Q: Which type of glue or past to past 2 plastic sheet.{ recycle sheet}to start a small Business
I would ask them at staples.
Q: How do plastic sheets compare to ABS sheets?
Plastic sheets and ABS sheets differ in terms of material composition and properties. ABS sheets are a specific type of plastic sheet made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, while plastic sheets refer to a broader category of sheets made from various types of plastics. ABS sheets are known for their high impact resistance, strength, and rigidity, making them suitable for applications that require durability, such as automotive parts and appliances. Plastic sheets, on the other hand, can vary in their properties depending on the specific type of plastic used. They can have different levels of flexibility, transparency, chemical resistance, and thermal stability. Therefore, the comparison between plastic sheets and ABS sheets largely depends on the specific requirements of the intended application.
Q: They smelled a little different than the surrounding fir and spruce trees but was still kind of a natural odor. The cardboard sheets were also wrapped in the white plastic lattice. Maybe they're something the forestry service uses? But for what??
possible it was the highly toxic insecticide they use to kill the ticks for a hundred yards radius .
Q: I want to shatter a piece of plastic to use for an art project. Is there a way to crack it into a web-like shape like this
Clear plastic usually won't shatter for any reason. Some kinds of plastics such as the kind used to make paint buckets will shatter after being stored a couple of years in a very hot shed. (How do you think I know that?) What you want to do is get a laminating kit. Office supply stores carry them. Stick a layer on both sides of thin glass and beat it into an artistic condition. Another technique that might work for you is to use art glass, commonly called stained glass. Break it into artistic shapes and tape together with masking tape on only one side. Then force clear silicon tub and tile sealer between the pieces. After it sets, strip off the tape and see what you have. Lastly, consider candy glass. It will shatter but it won't cut skin. When you see a movie where somebody is thrown through a window, that is candy glass. Ask at any stage supply store about that.
Q: What is acrylic? Is it plastic? What's the difference between good and bad?
Organic glass1 see material around four if skin side, not the rower2 the surface of paper produced by the recent general lossless breaking new plate paper is stuck.3 transparency and color brilliance. In the corner point and then molded materials open to the light or light, obviouslyIn the 4 corner point material torn paper, poor material surface will appear water and ice things, at a glance5 tolerance of material thickness. The naked eye can not see, it is best to use calipers, cards. (good material tolerance at pay 0.2MM)Almost the board is paying 0.8MM or so, hand touch can reflect the thickness tolerance.
Q: What I mean is like, is there anything else besides white, translusant, black or clear sheets of shrinky dinks/shrinkable plastic. And if so, where can a purchase them?
Are you talking about Shrink Wrap? If you are, yes they do. I've used green and red at christmas time and I used purple for a bridal shower a few weeks ago. Go to your local craft store and ask them to point you toward the shrink wrap.
Q: My son got his school pictures recently. Included was a sheet of plastic that had his picture on 3 bookmarks, 2 key chains and 2 wallet cards. My question is how did they do this? I would like to make them myself. I think they used some form of Dye Sublimation printing, but where did they get the perforated plastic sheets?
merlotony, okorder - this is just one of many companies that specialize in this process, but they were quite helpful in explaining the processes and options when I was starting to look into it. I hope this is helpful to you. Have a good one!
Q: I NEED TO MAKE A TORSO MANNEQUIN FORM FOR A POLE MOUNT APPLICATION TO DRAPE A MILITARY JACKET OVER AND WAS CONSIDERING AN UNKNOWN FLEXIBLE PLASTIC SHEET THAT I COULD ROLL AND WOULD HOLD ITS OWN SHAPE WHEN RIVETED. IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT DID NOT GIVE OFF A VAPOR THAT WOULD HARM THE FABRIC OVER TIME
But of course... First start with a little imagination ie. a flower vase. Next use a dremmel (sp.) to drill a hole a little lower than half way down. Next you will want to use a small hose of some sort to plug the hole. At the top of the vase you can easily just use foil and put the bowl on top and poke it thru the foil. Add water and smoke.
Q: In school we're making an experiment where you're going to put plastic sheet over for example a pear put not the top. When i did the experiment it seems like plastic sheet won't let the microwaves in, can someone explain to me why?
If you are coming to that conclusion, there is something very wrong with your experimental methodology. Without more detail, it's fairly pointless to speculate what the problem may be.
Q: I am making paintings (fine art) that can be painted and lifted like large decals. I have used 6 mil shipping plastic, This works great, but is hell to format and non-permanent. I need to identify and locate a more stable substitute. (Clear plastic sheeting; large solid sheets that watersoluble paint will peel off of.)I would think the same thing tupperware is made of (polypropylene), but cannot find it in flat clear sheets. Does anyone know what the clear painters pallettes are made of (melamine?) and if it is sold in sheets to the public? I have been trying to put a finger on this for over 2 years--any help or leads out there?thanx
get a sheet of glass my friend and tape the edges in a good duct tape-also you can go to a plastics store and buy sheets of acrylic. Different thickness', different prices of course-buy something small-you can also go to crafts stores to buy pre-cut to use instead of glass in frames-check it out, I bet it will work. Worth a couple $$ to know-
