—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60.

5. What's the characteristics about porcelain tiles and glazed tiles?
Glazed tiles are colorful, the effect is rather diverse, stain-slip, abrasion resistance but worse than the porcelain tiles. Long-term use may wear a large surface; porcelain tiles have the higher degree, long hard wear surface. Good performance and stable cleanup (before playing the best times to use the wax to improve stain resistance).
- Q:I‘m trying to tile a map using swing (JPanel and JFrame) but don‘t know where to start. - That's the most efficient way to do it. You use math to calculate positions, so the tiles are virtual. Unless you really need to draw tiles with boundaries, don't show them (like the original Warcraft game). Perform all of your calculations like movement and clicks-to-tile conversions based on pixel location. This is far more efficient that trying to do it with lots of actual Java subpanels merged together. But, note that it's a lot of work and you have to carefully work out your calculations to make sure your clicks are aligned correctly. One mistake I made with a hex map once was I used doubles and I casted them to integers too early, and the slight different (by losing percentage) threw all my calculations off slightly. The trick is to create your background image tiles so that they blend seamlessly together on all sides. That will take a LOT of effort.

The large stores like Home Depot sometimes have rules that they won't give anything broken away or even sell it but it's worth asking because they're all different. You may be able to find a Habitat Re-Store that has some as well. When they tear out old houses they often recycle rather than toss the items.

You ll find many brands and styles of vitrified tile. These lean more towards your porcelains rather than the normal clay bodied tile. It s all in the making/ firing process than any thing else. Recently I used a Lysol Bathroom cleaner and now I haved horrible white streaks down the walls where I sprayed it. How can I get rid of the streaks? Is it the product that made them? - White streaks on the TILE? - or the painted walls. The only thing I can think is that that lysol bathroom cleaner was so powerful that it melted your grout (the stuff between the tiles) Only a very strong acid (murriatic?) would melt your tiles, that is ordinary white glazed (shiny) - try cleaning tiles w/car wax - polish - this will clean and make them shine. If your grout is ok - you can wax that too!

- You can tile over the concrete as long as the cracks have to shifted meaning on side of the crack is higher than the other. If that is the case you would need to stabilize the ground underneath first. The most cost effective way would be to have it slab jacked. That being said if there are just cracks first fill with fine silica sand then use and elastomeric caulking. DO NOT USE EPOXY!! This will just cause the concrete to crack in another place. Then you want to install a tile membrane on the concrete and then the tile on top of that. This will allow for some cracking and movement of the concrete below without the tile or grout cracking. Durarock or Tileguard make a tile membrane and can be found a any tile supply house. Hope this helps.
