Q: I am currently a t-mible cell phone user, way over two years. My cell phone is kinda getting old, so I want to get a new phone, and also I want to change my plan as well, still with t-mobile though. How do I do that? Will they require me to sign a new 2 yrs contract like new users do? Will they charge me activation fee again with a new phone even I am already a t-mobile user? Thanks.
You will have to pay a upgrade fee of $18.00. You should probably upgrade before att fully controls tmobile so you can get a cheeper plan.
Q: Hello guys. I'd like to know how to dial Chinese mobile phone while being in China. Would you help me. Thanks!
Yeh I had this problem before to some one form turkey texted me at christmas and it cost me $1.50 to reply I didn't realise till it was too late. But I think its some one that's just got the wrong number and curious lol just put a bar on incoming foriegn calls Good luck :)
Q: I want to use my mobile phone to make a purchase using my credit card on a mobile website. I trust the website itself. However, should I trust the WAP technology? How likely is it (from a security pespective) that someone could steal my private information?
Online ordering has NEVER been secure. It doesn't need to be. The credit card companies are the ones who provide the useful security. Check to see what your fraud liability is, and what their policies are concerning it.
Q: does anyone know how much it will cost to turn on a t-mobile phone
What type of plan do you have? Didn't you find out when you purchased the phone?
Q: i have mobile phone tools but it dont work help ?and how do i have my default phone to be a razr v3 ??
If you have Motorola Mobile Phone Tools, you need to have some means of connecting the phone to the computer. You have three choices - Infrared, Cable and Bluetooth. Also, you need to have your phone enabled to allow data transfer. If you have Cingular service, this is enabled already, if Verizon, then you will have to get the data transfer unlocked. Once data transfer is unlocked, the Phone Tools program will walk you through the setup for the phone. If you can't figure this out, then you need to study the help file for the program and learn how to use it. I would normally be happy to tell you how to use it, but not knowing your computer and your phone, I can't. Good luck, feel free to email if you need more help or would like to convey more information.
Q: Based on the responses to my question, I compiled this list of mobile phone prefix numbers. Is the list complete / accurate ?Mobile Prefix NumbersSmart ------------909910918919920921928929Globe --------------905906915916917926927Sun ---------------922923Thank you.
You did a pretty good job there. Only thing I can see is 912 for Smart missing from your list. Here's what Wikipedia has Express Telecom: 973, 974 Globe Telecom: 905, 906, 915, 916, 917, 926, 927 Next Mobile: 979 Smart Communications: 909, 910, 912, 918, 919, 920, 921, 928, 929 Sun Cellular: 922, 923 Phlippines Mobile phone area codes Mobile phone area codes are three digits long and always start with the number 9. Unlike fixed-line telephones, the long-distance telephone dialing format is always observed when using a mobile phone. Originally, there were only three area codes for mobile phones: 917 for Globe Telecom, 918 for Smart Communications and 973 for Express Telecom, the three existing mobile companies at the time. As service grew rapidly throughout the 1990s and even until today, new codes have been added to fulfill demand as existing codes have since been exhausted. Codes added usually come after the immediate last code exhausted, although this may not be the case when the next code is already in use. Areas codes are grouped by provider with no single contiguous block of codes for a single provider. These companies and their respective area codes are listed above.
Q: I have a business online which i need to put my mobile number onto. The thing is can i have a different number on my mobile that i can put online, which is linked to the same phone.Sorry i know you must be thinking WHY but i have my reasons. Thanks
nope you should just go get a cheap or used phone even though they will charge you for service you get the basic plan and most of the time if you don't buy a fancy phone after the rebate the phone its self is free
Q: I was wondering if you also could use a japanese mobile phone outside Japan? And I mean that someone from Japan comes in Europe and wants to call his family in Japan or something. Would it be possible to call with his mobile phone?Another thing:I got the fact about Japanese people sending each other emails rather than sms cuz it wouldn't fit with the kanji and such. But now I was wondering, what if they have like a friend from England who isn't able to send or receive email with his phone? Can the japanese guy that choose to sms him? I mean with the kanji it wouldn't matter because they'll have to communicate in English. Just wondering if the japanese people still use the sms function. Also if they send someone an email with their phone, is that person than able to see that email on his mobile phone AND on the computer? Or is the email address someone has on his phone completely different than the email address he had on his computer? So many questions ^^ Please give me loads of answers :)Thanks!
Yeah she is breaking up with you sorry!:(
Q: i want to buy a mobile phone for entertainment and internet use . Should i go for android os or windows mobile or nokia symbian?
Why not buy an iPhone 4? The internet experience on the iPhone is still superior to their competitors offerings. Next to this the build quality is fantastic. Nokia is not enough of a player anymore, the performance of their phones isn't on par with either iPhone and Android. Android is a great newcomer and the only real alternative to the iPhone. The devices however aren't as good as the iPhone 4 yet.
Q: Can anybody tell me if any of these T-Mobile phones can go on the internet for free through a wi fi connection using a wireless router?Nokia 5310Nokia 5610Nokia 6301Blackberry Pearl 8100Blackberry Pearl 8120Motorola ROKR E8If anyone has tried any of these phones, do any of them have slow internet if they even have it, or do you get a pretty fast, decent connection, or does it just depend on how fast your internet and router is? I've checked the T-Mobile website and tons of other sites and still can't figure it out. If a phone has Hotspot @ home service, then does that guarantee that it can also go on the internet through a wi fi connection using a wireless router for free?
Are these all T-mobile branded phones? If so, going to the Tmobile website should yield you results for each phone. It will specifically say WiFi capable if the phone has such capabilities. Off the top of my head, the Blackberry Pearl 8120 is the only one I know that has WiFi enabled. The 8100 regular does not. Again, you would have to look at each phone specifically and see if it's capable. If these are phones 1year old or more, then chances are they are not. If they're not Tmobile specific phones, you would have to go to the provider's website and look it up. Even if they're not Tmobile phones, you can use WiFi. I have the Blackberry Curve and the internet isn't as FAST as the iPhone but it's still pretty fast. I don't have much waiting times, especially using WiFi. If you subscribe to the Hotspot thingy, you can use the WiFi pretty much in any Tmobile hotspot and the best part is if you make phone calls in those wifi areas, it's FREE. Yup. Doesn't count off your regular minutes plan. And yes it's a guarantee that you'll get wifi if you're subscribed, unless your router dies or something.
