- practice, do your friends cars, people want alot of successes. if 2 people are just as good but one has done say 50 more installs then i would pick him since he got experience even though your just as good.
- Q: if the bateries in my remote alarm thing on my keychain died, (i dont know what they are really called) i would unlock my car with the key. but the car alarm will go off. so how would i turn the alarm off within the car? do i put the keys in the ignition? or push the unlock button? or what? i have a 2006 nissan altima. any help would be appreciated. thanks!
- Really most cars' alarms can be silenced by putting the key in the ignition and either turning it to RUN or starting the vehicle. I have unlocked a Tahoe from the inside when I forgot my keys in it (Good thing I left a window down), and it ended in a headache. Just turn the key in the ignition and it should silence it.
- Q: my parents like to set the car alarms on at night on the cars parked in the driveway. (so they could hear if i take them out).can someone please tell me how to dissable the alarm. i have both the regular car key and the remote.PLEASE HELP!
- if you mean when you use the remote the sound of the alarm dis-arming will wake them, then theres nothing you can do, you need the alarm off to disconnect the siren, the only thing is if you have a chance at some other time while the alarm is off during the day or what ever to disconnect the siren, once that is done you just have to dis-arm the alarm and the indicators will just blink with no sound, but obviously your parents will notice this if they use the car there is a few morale concerns though dude, what if the car gets stolen one night, the insurance could be void because the alarm was tempered with, not to mention deceiving your parents, if they wake and see the car is gone they could report it stolen and even if they decide to not press charges you could still be arrested for auto theft, also, they might not have insurance for younger/other drivers.
- Q: i have a 98 Ford Escort and had an alarm installed for me in 07 and late 08 i had my starter replaced twiced by this guy and he said it could be the alarm so i go to where i installed my alarm and they were cool enough to replace the whole alarm since i had lifetime warranty with them and recommended me to another place for electrical car work and so i go therre and they replaced the starter and 3 mts later my car doesnt want to start at times or takes about 3 turns or more of the key to finally start it made a (du-dish) (du-sih) something like that and just had my starter replaced with the 2nd mechanic witht them a 2nd luckily i had a yr warranty and is working great ritenow and hopefully stays like that i just want to know can me alarm wat may be makin my starter defective after a few mts or just bad luck or something else?hope to get some help

- Q: How can i disable a crimestopper alarm system. It is really annoying when it goes off, and it is starting to short out and just go off for no apparent reason. I want it off. Is it getting it‘s power from the fuse box, or somewhere else? Please help.
- I have installed these before, You can disconnect either the positive or negative and thus cut polarity but then you are not going to be able to start your car. Look under your dash above your feet, You will see a little module you can pull the in line fuses thus eliminating electrical current.More than likely they are tapped into 12v+ on your main ignition harness and not your fuse box. But most important you will find two wire a White wire and a White w/red stripe, follow these leads. I guarantee they trace back to a cut starter wire. In order for your car to start, you have to put them two wires back together or cut them out and put your original starter wire back together. I highly recommend soldering your connection. Personally I would ensure that the ground is good and turn up the sensitivity on the shock sensor. generally the sensor is zip tied to the steering column. - Q: The stereo (a jvc radio installed a few years ago) froze as I was driving. I tried resetting it multiple times, but each time it would begin playing the cd from the beginning. - Almost dead accumulator. I have the same problem with my car right now. Radio is out and alarm works in a misterious way. But this is not the biggest problem, you see, then you drive accumulator should be charging, because car has a generator. So the problem is, that it doesn't charge. I would suggest to go to mechanic, but go with a friend, because you might need pulling.

- I wouldn't shine the whole tire. I usually take some amoral and a sponge. Spary two (per side) squrits on the sponge and work it on to the side walls.

- the front axle hooks to the wheel and the other end goes into the tranny, and when you put your car in gear, the tranny turns the axle and the axle turns the wheels and makes the car go. if the boot gets torn, then all the grease comes out and sooner or later it needs replacing.
