- its not worth it to boil first and then try and extract the resinit is possible but its a LOT more work. Personally i would recommend scraping first, then once your satisfied with how much resin you've gotten out you can boil it to get it super clean. The reason boiling first is not the best idea is because when you boil it the resin loosens and ends up in the water, so then you have to strain the water through coffee filters and then let the resin dry on like a paper towel or something. were as if you scrape first you already have all the resinand it shouldnt be too wet (maybe a little) but not to bad. then you just boil the pieces to make sure they are really clean.

- Q: Resin pigments are too expensive so I googled some cheaper alternatives. Some people recommend using oil colors and some acrylic. Dunno, mixing acrylic paints in resin doesn't sound right to me. I already have both acrylic and oil colors but this is my first time working with resin so your answer will save me from making some rookie mistakes.
- Superglue is fine for resin. For preparing Forgeworld miniatures, you should have a good craft knife and a razor saw as the minimum. Resin dust is carcinogenic, so you will also need to wear a dust-mask and work in a well-ventilated area when prepping. All resin miniatures need to be washed in warm, soapy water prior to painting. The high level of detail on FW miniature in particular makes them prone to excess material, flash and mould lines and you should carefully inspect each model as you clean it. I personally do any sawing at the same time as cleaning in the water. This not only softens the resin to make sawing easier, it also keeps the dust wet, preventing it from flying around, making a mess or getting into lungs it shouldn't.
