- Q: I'm building an ion accelerator which is based off of an ion generator and a coilgun. The ion generator is complete, but I'm looking for a good power supply for the coilgun portion's electromagnet. What is a good sized capacitor bank for this type of application, aiming for extremely short but powerful bursts. Also, is there a good online store to find cheap high capacitance capacitors?
- Ion accelerators usually work off DC, not from a capacitor bank. What energy and current are you looking for in your ion beam? I think that you need to do a LOT more design work on the ion generator. What kind of ion source are you going to use, and what is its current density and brightness? If you want a pulsed high current beam, how are you going to source all those ions? Edit:- How can you possibly hope to get 1.65 amps of ions? Ion sources generally run in the microamp range. Just because the current is available from the supply, that doesn't mean that your ion source will consume it, i am afraid. BTW if you COULD make a pulsed ion source this intense, the military would be very interested - such a source could greatly increase the power of an atomic bomb!
- Q: I received a Judgment against me so I closed all my accounts to protect myself from a possible bank levy. However, I have heard that if I have someone else open an account for me and add myself as the power of attorney, they would be unable to levy my account. Does anyone if this is true?
- By definition a POA gives you authority to do something for someone elsemake medical decisions, open/close accounts, transact other matters 'as if you were that person'. You would not be a signatory on the account and your social security number would not appear anywhere. Acting as a POA has no effect on your own assets. Doing what you suggest for the purpose expressed is illegal. Unless the amount of the judgment is huge and a forensic accountant/investigator is in hot pursuit, it's unlikely an account in your name would suffer attachment unless the bank is known to the creditor. It's not like an APB is sent out to all banks, everywhere to be on the lookout for any accounts belonging to John Doe residing at xxx with ssn of nnnnn. A specific court-issued order must be sent to each bank at which you are believed to have an account. RJ
- Q: A. he believed the Bank had no control over the country's money B. he distrusted the bank becuase he lost money in an investmentC. he believed the Bank was controlled by incompetent people D. he believed the back was unconstitutional
- Here's what Misskitt said two years ago: In Jackson's veto message (written by George Bancroft), the bank needed to be abolished because: It concentrated an excessive amount of the nation's financial strength into a single institution It exposed the government to control by foreign interests It served mainly to make the rich richer It exercised too much control over members of the Congress It favored Northeastern states over Southern and Western states He felt the bank improved the fortunes of an elite circle of commercial and industrial entrepreneurs at the expense of farmers and laborers. After a titanic struggle, Jackson succeeded in destroying the bank by vetoing its 1832 re-charter by Congress and by withdrawing U.S. funds in 1833. 2 years ago
- Q: how does the bank of England setting interest rates affect people unless they have a mortgage with thebank of England because don't individual banks set their own interest rates? Sorry if this is a stupid question I just don't understand it
- there is no DIRECT correlation between the interest fee (value of borrowing ) and domicile fees. domicile fees are tormented by various factors which finally boil right down to grant and insist. That suggested while the cost of borrowing will improve human beings frequently the two have much less disposable earnings (greater is going to provider present day debt) and or do no longer borrow as a lot. notwithstanding loan provider will tinker with the earnings / borrowing ratio and improve new products to motivate custom. In end, an improve interior the backside fee might have an effect (decelerate domicile fee improve) yet it is purely certainly one of various factors affecting fees - the closure of a community college as an occasion might have a miles greater suitable impact in a specefic section. So there you have it - clean as dirt !!
- Q: I'm doing a project in school to make a bank advertisement for the Medici bank in Florence during the Renaissance. I need to know some of the services that they offered. I know the basic stuff like loaning money w/ interest, giving bills of exchange and stuff like that. Are there any specific services that only they offered. Any help'll be greatly appreciated.
