Q: Ok so today i went to Fry‘s and got a new stereo deck in my car and got it installed. Only problem is that the alarm i guess became disabled. So i showed it to the installers before i left and they were trying to feed me some bs like yeah maybe u should upgrade your alarm, its not working, or i cant find the button this, that whatever. So i located the valet button held onto it for 5 sec with the car on(before you start the engine) and the alarm made its chirping sound along with the headlights/dash flashing. So that obviously means i still have a alarm system that‘s functional. But now I guess when i use my remote it wont function how do i reprogram it? should i take it to a shop to reprogram it? also the alarm is a brand called chapman on a 99 civic thanks.
Iron is found on all levels of rock, it is particularly present on calls walls, try exploring cave systems and should find some in no time
Q: Help my car alarm removal !?
Hay leave it just like it is your in good shape. The golden rule If it works.don't fix it ! If you go down clay road to Fry towards 10 there are a couple of tint/alarm shops. U get in trouble they sell new alarms installed $39-Up. Alarms are just trouble, after a year or sobut folks like the new toy, thing on their cars. Your in goood shape now.and your car runs fine, your lucky. (Houston-Moray F)
Q: i have a 2001 pontiac grand am GT and i recently bought some subwoofers and would like the best but most affordable 2-way car alarm system for my grandam to protect my goods. Please give ideas and tips on whats good and whats not. thanks.
It's the at all times most will take issue with. Myself - do it at smooth intersections, in close traffic, riding w/ squids, etc. No one close out on the superslab - I'm thinking more about whats for dinner.
Q: I left my lights on at school! and my alarm was set! my car keeps going off and the alarm is not making the sound is usually does its a dei does anyone know what i can do?
If it is making a very muffled sound, like a sock in the siren, then your batter voltage is probally below the 10.5-11 volts needed for it to operate properly. Your car will still run with the alternator, but when its sitting still, the battery just does not have enough juice. Definitely time for a new battery or charge.
Q: Its a 95Golf GTI and the alarm wont stop how do i disconnect theanti theft alarm
Firstly disconnect the battery and then reconnect. Then, take it in to a Volkswagen dealershipend of story. Don't trust people with your car, they'll do more damage than good, take it to the dealer, it will either be free or a nominal fee. good luck
Q: I am going to put my truck in storage. It has a Sidewinder 5000 alarm. I am not going to arm the alarm so it will be off. If the battery runs down could it still trigger the alarm even if it is off? Thanks
If you are storing your vehicle, you should either use a low amp battery charger, or even just disconnect the battery all together. There are other variables depending on storage time, location, and conditions. If you need or want more complete storage information, please include details such as your location, the storage facility, indoors or out, the estimated time frame for storage, and any more information. This will help get you a better informed and more accurate and complete answer.
Q: There is an auto alarm that has auto start that actually start a manual transmition car?
um probably not since they would start in gear and drive lol. or how would they be able to push in the clutch? you want your car to drive off without you in it or what? lol
Q: My car alarm keeps going off randomly would it help to replace the fuse or should i just disable it??
i say take it to the dealer and have them check it out. My neighbor's car alarm is constantly going off but i would prefer that over someone breaking into someone's car. If its an easy fix i say fix it! Hopefully my neighbor will do that soon as well :)
Q: I have a car with an after market car alarm. I do not know the type of alarm, as it was already installed when I got the car. The toggle switch under the dash (kill switch?) has come off leaving two wire ends. The car will not start and only the lights flash as if the alarm is active. How can I fix the problem to get the car started? I tried pig tailing the wire ends together with no luck. I welcome any suggestions.
Sound like there is something wrong with the wiring. If you are not familiar with car alarm wiring, either bring it to a auto shop or get some mechanic off craigslist to come take a look Shouldn't be that hard to fix but it is impossible to troubleshoot for you without a picture or something that show the wiring
Q: So, I bought a 1996 Range Rover 2 weeks ago at an auto auction. I had it towed home (due to a flat). I was able to start it with a jump. It‘s been 2 weeks, and it won‘t start now. The battery is holding juice, but it‘s failing to starting now. I need to add that I recently removed the window, as the tract was broken, and I wanted to drive it without worrying about breaking the glass. So, when I try to start it the alarm goes off, and the dash is telling me that there is an air bag fault and the engine has been disabled. It‘s also telling me about the window. My question. What do I do now? How can I get it to start? Am I totally screwed? I bought this thing for $1,700 (it books for over $4,000) with the intention of fixing it up a bit and making some money. Do I just cut my losses?(feel free to e-mail me if you can help)
Since you were able to start it with a jump, I don't think your alarm is the problem, but could be. You'll have to do some digging to see how the alarm is wired - maybe into the ignition system. Go online and see if you can get an owner's manual on your particular model. Disabling the alarm may not help. You may have to disconnect it or jumper the two wires (or more) than control the ignition system. Is the engine cranking over with some vigor or barely turning over. If barely turning over, the battery is not holding enough juice The air bag fault won't keep the engine from starting. You should be able to get everything working for about $1500 if you do the work yourself. Get a pro to do the air bag.
