Q: If you were to give someone a paper crane with an ayat or hadith (has to be short, as I have to write on its wings)... what would you write?I was thinking of writing this:Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home. [13:24]I'm not sure though...lol. Any ideas? Salam.
Sister, I wouldn't advise you to write a verse or a hadith on it. I'm just saying because if you are going to give it to somebody, you never know if they'd take care of it or not. What if it ends up in the garbage or on the floor etc.. Just use a quote that you like. Salam :] ----- Well I have a list of quotes that can fit in a paper crane, I hope you find one of those you like. ===== One man with courage makes a majority.~~ Andrew Jackson “behind the mask of ice that people wear, lies a heart of fire”~~ Paulo Coelho Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow. ~Mary Anne Radmacher “pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever” ~~lance Armstrong “Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune--without the words, And never stops at all,” ~~ Emily Dickinson “Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.”lyn yutang The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for. Allan K. Chalmers Practice hope. As hopefulness becomes a habit, you can achieve a permanently happy spirit. -- Norman Vincent Peale We live by admiration, hope and love. -- William Wordsworth “Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged men who kept on working.” “What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise Oscar Wilde
Q: I would like to buy KATO crane and I have its serial number. I wonder how I can check with serial number if the crane is Originally Made in Japan! Which site should I go for checking? It will be great help if you answer my question.
I Googled KATO cranes and found several sites. Im sure there is one that can lead you to contact information w/ the company. I happen to be a self proclaimed BEST hyd. crane operator in the states. having logged several years experience. IF you need an operator for hyd. or static line. achd73 at yahoo TonytheTiger
Q: where does it live? what does it eat? How do you feel about it? (positive side)thank you! thank you! thank you!help!help!help!
In the spring and summer, the Red-crowned Crane breeds in Siberia and occasionally in northeastern Mongolia (i.e., Mongol Daguur Strictly Protected Area). Normally the crane lays 2 eggs, with only one surviving. Later, in the fall, it migrates in flocks to Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and other countries in East Asia to spend the winter. All Red-crowned Cranes migrate, except for a flock that is resident in Hokkaidō.
Q: this wind speed refers to that height of wind speed?
This is not on the project department climbed to tower crane to measure wind speed, regardless of height, is listening to the local meteorological station forecast, more than five winds, should stop working.
Q: A. Power LinesB. WaterC. FiresD. Overturns
Dangerous to whom and exactly what does overturns mean? Operators are most likely to be killed when a tower crane breaks (is this an overturn?) because the operator is several hundred feet up in the air in the cab. Hitting power lines can be risky to the operator if dumb but staying in the cab is likely to be safe (stepping out may kill in touching ground) Overturning a ground based crane is going to hurt someone in the area much of the time.
Q: are crane flies the most venomous insect in the world,or is this just an urban myth?
This one is definitely a myth, one that has been applied to both crane flies and the arachnids known as daddy longlegs (more properly known as Opilionids, or harvestmen). A simple fact of their biology can put this to bed: the adults of many species of crane fly don't even have mouth parts--the adult form is used soley for reproduction, with no time for food acquisition. Essentially, they mate and die. Production of a highly toxic venom is extremely energetically costly, and when they have no ability to inject it into anything (not even for self defense), it makes no sense for a life strategy. Common sense and simple observation will also tell you that this isn't true. There are stories all the time telling of people who have died from killer bees, or snake bites, or black widows, but when's the last time you saw a news bit on a crane fly fatality? I mean, news outlets, not to mention Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, *live* on stuff like this--yet I've yet to see a special entitled Crane Flies: Nature's Perfect Assassin. ;)
Q: Whenever a vista shot of London comes up, there are a ridiculous amount of cranes. What's up? Are they always building something?
At present a large number of tall buildings are being erected in London which accounts for the cranes. One area in particular is around Vauxhall, where there was an accident recently when a helicopter crashed into a crane being used for such a purpose. Just have a look at this www.guardian .uk/artanddesign/2...
Q: I want to make a sculpture out of 1,000 paper cranes. I have sometime to work on it, but not months. Has anyone ever known someone to do this, or done this themselves? How much time should I allow for such a project?
It depends on how big they are, and how fast you are at folding. If you can fold one crane a minute, 1000 minutes would translate to about 17 hours. How you then spread out 17 hours of paper folding is up to you.
Q: i cant find a poetry site that will let me read this portion of The Bridge, the epic poem. i need help
I okorder /.. Try searching lines from the poem if that doesn't work for you like imponderable the dinosaur sinks slow.
Q: I'm a little confused as to what the difference is between the crane and the flare boom-____- I'm thinking that the flare boom is what they use to burn off oil I there's a fire, but is that right? And what does the crane do?
Flares are used to burn off oil and gas that can not be transported to be processed without extensive costs. They can also be used at refineries as a safe way to release gas build ups in case of problems in the refining process occur. I imagine that a flare boom could be on the end of the crane but I know it's not always the case. The crane does what cranes do best... move things, usually from the ship to the platform or vise versa.
