PICTURE OF OUR WORKSHOP
- Q: Ford Ranger XLT 2004
- A car alarm won't stop your vehicle getting broken into, and smart thieves will throw stones at cars with alarms to create false alarms until you either shut it off, or start ignoring it. Move, get a garage, have a motion-sensitive floodlight, or sit outside with a baseball bat / shotgun / hunting rifle until they come past! As the other person said, it varies a lot with quality of the alarm and how much labour you get charged, but expect to pay a good few hundred $ for something worthwhile. Make sure you have nothing on display in the car which they might want to get at!
- Q: My alarm has been randomly going off once every four days. Some one told me to change the battery in my key-lesss remote, which I did. But it still went off. Can some one please help me figuring out what‘s wrong with my alarm. Thank you.
- check your bonnet and make sure its firmly closed, also try to access the car as if you where going to steal it (wind the window down arm it stick your arm in and pull the bonnet lever and see if it goes off. if it goes of just as you pull the bonnet lever under the console its got another problem that may cost you no more than 200 for a top unit with auto window closers. good luck
- Q: We have 3 cars and all of them recently got broken into on the same night. My dads window is completely smashed there‘s nothing left of it. None of the car alarms went off. This happenes every time our cars get broken into, which is around every two months. My mom got locked out of her car once and she called CAA to open it for her. As soon as they got the door unlocked, the alarm went off. Can you please explain this to me? Neither my mom or I understand why this is.
- It is rough to say for sure. Surely, if this used to be a random target, then the generally won't be again. They might fear that the following time they came, you would be waiting or observing. In the event that they failed to in finding whatever useful they'll in most cases depart you by myself, for the reason that if they don't get whatever then it's not valued at the hazard of getting caught.
- Q: i have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee. it has a brand new duralast Battery. it still has the stock alarm. it goes of at different times. the last time it went off was last night around 2 am. please help me. i dont wanna get up in the middle of the night thinking they are steeling my car. i have the audio system upgraded but it doesn‘t drag out a lot of the battery power.
- car alarm wont go off just by touching the car.sounds like you need to quit getting people mad at you.
- Q: This has happened the last couple days and it keeps going off for no reason. I have no idea why?
- Put the right wheels on it.
- Q: does it start your car or is it to just have a panic modegt;
- rear the description on it. if it has remote start in the title, most likely it has a remote start. alot of the time after market kits like this come with an alarm system and a remote start.
- Q: hello I recently bought a new car and im looking for a custom alarm system that will be a head turner. im looking for a car alarm system that will sound like the atomic nuclear siren every time someone trys to break into my car again
- its almost impossible to find them cheaper than 30 dollars, the lowest i seen them was 32 dollars online. just google them to find a distributor online
- Q: This afternoon, I heard a car alarm going for about 15 minutes. (Yep, very annoying! heh) It‘s the type that‘s tied in to the car‘s horn, so that when the alarm goes off, it makes the horn honk/beep every second or so. I‘ve heard that car horns draw a lot of electricity from the battery, so I wondered how long an alarm of this type would have to keep going, before it resulted in a dead battery? Minutes? Hours? Also, would this cause the horn to burn out, or would that only happen if the horn was making one solid blare of noise with no breaks in-between?As usual, just curious! :)
- it would take quite a while for just the horn to wear down the battery. the horn doesn't draw that much current especially in short blasts. I think the horn will start to make some funny sounds if it were to go off continuously. Usually, alarms have a timer in them so it should shut off automatically after a while if it is not reset. If it were flashing the parking lights also it would draw the battery down faster but still your talking many hours of the horn honking to drain a battery.
- Q: ok i have a 99 nissan altima. n it dont wanna start i put the key in but it dont even let me turn the key. it just goes in but dont turn at all. i changed the battery n everything. when i bought the car it had an alarm but i dont have the remote for it please help me how do i make it start??????????
- it might be something witht he ignition,if its like most alarms it the alarm horn will be by the battery find the main power wire and cut it and the alarm it self will be diabled if it has an igntion chip which has to be inserted to start the car you might be in trouble and might need to get the car rewired
- Q: Wouldn‘t you look up if you heard a car yelling help me, help me, I‘m being stolen?
- I would. I might even crinkle my forehead and nose trying to figure out what was going on. What if a car's alarm could yell at the person trying to steal it? Muthaf*****! Get your broke zz hands of me!