- The Bank de Medici bank rolled multiple pope's ascension to the throne, Pope Leo X (1513–1521), Pope Clement VII (1523–1534), Pope Pius IV (1559–1565), and Pope Leo XI. This allowed them to control all banking of the Vatican, which made them the church's official bank. This gave them supreme power as all clergy officials had to bank with them. So, you could advertise it as the Official Bank of the Church and Trusted by the Clergy and the like.
- Q: I was recently told by a family member that because they are Power of attorney, they can spend money of the estate any way they wish. Can a Power of Attorney in the state of Maryland, spend, AT WILL, any monies they wish, according to their judgement, without having to give an account to the offspring of the deceased, where there is no will. Does anyone know about this type of thing? We are not getting any information about anything. If we ask questions, we get, I can do whatever I want because I am power of attorney and I don't answer to you!
- Power of attorney is a legal document which Person A signs to vest Person B with the authority to sign certain legal documents and accomplish certain tasks on Person A's behalf. Any human being who says I am power of attorney is claiming to be a piece of paper, and is thus a doofus. Even if the person HAS power of attorney, it ends when Person A (the signer) dies. Once a person dies, any power of attorney dies with them. The executor then has power over the estate according to the terms of the will. Any beneficiary of the will has standing to file suit against the executor or power of attorney and demand an accounting, especially since they're making statements like that. If there is no will, any of the people who stand to inherit according to the laws of intestate succession (the laws of who gets a dead guy's stuff when there's no will) can bring suit against this person. If they are wielding a power of attorney post mortem (after the principal's death), they may owe the estate every dollar they took.
- Q: I already have Wachovia but i'm thinking about switching to chase. I am a college student and i would like to know why you think what you think. Thank alot!
- Use a bank that is prominent in the area you go to school. If one bank has no ATM's or branches what good is it to you, so go with a bank that has a large prescence in the community that your in.
- Q: If I had the power to see things spiritually or make things disappear and appear I would have spiritually made a lot of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, and electronics appear from HM, Amazon, Victoria's secret, Nordstrom, and Target. I would have done it secretly and no one would have ever known it was me. And I would have changed clothes everyday. People would have seen me wearing True religion, Chanel, Michael kors, Salvatore ferragamo, Gucci, dolce gabbana, coach, Vera Wang, Yves saint Laurent, guess, and Alexander McQueen.Plus if I could see things spiritually and make things appear, I would have spiritually entered every person's home in the United States and stolen $20 from every member of every household. Then I would have transferred all the money I got from 168,000,000 people to my bank account.
- I would really prefer to have the power to make things disappear. Failing that, if I really had to make things appear, I would go down to the local food bank and make food appear. Lots of it. Then I'd go down to the blood bank and make blood appear, then the organ banks. Then I'd look for bigger ones and bigger ones until I was feeding everyone and supplying blood and organs to the whole world.
- Q: I'm 18 years old now, and I need to learn about the fundamentals of banking. Is there a site that can easily explain all aspects of banking there I need to know?My family seems to enjoy having power over my money and bank savings, and I want to know how I can shift these things.
- I suggest going into the branch and speaking with an account representative. I've banked with Wells Fargo for over 10 years now and have had very good experiences with them. They can sit down with you and explore all of your options.
- Q: I recently sold some scuba equipment and got some pretty good money, but I am not sure if I should deposit it because I ow money to IRS, even do I have a monthly payment agreement with them, I'm still worried they may take my money away. Does anyone have true knowledge about this subject?
- Yes, the IRS does have the power to get money from your bank account. It's called a bank levy, but that only happens after they've already sent you notices advising you of their intent to levy and you ignore those notices. Also, these notices are only sent if you owe them money and aren't already taking steps with them to resolve those unpaid taxes. Since you're already in an installment agreement with them and this was a one-time profit, you don't have to worry about the IRS taking your money from your bank account, so go ahead and deposit it. The IRS does have the ability to raise your monthly payments, but only if you show an increased ability to pay (like a new job with higher pay -- something steady and reliable like that, not a one-time sale) and even in that case, they would notify you of your new monthly payments, not just take it from your bank without warning.
