- Q: So, a few months back I purchased a 100 lb heavy bag (Everlast 100 year anniversary bag) and have been using it without gloves. I only use wraps when my knuckles got cut, however, the skin seems to have healed and has not cut since then. I only work the heavy bag 2 times per week focusing on power and technique. I was actually able to put dents into the bottom portion of the bag going full force without experiencing pain. I am not training to compete in the ring, I am training for self defense purposes and would not want my hand to break if I was to punch a solid surface without gloves or wraps. I only wear gloves when sparring.
- You can get a new one for around 5 or 6 dollars. If you're loosing sleep over it, just replace it. They're easy to stop - just a tad harder than before. Now they won't close or fit without a 9 volt battery installed, so you have to install a dead one now. Too many people were removing the batteries and not replacing them. Actually, if it is beeping - and even though it went off after it stared beeping - it's likely that is the designed behavior. They would design it to warn you a little bit ahead of time and not when it would stop functioning in 12 hours. You know the battery is fine - how? By pushing the test button on the detector. That only checks that the detector works, which it will - even for a month or two - maybe even 3. After the battery low starts beeping. Buy a brand new name brand 9 volt battery and try that. Miscellaneous: Somebody told me on some A/C ones I have that the 1/2 life of the radioactive element that's used to detect the smoke only lasts so long and (well, yes it would) anyway making it almost useless after 10 years or so. I had another one near the bathroom that beeped whenever someone opened the door after a shower and the steam came out. Wow! A bunch of people here who never inhaled that's for sure! If cigarettes don't set them off, pot smoke sure isn't going to unless you're blowing it right into the detector or it's a party and you can't see across the room for the pot smoke.
- Q: How much would it cost to install Fire Alarms in a Correctional Facility?
- Well a Vacuum wont do much good, with dog hair. But you can use a lint roller or the cheaper alternative a bit of sticky tape wrapped around your hand palm with the sticky side on the outside. And then just go over the affected areas and pick up the hair. Or use a paint roller ( with an extension stick, so you dont have to bend over or kneel all the time ) and wrap sticky tape around the roll, same principal! Then just roll away! This method is certainly cheaper then buying a lint roller, you can use for just a little while!
- Q: I have trouble getting up and set my alarm sometimes. But if I'm lucky, only once a week does it actually wake me up! And I have it on every day, and then I hit ok or whatever and then hours later when I wake up - I can't remember it! My brother told me he heard my alarm, saw me sit up and turn it off and then go back to sleep. It freaked me out at once because he said my moves were 'ghostly' like. Like I was possessed and didn't know what I was doing, but my mum reminded us that as a child I sleep walked and did these things, I remember sometimes because I'd wake up on the floor and stuff. But anyway, how can I make myself used to my alarm to actually get off my lazy a** and wake up instead of turning the alarm off?
- With fibre glass you need to mix up gel coat with hardener in the right proportions. But before you attempt any thing like what your trying to achieve, you first have to highly polish the surface that your trying to copy once this has been achieved then you have to apply a releasing agent to the to be copied surface. Once you have done this then you can apply the gel coat. Once it has seat the mix up a batch of resin hardener again to the right consistencies apply it to your project. You may have to cover the project many times with resin along with fibre glass clothe to totally support your new mould you may need to attach some ply wood as extra stiffness mould fibre glass clothe around that with resin. After a full day after allowing it to go hard then you can try removing your mould from what your trying to copy. A rubber mallet normally works fine. This only gives you the outside of what your trying to copy. Then you need to make a plug a plug is the same replica of your original project it's this that you finally copy for any future copies of what your trying to copy! ' It can be a drawn out process that can take a couple of weeks. Watched my son do it copying a surf ski! The releasing agent was the crucial thing, co's if you can't release the mould from the project your trying to copy then you are in deep shite! Cheers!!
- Q: What's the general price of resin lenses?
- Some of the production and sales of manufacturers to expand the market in recent years, resin lens, lens coating, resin has launched hard, ultra smooth process, characteristic but still can not fundamentally change the texture of "delicate" resin lens. So, to prevent the resin lens prematurely because of "Scar" with tips and fluff flowers, is a word - "should not wash clean".
- Q: whats the best way to get the old batts insulation out of the ceiling and disposed of properly.?
- Hi, .for pendants, photos, etc) for the info/videos/etc on kind of thing I think you may be trying to do, and for more info on sealing (though other info on sealing at various places on rest of page too try a Ctrl + F search for the word SEAL) .
- Q: I want to get a custom bit for my mare. She needs a rubber bit due to jaw issues (she has TMD and rubber is very comfortable for her, metal bits make her toss her head so I assume they hurt). I would like a bit which is a rubber D-ring with two links and a roller. I can't find any of those from major bit companies. She's also kind of an awkward size, the ideal bit size for her is between 5 and 5 1/2 which is hard to find. She is currently in a rubber D-ring snaffle, but I would like a roller in the bit too.How much would that cost, and does anyone have any recommendations for companies? I've never had a custom bit made before.
- Well, RESIN is any number of substances and is defined thus: 1) Any of numerous clear to translucent yellow or brown, solid or semisolid, viscous substances of plant origin, such as copal, rosin, and amber, used principally in lacquers, varnishes, inks, adhesives, synthetic plastics, and pharmaceuticals. 2) Any of numerous physically similar polymerized synthetics or chemically modified natural resins including thermoplastic materials such as polyvinyl, polystyrene, and polyethylene and thermosetting materials such as polyesters, epoxies, and silicones that are used with fillers, stabilizers, pigments, and other components to form plastics. Epoxy Resin is a TERRIFIC glue except on very porous materials. Now, it will really depend on WHAT type of Resin you have, and the materials you're seeking to glue together. GOOD LUCK. Let us know if you have something specific in mind.
- Q: What's the difference between plastic and resin?
- It can be said that plastic is resin, and resin is plastic. Thus, the resin is one of the raw materials of plastic, plastic is the finished product of resin. In other words, the resin is not formed and molded into plastic.
- Q: Epoxy resin conductive, do not let it conductive, can you?
- Epoxy resin paint is needed to prevent static electricity. It is necessary to buy special anti-static floor paint of epoxy resin. This kind of floor paint is divided into two kinds:1, general anti-static floor, usually add conductive powder2, self leveling anti-static flooring, generally are adding conductive fiber. The main application scene of anti-static floor:Computer room, precision instrument production workshop, etc.
- Q: I want to buy a set of Vision Wheels (rims) it says they are machined faced and they have a bit of gloss black paint on sides. I want them to be alloy so they won't rust like chrome will. I have tried searching google but can't find a straight answer. Here's a link to the ones I'm looking at :)
- Resin is a general term. What you have may not be intended for the purpose you propose; it may shrink/crack/peel. And yes, resin requires a hardener to activate it. Combining the two creates a chemical reaction that hardens the resin. You could try on one piece and wait a bit to see the result. If you like it, you could do more. But be warned. The results could change over time.
- Q: As a student what strategies & techniques you use in information retrieval on the internet?
- The first answer is really good, this is just a note on why the coil is a really bad idea. Lightning has a lot of high voltage and has an alternating current part since it's high frequency noise although the main current is direct current, that's why it's dangerous. If you put a coil in there these resist the current flow due to the high frequency noise so will heat up the wire far more than a straight wire. In the case of lightning this will likely mean it'll melt, breaking the circuit to ground so the lightning will jump to something else that conducts better.
