- It mostly depends on which paint colour you have chosen and there is also the material of the mosaic to consider, you can get glass mosaics, which have a reflective finish or stone/ceramic mosaics which have a more matted finish. You can even get metal mosaics nowadays. Also the room in which you are putting the mosaic in is important, and the location is it a feature wall, or just a border?
