 FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.  What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: I need to have something that makes you think of a tiled bathroom with flair. My work tends to be creative and one of a kind because I work with people to give them the project they didn‘t know they wanted. It really is my passion to keep the customer happy that they had a hand in the layout. So how do you have a quick name that‘s memorable and not a commercial mess like Tile and Bathrooms Incorporated Industries. Anyone‘s help is much appreciated on this. Its been like thinking about the perfect kids name for your future child at this point. Thanks
Luxury Tile Bath Studios Executive Bath Tiles Goddess Bath Tiles Creative Bath Tile Studio DaVinci Bath Tiles . I figure something that makes me think of Mount Olympus Gods Goddesses using the can or something. Not Turkish Baths, though, 'cuz that makes me think you'll stumble upon some gay orgy inside or something. The Studio-bit makes me think that you're really creating a work of art. Maybe, Masterpiece Bath Tile Designs ?
Q: hi i started a tile job yesterday. i was supposed to pull up the old linoleum tile and put new linoleum yile. the only problem was that the ols tile had been put over older tile without being pulled up. so i chipped away a little at a time and it just seemed like it took a long long time. i have blisters all over my right fingers and hand. i still have a big patch to finish tonight, and if anyone knows how to get this stuff up faster please let me know, thank you
You can go to a rental store and get a machine that will take all that up for you. You walk behind it and the blades will rip up the remaining tile. It's big and bulky so you will need something to haul it home. This would save you more blisters but will cost you a little bit money. If it is old tile, then you need to be sure you're not working with asbestos. Hopefully you've had a sample tested.
Q: I now want to match the tile and extend it into my living room and dining area. How would I go about finding the same tile?
Doubtful you find an exact match. Tile is produced in runs or lots. The same line from the same manufacturers, may look very different from different runs. Contact the installer and see if he recalls the tile name and retailer. Doubtful, too. But worth a shot. Whatever you find out, you are going to have to get some samples from the retailer or wholesaler and take them home to match them with the tile in the den. If there is a break at the door then it may not be so noticeable if the runs are different. The other problem is if they installed metal edge trim, it is difficult to remove without breaking tile. Your best option may be to go with a different tile or stone, or a different flooring all together like hardwood. Don't rule that out, it may be a viable plan B, if the you can't get a satisfactory match. And yeah, the installer should have left a few extra pieces.
Q: What type of drill bit should I buy to cut into 4 x 4 ceramic tile on the wall? Can I place the bit into a router? The hole is 10 x 10 and I need it to be 10 1/2 x 10 1/2. There is 5/8 DW w/ metal studs behind it.
Your best bet if your a 1st timer is to have everything layed out and know what your going to do ahead of time..Rent a wet saw to make all your cuts and have a helper / runner to do these if possible.. This will cut down on your time and rental.Straight cuts can be done on a hand cutter but may be harder for the 1 st timer especialy for the beginner w/ some porcelains..Holes can be cut by top and back cutting a square hole since some pipes will have covers.. If not you sometimes you have to split a tile and nip or cut a slot for the pipe..Stool flanges and diverter covers can be nipped sometimes so a pair of tile nippers are a good investment... To start center the tile in room and lay out.. If you end w/ 1/2 a tile or smaller recenter the tile so center line is in the middle of the tile.. Some times you have to make small adjustments in this to get a good lay out GL
Q: i have tiles in my bathroom witch are painted(not me was like that wen i moved in) was wondering if i cud wallpaper or tile over them
You can tile over ceramic tiles but not ideal as they can come off over time. If you get a good adhesive it will work but can be effected in time as water penetration can soften the tile adhesive, You can also use tile paint. It does work well if you do the correct prep work first. Make sure old tile are really clean. It is a fast way of doing a job and very inexpensive. I would not wallpaper in a bathroom....not a good idea in my opinion due to moisture. Not a good idea to tile over any tiled embossed wallpaper surface. Have used tile paint with good success. Its in the prep if you don't do it correctly paint will peel after a time. Instruction normally on tile paint can. Well within the range of normal DIY.
Q: I just bought a new houses that we will build. The decorator went through the selection of tile and want to charge us $9000 for 1500 sf surface and $6800 for a group 3 granite counter top with island. It feels a little pricy. Anybody have experience with new builder and want to expect for flooring and granite counter top?
No - it's not pricey. The tile price works out to $6/sq ft, which is very average. All prices have been rising, too - every week it seems! For my clients, $6/ sq ft is average. You will find cheaper tile, and you will find more expensive - but that figure gives you a good starting point and lots of options. Without knowing the size of your countertops, I cannot comment on the price. However, the average home I work on is at least $6000 for a granite countertop - depends on what color, edge style, and size, of course.
Q: We are in need of installing a tile back splash in our kitchen. Where can you find the best prices on tile? I live in the Atlanta area, and there are lots of places. I am just not sure what a good price is. We are looking for standard 6 x 6 tile. Also, is there any other way to save money in the process? We do have access to a wet saw to cut the tile. Thanks for your help!
If you need a tile saw Home Depot will rent you one.
Q: we ‘tiled‘ one wall and it was our original plan to do just that one.but now,a lot of tile has been not used (of what we bought) and the shopkeeper wouldn‘t take it back.what should we do?we can‘t do an entire another wall because we don‘t have that much tile but,it‘s still a lot.pleease help :)
If they happen to be the smaller 1x2 or 2x2 sized tiles, those you can donate to schools and preschools. These are good for counting. Anything bigger and they' re hard to handle for little kids. Larger tiles can be donated to older art classes for the kids to use. If they are colorful tiles you can break them (carefully) up to use as a mosaic pattern for decorating planters, small counter tops etc. I ve even seen wall art done with broken tiles and framed. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar . GL
Q: all ceraminc tiles, mounted in between to tiles maybe?
yes you can
