FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: anyone familiiar with laying tile flooring? never done it myself but i just bought a house and want to do it. is there anything an amature would mess up?? any info would be great
firstly don't use ceramic tiles on a wooden floor, you will need to do a lot of preparation before doing so. right, concrete floors, basically you find the centre of the room by measuring off the same wall twice, once along each return wall, ping a chalk line across the two marks. repeat in the other direction. you will end up with a large cross. use each corner of the cross as a starting point. the reason for this is that when you reach the walls your cut tiles will be even.. bin tilin' for 10 years. good luck ps don't knock up more adhesive or grout than you can use within approx. 1 hour. its easier and cheaper to knock up small quantities than wasting a load 'cause you've knocked up to much. oh and don't bury your spacers leave them sticking up after about an hour remove and re-use. when left in they can sometimes be difficult to cover with grout.
Q: I dont know if the cabinets are to large width wise... so I might need to trim the tile?
Use a hand-held grinder with a 4 blade and wear safety goggles!!!
Q: Do you seal only the grout or the whole tile and grout?
Just the grout as long as you have a glazed ceramic tile. Use after the grout has set for a few days. 3 days for a penetrating sealer ( recommended) or 30 days for a silicone sealer. All tile grout haze must be off the tiles prior to sealing. I use a hand pump spray bottle and just concentrate on the grout lines. Let soak for approx 10 minutes and buff dry tile with a clean light colored towel.. Don t let the sealer dry on the tiles. Then seal a 2nd time. Penetrating sealers will last for a long time, silicone sealers need to be redone every 6 months to a year depending on the amount of foot traffic and floor cleaning you give it. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q: Has anyone every used Ceramic Tiles to re-do bathroom floors? I‘ve seen it done on HGTV but just wanted to knw if it was really that easy?
If you buy a good tile cutter , take your time and use spacers it is pretty easy. It takes a few days because you have to let it dry good before grouting. Then you need to let the grout dry for at least one day before you seal it .IT MUST BE SEALED . Or all your work will be for not. If it is your first time I would suuggest using smaller tiles, easier to cut. And NEVER start in a corner!
Q: My landlord recently had new bath/shower faucets installed, but didn‘t have matching tiles put in place of the ones that had to be removed in a small section. Do I have a legitimate case against my landlord? It‘s such an eyesore. Everytime I shower, I see the unmatching tiles and get so angry. Aren‘t I deserving of matching tiles?
Actually, probably not. As long as the shower is covered with tile and not bare, it wouldn't be against any health issue. You could ask nicely, but I think since he didn't do it when the faucets were replaced, it isn't going to be done now. Some landlords are so stupid.....You are going to want to take better care of his property if he strives to keep in top condition. You have a bad attitude now I am sure not too eager to keep that shower clean. Am I right? Those kind of repairs are what makes a landlord into a slum landlord. EDIT: YES, you are deserving of matching tiles. Send him a note with your next rent check.
Q: laying sheet laminate over existing ceramic tile on kitchen counter
The best answer, of course, is to pull the tile. If you want, however, you can go right over the top by gluing a sheet of 1/8 or 1/4 sheet product (lauan or cheap paneling) over the tile using mastic. Making sure it is level and solid, you can then apply laminate directly over the top. I've done it on two remodels on rental properties and it worked just fine.
Q: ive never tiled anything before. i was thinking of replacing our old tiles around the fireplace and puttnig in slate ones. i am wondering if its a bigger project than it seems. will i have to remove the mantle to do it. is it harder to tile something on the wall or fireplace than the floor? should i just seek a professional or is it easy?thanks
This okorder /... Bottom line? Maybe this isn't the best project as a first project.
Q: If i have 56 tiles in my bathroom that are 8x8 how many would i need at 13x13
22 tiles at a bare minimum. 8x8=64 s/inches 56x64=3584 total s/inches in the room 13x13=169 s/inches 3584 divided by 169 is 21.2 or 22 tiles. 4/5 pc for scrap so 26/27 total pcs. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q: This is a first time tiling job. Does anyone have any tips to how to properly lay tile?
There are too many questions to ask beforehand to answer your question. The two things I would stress to you as you begin your research: pitch your floor to the drain properly and use a waterproofing membrane according to mfr's directions.
Q: iv just had tile laid on my bathroom floor, they are a rough slate type, There is grout still on then and i cant get it off, can anyone help plz
