch steel aluminum welding / fabricating-minor carpentry -air plumping and valve systems-abs -12 volt electrical wiring and lighting -heavy duty mechanics - work experiencemany years in the tractor trailer repair industry such hard times in the economy right now any thoughts?
get two bowls that are the same and use them as a moldsmash the foil between the two so that it takes the shape of the bowl.
Q:I had one a long time ago and it has a great smellI just remember that it had an aluminum cigar shape case with Ben Franklin on it and the Cologne bottle was brown and looked like a cigarI just want to know the name of the brand if anyone knows what I am talking aboutI'm guessing that they are rare or to me they are because I can never find them.
You can buy crock pot smokies frozen at the supermarketThere's no way to tell them apart from the homemade ones and they never result in leftoversI'm confused as to what you're asking for because you said non packaged ideas please, but you also don't like the idea of cooking something, and people taking [your] word that everything was sanitizedSo is it packaged or not?
Q:Is there a way pick up aluminum pieces with a magnet or some sort. Help!! There are aluminum pieces inside the case of my brothers yz250f and he needs another way to check and make sure there are no pieces left. He's flushed it with the lowest weight oil he could find.
Nope. Aluminum is non-magnetic. If the pieces were sufficiently large, one could move them with a strong alternating field which would set off eddy currents. But that won't work on tiny shavings. Guess he will have to flush again and again and hope for the best.
Q:I have started to upgrade a somewhat beginner hard tail mountain bikeI have just added some really nice rock shox, pedals, not much elseI would like to upgrade to some shimano deore xt derailleurs for front and back, as well as some new wheelsIDKWhat do you think of the xts? Are they really good? Thanks!
