- Q: How are plastic tubes measured and specified?
- Plastic tubes are typically measured and specified based on their outer diameter (OD), inner diameter (ID), and wall thickness. These measurements are crucial in determining the tube's size, strength, and suitability for specific applications. Additionally, other specifications such as the material composition, maximum operating temperature, and pressure rating may be provided to ensure the tube meets the desired requirements.
- Q: What's the meaning of the laying of brick and concrete structures with concealed pipes?
- The wires are laid in bricks or concrete. If it is concrete, it is buried before pouring and tamping; the brick will be buried after the masonry is finished, and then the slot will be repaired.
- Q: I remember 35 years ago, when all the uproar was made about aluminum or metal filings were found inside toothpaste tubes. %Health issues were raised about the residual filings in the base of toothpaste tubes for people who press the last nth of toothpaste from the tube.I'm researching about this concern in the plastic and other material-type tubes used nowadays. How SAFE / secure can we be (is there a watchdog org?) to Q.C. this safety-issue in the commercial brands of toothpaste nowadays?I use a tube-wringer on my toothpaste tubes so I get the last nth of toothpaste from each tube and I am curious how SAFE a practice this is.
- There's no way to remove all toxins from anything manufactured. If however, you are simply brushing your teeth with the toothpaste and not actually consuming it, I think you'll be ok. Afterall, the metal, aluminum or plastic filings (if swallowed) would only pass through your digestive course. Should harm occur it would likely be in a circumstance where there was already an issue, i.e. ulcers, diverticuli, etc. On the other hand, if you WERE to ingest fluoridated toothpaste you could become gravely ill on consumption of fluoride alone. Long story short: I think you'll be ok.
- Q: Does the bass get bigger or smaller when you have a bigger or smaller plastic tube that goes in your subwoofer box
- Yes. The plastic tube is called a 'Port'. Its length and diameter are calculated to allow the speaker enclosure to breathe correctly. When music is playing, the speaker travels outwardly AND inwardly. When it moves it compresses air in the box. The compressed air actually restricts the movement of the speaker cone. This will affect the speakers response, especially at sub frequencies. So, the tube is designed to allow air to escape from the box thereby limiting air compression in the box. They are tuned to both the speaker and the box. If you remove the tube you can expect to hear undesirable speaker 'Waffling at high volume levels. Experiment for yourself. Remember, you may not notice much difference at low volume levels. Once you increase the volume and get the box really working, you will definitely notice a difference.
- Q: what cage should i get for my teddy bear hamster? plastic with tubes or wire with platics bottom?
- We just got our new (FIRST) hammy and when I was researching (and asking here) what type of cage is best...the suggestion of using a basic glass 10gal aqarium was very HIGHLY advised. Pros: **Easy to clean-there's no nooks and crannies and you don't have to un and re assemble it to do. **There's basically NO way for them to escape **There's no 'openings' for them to kick their cage filler/poo out of. **The solid walls prevent a draft, but w/the purchase of an aquarium top provides ample ventilation **The tops that are available for aquariums are actually equipped with 2 circle 'plugs' that can be removed to add all the tubes and such **No obstructions to prevent you from viewing your pet. **There's no corners or other plastic cage parts for them to chew. Cons: **can be 'heavy' to clean. We got an aquarium set up for our new hammy and I'm so glad we opted for that arrangement. The cost for those Fancy plastic cages are INSANE! Our 10 gal aquarium was only $9 at walmart and we picked up the top piece for 5. If you go w/this set up, look for the flat-back 4oz water bottle and then just pick up the suction cups (sold seperately) for it, it stays up just fine on the side walls. I also picked up a silent-wheel that was actually made for one of the habitrail cages, but it came equipped w/a suction cup for mounting on smooth walls. Works just fine....and our little girl gives that wheel a real spin! Stays up perfectly and she loves it! ;-) I would deffinitly consider going w/the aquarium.
- Q: How can I get the feed to keep going down into the cups? The birds peck it out, but it never goes back into the feeder cup. I have to go out and use a wire hook i made up to get it back in the cups so the birds can reach it again. It is a 4 port, about 18 inches tall, the cups are closer to the bottom, so yo'd think the weight would push the seed down into the cups. Very frustrating. It is a plastic tube maybe 1.5 inches wide, and I use black oil sunflower seed (not the shelled kind)
- Yeah, get seed mix, not 100% sunflowers. And my cousin did this. It has a hole for the seeds to come out, not a little slit, right? The feeders with the slits are for thistle seed, not normal seeds.
- Q: Looking at getting a Kamp;N Cold Air Intake and am unable to decide between the chrome or plastic tube? Does one perform better than the other? I know the Chrome would definitely look better under the hood.
- LOL. A cold air intake - you do know that you already have one, right?? Do some research, and don't believe the marketing hype. Well, it's your money to waste.
- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for laboratory use?
- Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for laboratory use. They are often used in various laboratory applications, such as sample storage, centrifugation, and transfer of liquids. Plastic tubes are lightweight, transparent, and can be easily sterilized, making them convenient for many laboratory procedures. Additionally, they are available in different sizes and volumes to accommodate various experimental needs.
- Q: How can the PPR pipe be connected with the metal tube?
- In the PP-R piping system, the transition between the metal pipe and the plastic pipe needs a transition piece, the transition piece and the PP-R pipe are connected by hot melt, and the transition part is connected with the metal pipe through a screw thread.
- Q: What is the shelf life of plastic tubes?
- The shelf life of plastic tubes can vary depending on factors such as the type of plastic used, storage conditions, and the intended use of the tubes. Generally, plastic tubes can last for several years if stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. However, it is recommended to check the manufacturer's guidelines or consult the supplier for specific information on the shelf life of the particular plastic tubes in question.
