- Q: I live on a 2nd floor apartment with gorgeous, huge, arched windows. Until a week ago, we had a lovely view of a tree-lined street in NYC, but my building just installed a scaffolding which almost acts as a balcony for us. - The scaffold is necesary, and already thre, and probably not coming down. I would think you have to LET the Land Lord give you a deal, and any decent LAnd Lord should respect wishes. You may have to move, but a deduction, possibly. Security, demand it ! Get the windows fixed, and if you are really unsure of the scaffold and window, get renters insurance, it's just twenty bux a month !. or buy a big DOG

- Number one: Never clean with peroxide, alcohol or neosporin. -Get yourself a nice antibacterial soap without lotions, dyes or scents. (Try Satin) As for sleeping, my suggestion is to bend your arm under your head in a triangle fashion and to keep your ear in the little hole so it won't be bothered much. Sea salt soaks! They can really change the healing process right around. They're easy to do and well worth the time. Good luck!

- They take 9-12 months to heal and an unhealed piercing should never be removed. Yes, you would experience issues. It would likely close or shrink in size or if it somehow didn't then you could easily cause infection, irritation, prolonged healing, hypertrophic scarring...nothing you should be willing to risk. 6 weeks is far from being long enough.
