- It probably is not possible with a stud finder. A concrete wall if it was poured and had the wire in it was probably in conduit. If it was in PVC conduit, you might get a circuit tracer to work through the concrete but I doubt it. Typical way is to look at the as built prints and try to find where the conduit runs are located. Even then, the prints may or may not be accurate. The only way to know for sure is to open the wall and look. This is a lot of work and expensive. An experienced electrician may be able to guess where the runs might be and where they might not from experience and the way conduit is located during construction. That is if it was installed by a professional and they did it the easiest way during new construction.
