- Q: A fire hose ejects a stream of water at an angle of 32.0 ° above the horizontal. The water leaves the nozzle with a speed of 25.2 m/s. Assuming that the water behaves like a projectile, how far from a building should the fire hose be located to hit the highest possible fire?
- Can you mount it to the bottom of your seat? The one on the boat, that is. It would be close by, and out of the way.
- Q: My neighbour's car makes a weird squealing noise when it's just sitting on the curb, turned on. I don't know if it's in park or what, but it's a strange noise.almost the squealing you hear when someone burns out and spins their tires (gassing it with their foot on the brake). But they're not doing that.they just turn the cat on and sit for a minute, sorting out whatever they're doing in the car, then it stops as they finally start driving away. Why is it making that weird sound?
- This is my area of expertise (jewelry!) Generally speaking, highly diffused light is better for reflective materials (there are exceptions). However, managing reflections often winds up mattering more than the quality of the light. Thus jewelry is typically shot in some sort of tent to make a uniform (usually white) reflection on the metallic surface. It is vital to carefully control the angle at which light is hitting the reflective surface. For your cell-phone LCD, if the light is hitting at a direct angle, the light source may be reflected on the surface of the screen, obscuring the display. An oblique angle will help alleviate this issue, even if you are using hard light. So you could shoot your cell phone with highly diffused light, but in this case (high-tech electronics) I'd probably look at a hard-light creating sharply delineated shadows, but with the source hitting the screen on a very acute angle and thus not reflecting back into your lens much.
- Q: How do mirrors work?
- I think the biker look is kinda sexy, but not everyone can pull the look off.
- Q: Sorry for my english. What is the function of Catalyst on Poly Casting Resin ??? Does every one knows if the resin once is dryed is heat resistent??
- If you can find a bulb of that wattage, chances are the wiring system is going to handle it with no problem. I don't know how much reserve your electrical system has though. The problem with charging systems is that at idle of low engine speeds, the alternator doesn't make enough current to meet the needs of the electrical system. The battery then discharges current into the system to meet the needs. On little bikes, midrange engine speeds usually meet the electrical needs but not much more. At high engine speeds, the alternator produces more current than needed, which isthen controlled by the regulator. I imagine your bike can meet the extra load unless you do a lot of idling or putt-putting around. However, I wouldn't try to go with the more normal 55/60 watt bulb found on bigger bikes. A 45 watt bulb isn't going to burn the reflective material off the shell. I run a 100 watt bulb on my bike with no problems.
- Q: protective coating for inside aluminum tool boxes?
- Black is a very good absorber of infra red radiation ie from the sun or an infra red space heater. It's not going to act as a heat sink for your room, as the temperature of the curtain and the room will always tend to equilibrium. There's nowhere for that heat energy to go except remain within the room. In addition, if you do not line the black curtain with a reflective material eg white fabric or aluminum foil on the street side, your black curtain will make the room hotter due to increased solar absorption If you were just referring to the extent to which your decor would be enhanced by leather curtains, probably only in 1976
- Q: i have a 1999 toyota 4runner, my problem is, after i took out the ignition lock cylinder, there is another piece in there, it is a male part that adapts to the female igntion lock cylinder to crank the engine, i took that piece out with some tweezers and found that that piece snapped! a little part broke off and its stuck in a hole thing. can anyone tell me what this piece is called so i can replace it? and how do i get the broken piece out? its stuck in a hole
- They have already done that with the HANS device. I think I'd pick fan safety, the drivers, pit crews, and officials knew what they signed up for. The fans can expect on the outside that maybe, just maybe, something weird will happen. But they are not trained to react to a tire flying at them, etc.
- Q: speed up and pretend it is one of you ex's. If not you have to try it one time, it actually feels really great.
- I have something similar only bigger (dog size) - a mat with reflective material inside the fabric. My cats won't sleep anywhere else anymore.
- Q: I recently got a suburban from an auction. It has a code alarm system. I think it's the Pro-3500 or something. Anyway, the alarm seems to lock the engine. I pull a few fuses from the alarm then put them back and the truck starts. I tried taking the alarm out but then the truck won't start. Is there a way to get rid of the alarm and be able to start the truck? Or would I have to find a remote somwhere.
- Flamethrowers have a hell of a kickback, almost like a firehose. If you're unprepared for it, heaven help you and anyone around you.
- Q: I'm printing a lot of stuff today and my printer which is an Image-Runner C3170U and im using auto stack bypass with 11x17 papers and It takes them but it keep like slipping or not being able to pull them in for some reason.
- If the Hawks could have traded the rights to sign him in 48 hours, then I am slightly disappointed. If they had to sign him first before trading him, then I understand why they did not. There is no guarantee some team is going to take Niemi from the Hawks and they can't be stuck with the cap hit. However a second or third round pick for Niemi would have been nice. Overall I am not pissed at anyone. Niemi is 27 years old and needs to maximize his money now. Just because of his age this is his best move financially. When he hits 30, who knows how much his skill will drop off and what he can get. Also, we have seen many goalies have a hot rookie year and then disappear into the wilds the year after. So with Niemi, I understand the need to get as much as he can.
- Q: My family possesses a roughly 100 year old fire extinguisher. It has a fairly thin cylindrical shape and contains a type of powder that will put out a fire if poured. It's full/never been used. We're all very curious about the value of it and are wondering if anyone can either point us in the right direction or even give an estimate of it's worth. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
- There is no one right fire extinguisher. A Co2 will remove the oxygen but if it is a fuel fire the fuel can just reignite. A chemical extinguisher will put out a fuel fire by smothering it but won't work on electrical an leaves one heck of a mess. Either type works on a electrical fire but you have to remove the source of the electricity first.
